Quincy
He was waken from another happy dream by pouring rain. He instantly thought of Colt and Spruce. Where were they? He yawned, padding into the kitchen to get some water. The rain was coming down heavy. A thought struck him. What if it flooded? A heavy resolve got stuck in his brain. He would go upstairs. He didn't like going up there anymore, because it smelled so much like Miss Q and reminded him of her more than anywhere else. But it would be safest. He would drag his stuff up there... He stopped the thoughts. It was just a little rain. Rain happened. He knew that he had been edgy since Miss Q's disappearance, so he forced himself to settle down.

Bailey
She was glad that Levi was staying. She curled up in her new bed and quickly fell asleep. She was awoken by pounding rain on the roof of the porch. Some sprayed in, but very little. "Levi, Karma?" she whispered, her heart pounding. Her ears flattened. Being outside in the rain, without her little house or a place with walls, reminded her of when Ya Know forced her to be in the rain. She could feel the panic coming up to engulf her. She rushed at the house door and began pawing at it, hoping with a vain hope that it would open. She finally stopped, panting heavily.

Karma

Karma opened an eye looking at Bailey as she tried to get in the house but was unable to, she lifted her head up shaking it as a few drops hit her head. "What are you doing it's just rain", she didn't understand why she was freaking out about it. She looked to the yard, she barley see anything because of the rain. It was raining pretty hard, but she didn't think much of it. She stood up and went to Bailey's side, "made there's another place to stay then the porch".

Bailey
She looked to her friend and realized she needed to explain her panic. "Ya Know always forced me to stand in the rain. Even if it pelted hard. I would get soaked and if I tried to get into cover he would slap me." She panted. "It gave me a phobia of rain."

Levi

Levi jumped to his feet when he heard Bailey and Karma get up. Bailey was obviously nervous about the rain. He wasn't affected by it one bit, though he couldn't see very much due to the heavy downpour. "We could always go to my place, it's dry and shelter from the rain," he offered. No other dog besides himself had ever entered his home. It was strange in his mind why he was offering them shelter in what he considered his territory. Returning the favor of being kind I guess.

Karma

Karma turned to Levi, "thank you that would be nice" she looked back to Bailey. "Sound good to you", she knew they would be soaked by the time they got to the house. She turned back to looking at the sky as lighting lite up the sky, while thunder cracked. "Should be fun running in that" she said sarcastically, she didn't really mind the rain as long as she wasn't in it.

Bailey
"Sure," Bailey said. "Thanks." She thought of how special his house probably was, like Man's was for her. She would like to be somewhere with walls. But she knew she would have to run through the rain first. She began to shiver, and she hadn't even stepped into the downpour. A whimper escaped her mouth. "L-let's get this o-over with," she said, clenching her teeth. She could do this. It would get her somewhere warm and dry.

Spruce & Colt:

They set off at an uneasy trot, soon turning into a full-fledged run. The cats slipped and slid, and they could barely see. Colt was confused as to why Spruce was so urgent to take shelter, but he didn't question her. Maybe she knows something about storms that I don't. he guessed.

Whip
Whip was disappointed to hear that the rest of the doors were probably closed. "Do you know how to open them?" She asked eagerly. She knew it was very unlikely that they could open the doors, but it was worth a shot. As she waited for Ace's response Whip noticed something. "Do you hear that?" Whip asked. "The rain has started again. And it's heavier than last time. Much heavier."

Karma

Karma went to the steps of the porch, "it shouldn't take us long to get there at least". She looked to Bailey giving her an encouraging smile, she looked to Levi. "How do we get in we get there", she wanted to know so that she'd know where to run. She looked back to the ran, she didn't want to be in it any longer then she had to.

Ace

Ace nodded "yea there's a card but I'm not sure where it is", he perked his ears up now hearing the rain as well. "We'll be dry in here" he liked the rain he thought it was fun to play in, he went to the double doors putting his front paws on one of them. He looked to Whip, "come on" he pushed the door open and headed to the lobby of the hotel to look out side.

Levi

Levi wagged the tip of his tail, happy they had accepted his offer. "We go through the fence gate in the backyard and there's a 'doggy door' at the back of the house, we get in through there," he explained to the both of them. He took a few steps to the edge of the porch, examining the heavy rain. They were sure to be soaked. He looked at the both of them, "I'll take the lead." He dashed off the porch, feeling the rain pelting at him. He dashed across the road in a blind haze and in no time he had hit the fence gate. Taking a sharp turn into the yard he dashed for the door and in the house he went. He took a moment to shake off before moving out of the way for Bailey and Karma to make their way in as quickly as possible.

Karma

Karma watched as Levi bolted of the porch, she looked to Bailey. "Come we can do it together", she only offered because she had said she had a phobia of rain. She looked back to where Levi had gone, she couldn't see him anymore so he must of gotten in the house already. She broke into a run and headed to the house, looking back to see if Bailey had followed.

Whip
Whip followed Ace to the door and watched the pouring rain outside. "It's raining pretty hard. Should we be worried?" Whip asked nervously. She remembered a dog from the greyhound races telling her a story about a flood. He described how rain poured endlessly from the sky for days before it happened. Then, water filled the streets and seeped through cracks in buildings. Nothing had been safe. Countless dogs had been swept away by the water and were never seen again. The story still made Whip nervous whenever it rained for a while. Of course, there never was a flood, but would there be this time?

Ace

Ace looked at her shaking his head, "no why should we". He saw no danger with it raining hard like this, he looked back out side when lighting light up the streets. Usually he would be playing it, but since it was lighting he thought it would be bad idea. He looked back to her, "do you want to see if we find that card" he wanted to know if he could get the other rooms open.

Spruce:

Spruce wove between the ever-growing puddles around her. The sky was now an ugly shade of dark gray- not good. They needed to get inside quickly. She didn't like the wet ground. It wasn't normal. The ground was suppose to be hard, not soggy.

Colt:

Colt shuddered as muddy water splashed onto his pelt. This dark sky, this hard rain, this ominous feeling- it scared him. He had never experienced rain like this before. He knew Spruce was experienced, but she held an emotionless straight face- she looked determined, but unsure. She wasn't going to tell him that, though; he knew that for sure. She wasn't one to admit she was scared or confused.

Bailey
She took a deep breath and dashed out into the rain. As the rain began to pelt her, she felt the panic rise. Her tongue flopped out and she ran as if her life depended it after Levi. She reached the fence and ran into the doggy door. When she was safe inside, she collapsed on the floor, panting and trying to overcome her panic.

Quincy
The rain was still coming down. He paced, then decided. He began to move his bed upstairs. Just in case. Then he carried his bowl up, then all the bags of dog food he had. Next, he carried the plastic cat bowl. Then the cat food and the cat bed. He grabbed two extra bowls for water. If it came to it, he could use Miss Q's sink. He knew how to turn it on, he just had to jump up on the counter to do so. He looked around, then grabbed a few toys. He grabbed his favorite picture of Miss Q and him. He grabbed some dog treats and a big blanket. He grabbed a cat toy he found when he was looking for what to bring up. He stood at the bottom of the stairs, thinking. Then he sat. Maybe Colt and Spruce would show up.
