World Of Strays - Role Play-

Spruce:
Spruce jumped onto the table and sat down. She sighed, realizing how much Levi must love his home to come back to it. She had never lived in a place like that. She wished she had. Ever since she had been left in the pound, she wasn't the same. Sure, she had loved her second owner, the old lady, but not the house. It wasn't a home; wasn't even a real family. She didn't miss the houses, not any of them. She missed the security of them.

Bailey
"I haven't seen any cats," she replied. Then the water came in. Rain. In the house. She started to shake, her ears pinned back. More splashed in, rushed toward her like a monster, and dampened her paws. She yelped and jumped back. "W..what do we do?" She trembled all over, terrified. To give herself a distraction she put the rope back in hew bowl, an eye on the water. She shifted her gaze to the cat for a moment before turning back to make sure the rain wouldn't touch her. "I r..remember y.you f..from the s..s..store," she squeaked out. "I h..have a ph..phobia of r..r..rain." The explanation of why she was quivering with tail tucked, ears back, and eyes on the little puddle of water didn't save her dignity.

Karma

Karma watched as more water came inside, at this rate they would have to move somewhere else. Looking to Levi, "we can go up stairs" it was the only thing she could think of going with out going back in the rain. Though the more she thought about it the more she didn't like the idea of it, they could end u getting trapped up there with no food. She for one didn't want that to happen, she looked back to the water as it seeped in through the doggy door.

Spruce:
Spruce shook her head. "I don't want to get trapped out there. I should go while I still can." she said, jumping off the table. Her paws touched water, and she hissed. This is not good. Not good at all.

Levi

Levi nodded before grabbing his cow toy and dashing up the stairs. He didn't really care for what any of them thought of his rather unhealthy obsession for cow plushies. The only thing on his mind was getting away from the dangerously high water. Any previous training he had surely didn't prepare him for this.

Bailey
Seeing Levi rush up the stairs did it for her. She grabbed her bowl and dashed up, shivering. She sat down, panting.

(sorry for short post, gotta get ready to leave)

Karma

Karma watched from the couch as both Levi and Bailey ran up stairs, she looked to Spruce. "It might b better if you stay here there's not telling when the rain will stop", she grabbed her bone and jumped off the couch. She started going up the stairs she stopped and looked back, "come on just until the rain stops, besides if you get stuck out there you won't be any help to your friend". She then headed up to where Levi and Bailey had gone.

Spruce:
Spruce stood her ground. "I'm not going up. Not yet. If the water rises past the door... I'll be trapped in here." she said hoarsely, trying hard not to break down. I can't do it. I failed. I tried to keep him safe so he wouldn't end up alone like me and I failed. Forget it, he's probably already dead. Already dead and your efforts will be for nothing. Just quit now...

Whip
Whip couldn't find any place where a card could be other than the shelves. She heard Ace behind the desk and her ears perked up. "Maybe it's in one of the desk's drawers," she murmured to her self. She trotted over to see that Ace was struggling in getting the drawer open. "Let me try," she said, closing her mouth around the handle. She clenched her jaw as hard as she could and pulled, determined not to let it slip from her teeth. It opened. Inside, Whip nosed through the junk to find a card, but this one had a word on it. "We found it!" she exclaimed, her tail thrashing excitedly.

Ace

Ace moved and let Whip try, he wagged his tail happy to see the card. "Now we can get the other doors open", he grabbed the card and left the room. As he did he saw from the window that the rain was still going, he walked to the window looking out. He saw that the streets where covered in water, he wasn't liking the rain any more. "I'm sure we'll be fine" though deep down he wasn't, he didn't know when the rain will stop but he hoped soon.

Whip
Whip saw a look of unease in Ace's eyes as he looked out the window. She couldn't blame him. She thought the rain would have stopped by now, but water continued to pour from the sky. "Why don't we try out the card?" She said to Ace, hoping it would take his mind off of the weather. It wouldn't do either of them any good to be worry about something that might never happen.

Ace

"Yea sounds good" he tried to sound cheerful, though he was still worried about the rain. He headed up the staris, going to the first door he saw. "I can put the key in and you push it open", he didn't think he could put the key in and push the door open. He looked to the windows at the sound of thunder, shaking his head he looked back to the door "ready".

Whip
"Ready." Whip watched as Ace slid the card into a small slot in the handle and a green light flashed for a few seconds. She pushed the door open with her front legs. The inside of the room was much like the other one Whip had been in. She ran over to the metal box and opened it. She smiled when she saw this one too was full of food.

Ace

Ace looked in the room, watching as Whip went for the metal box, "they have that in ever room and it's always filled with food". He noticed that the door began to close, he moved so that it wouldn't lock her in. "Theses doors close on their own if we're going to keep them open we need to find something to put in front of them". He looked around the room, form where he stood he couldn't see anything that they could use.

Levi

Levi climbed on the mound of pillows and blankets on the floor and laid down. He kept his ears perked so that he could listen to the rain, but lowered his head and closed his eyes. He hoped that the rain would pass soon. One thing he hated most, was being trapped inside for long periods of time. Without opening his eyes or moving from his spot, he called down to Spruce. "You can watch from up here, and there are many windows to escape from up here."
