Colt:
"I don't know... how about hide-and-seek?" he asked, bouncing up. "I'm really good, though, so good luck." he teased playfully.

Quincy
"That'll work! But I'm really good, so good luck," he teased back, wiggling his nose. "I've got a powerful nose." He grinned. "Do you wanna hide or seek first?"

Colt:
Colt decided to be kind and let Quincy hide first.
"You can hide. I'll count here." he replied, plopping down and closing his eyes.

Quincy
"No downstairs," Quincy said, before going to hide. He didn't know how wet it would be down there. He hurried and hid in Miss Q's room, on her bed and under all the sheets. He placed pillows under the sheets in different spots, so there were three lumps that were him-sized.

Colt:
"Okay." he answered, shivering slightly at the thought. Colt proceeded to count; he counted all the way to 50. He was quite good at spelling and counting, since the kids he used to live with had been homeschooled and he had picked up on some information.

Whip
Whip followed curiously after Ace down the stairs to find that a long wooden pole had smashed a window. It was probably the wind, Whip thought to her self. She wasn't surprised; the wind howled like a wounded wolf. She stayed quiet as water began to drip in through the broken window and on to the soft carpet. She could almost imagine the water as high as the desk.

Ace

"not a lot of water should come in", he was pretty sure of it. Even if it did they had the up stairs with plenty of food and water. He looked over at up at whip, "I don't know about you but I think I'm going to try and get some sleep". He was hoping that when he woke up the rain would stop by then, though the way it was coming down he wasn't all that sure.

Whip
Whip nodded slowly as Ace went off, staring at the leak. She supposed there was nothing she could do about it, so there was no point in just looking at it. Grabbing the card, which she had brought down, she limbed up the stairs. When the stairs came to an end and Whip paced down the hallway, she thought of what room she would take. She had never been inside the building, so she had no connections with any of the rooms, so any room with for and a bed would do. She turned to a random door and opened it. She walked to the bed inside and placed the card on the table before jumping onto the bed and lying down.

Ace

Ace Went to the his room, standing in the doorway. He walked in grabbing the jacket on the bed he went to a chair by a window, jumping up he laid down the jacket between his paws. He knew whip would probably be in a room by now, "Night!" he hollered though he wasn't sure if she would hear him from where he was. He moved his head looking toward the window, the curtains was closed but he could hear the rain hitting the window. He sighed and closed his eyes, he fell asleep quickly with the help of the jacket.

Whip
"Good night," she whispered to herself. The rhythmic rain helped her fall asleep and Whip soon found herself dreaming.

The wind roared and shrieked as rain drops the size tennis ball poured steadily form pitch black clouds. Whip stood on the top of a tall building, staring out at the city. Her small rooftop island was surrounded by water. She was alone in a sea of deep, dark water, riddled with debris. Among the branches and trash, she could almost make out small, limp bodies drifting in the water.

Whip's eyes snapped open, her heart pounding. It had been a dream. It all had just been a dream. But the heavy rain outside didn't exactly reassure her.

Quincy
He huddled under the blankets, keeping himself from breathing too heavy. It kept his lump from moving, and he knew he looked just like the pillows because of a picture Miss Q showed him from when just his tail poked out.

(OOC: The real life Quincy just turned 10 on Tues.! He's getting to be an old boy, but he's still adorable. He has quite a bit of grey in his curly black fur, and it just makes him even more sweet. Happy B-day, Quincy! Love you so much, buddy! Not mydog, but I call him my "spirit dog." When my first dog died, Quincy was the only dog in my life and so... yeah. Long Out Of Character, but letting you all know Quincy is 10 now! which is kinda sad bc i don't want him to die soon :c)

Colt:
"Fifty!" he shouted once he had finished. The only response he got was thunder.
Colt angled his ears forward and trotted around the house. At first, it was tedious work, but he soon found Quincy's scent. He eagerly followed it.

Quincy
He heard the little cat count to fifty, and heard him patter around upstairs. He smiled big. He sure was fond of the tom. He waited for him to follow his scent in here and have to choose a lump. All the pillows had been rolled on and chewed lightly on and laid on... They were saturated with Quincy scent.

Colt:
Colt reached the bed and stared at the lumps. The scent led up onto the bed, he thought- of course, he wasn't the best at tracking things, so he wasn't entirely sure. He sprang lightly up onto the bed and sniffed around, cracking open his mouth. Everything smelled like Quincy. This is harder than I thought!

Quincy
He instinctively slowed and quieted his breathing as if a predator lurked outside the blankets. He felt the little cat's paws on the bed, and he stifled a grin. The way he lingered told Quincy that he was confused. He loved playing with him. Miss Q played differently. She cheated. He again had to stop a grin. She yelled his name, sat on the couch, took out treats, jiggled his walking harness.
