Levi

Levi looked at her curiously but gave a happy smile. "Sure, I guess I could play with you," he responded. He picked up the rope toy and gave a playful growl. He hadn't played in so long and he was starting to enjoy the company of his new friends. He watched the rain for a moment, watching it come down harder and harder. He wasn't scared of the rain, and didn't really worry all that much about it.

Bailey
She also looked outside and gulped. Rain. Too much rain. She shivered, then turned to Levi. He had given a playful growl and grabbed her toy. She instinctively hunkered down, her rump in the air and tail wagging. She responded with a playful growl herself and lurched for the rope, grabbing the end. "Now what?" she asked, grinning.

Quincy
Quincy looked at Colt. His eyes softened as he understood what he must be thinking. "I bet she's okay, Colt. Spruce is much bigger than you, and she's used to roughing the elements, from what I've seen. She'll find somewhere to weather the storm." He looked at the small plastic bowls and dumped some cat food in one. "Here's some food if you ever want to eat. Worry about getting warm." He liked Colt and knew that as soon as the rain stopped he would find Spruce. Quincy wouldn't stop until he reunited the two cats, despite the fact Spruce didn't like him.

Karma

Karma smiled and watched as Bailey and Levi played with the rope, she began gnawing on the bone. She looked up and to the window as lighting flashed lighting the room up, usually the ran didn't bother her but it was coming down hard and she didn't like it. She continued to gnaw on the bone, looking to the window as she did.

Colt:

"I guess..." he murmured. "It's just... she's the only family I have left. I don't want to lose her. I can't lose her."
Even though Quincy had tried to reassure him, it wasn't working. He was scared. There was too much water, and he was still getting used to not having humans.

Spruce:

Spruce staggered to her feet outside of a gray house, gasping for air. She was soaked from head to toe, and her head was spinning.
Colt. Where is Colt? she thought frantically. But she couldn't head out again- it was pouring rain like a waterfall everywhere. No hope.
Still shaking, she began tottering toward the house. She went into the backyard. There was a doggy door- where animals could get in and out. I wonder if anyone's in there... probably not...

Whip
Whip padded after Ace. The room he had gone into was small, and the walls were lined with a weird kind of shelf that held cards. The cards must have been the one that unlocked the rooms. Whip took one of the cards out of its slot and, placing it on the ground, observed it. She noticed there were tiny numbers printed on it. "These numbers on the cards," she began excitedly, "I saw numbers on the doors upstairs. Each card must unlock the door with the same number on it!"

Quincy
His mind flashed back to when Miss Q first disappeared. He had said the same thing. He couldn't live without her. But he had. And it was hard. "I know," he said simply. It wouldn't have helped him back then if someone had reassured him. He sat beside the cat bed.

Colt:

Colt just lay there. Why was his whole world collapsing? The water... the water would seep in soon, he thought. It would seep into the house.
"The water!" he blurted out. "It-it might get in!"

Quincy
He looked down the stairs. All seemed good at the moment. "It'll be okay. I prepared for it. That's why we're upstairs." He turned and looked at his picture of Miss Q. What would she have been doing right now? He sighed and turned his mind back to the moment at hand.

Ace

Ace looked over to Whip from looking at the many cards, "yea but there's only one that opens them all and that's the one we need to find. I don't it has a number on it but a word instead". He wasn't sure what the word was, but he was pretty sure it didn't have numbers on it. He went to a small desk that took up a whole wall in the room, he looked around it hoping to find it nothing. He looked back to the cubbies, putting his front paws on them he reached for one of the top cubbies.

Colt:

Colt twitched his whiskers apprehensively, glancing down the stairs. I hope he's right...


Spruce:

Spruce padded up to the doggy door, mud caking her fur. She thought she could smell the scent of dogs, but she was so battered that it was hard for her to tell.
"Hello?" she called in weakly.

Karma

Karma perked her ears up at a voice near the doggy door they came in from, she got of the couch leaving the bone behind. She poked her head outside seeing a cat covered in mud, "you should come in". She knew it wasn't her lace to invite another in the house, but she couldn't just leave someone out there like that. She moved back inside so that the cat could come in, "how long have you been out there" by the looks it had been awhile.

Spruce:

Spruce eyed the dog skeptically. "A while." she responded flatly, then added: "Is this your house? Who else is here?"
She looked inside, but didn't plan on going in yet.

Karma

"No it's not but it's a friend of mines, there's me and two there's dogs here". she tilted her head to the side, wondering why she didn't come in yet. "I'm sure it'll be fine if you come in, besides it's cold out", she should know she ran in the ran twice today. She gestured t the living room, "come on it's warmer inside" she wagged her tail.

Bailey
She perked her ears to the sound of talking, but continued to concentrate on what she was supposed to do with the rope. She cocked her head, still holding the rope.

Spruce:

"Eh... maybe I will come in. But how do I know this isn't a trap?" she demanded. She had met plenty of deceivers in her lifetime, and she was used to talking her way out of things. She wasn't hesitant to do that now, either.
