Equiverse Mentor Program

The Kindness Club is excited to introduce to you the Equiverse Mentor Program! Are you new to the game and looking for some guidance? Or are you a seasoned player wanting to share some of your valuable knowledge? This post will cover all the information you need to get started as either a mentor or a mentee.


BRIEF OVERVIEW
After signing up, a mentee will be paired with a mentor. The mentor will be able to give game tips or advice, and otherwise be a place their mentee can turn to with questions as they learn the ropes of Equiverse. When the mentee reaches level six, we'll do a check-in to make sure all has gone well. This is the offical end of the club-sponsored mentor program ("graduation"), however mentors and mentees are welcome to continue correspondence after this point.



FOR MENTEES

Sign Up Here.

Upon sign-up, you will receive a care package to welcome you to the game and help you get started. This package includes treats, a set of upgraded tack, and fun decor items if you so choose, and is provided by The Kindness Club. Once you are paired with a mentor, we will inform you with a message.
Please reach out to a TKC admin once you reach level six so we can check in with you! Along with asking how things went, we will also send an optional quiz to see if there are any aspects of the game that may not have been covered during your mentorship.

Mentee FAQ
I'm having a problem with my mentor. If your mentor is no longer active or other issues arise, please contact a TKC admin. We may assign you a new mentor if needed.
I need help/don't understand the game/just returned from a long hiatus, but I'm above level six. Can I still sign up as a mentee? Feel free to fill out the form and let us know your level in the additional comments section. We'll handle these on a case-by-case basis.
I've graduated the program. Can I sign up as a mentor? Yes!



FOR MENTORS

Sign Up Here.

Upon sign-up, you will be sent a message with a link to a questionnaire. This isn't a test! You will not need a perfect score to be a mentor, and you are allowed to look up the answers. These questions will help us understand your particular strengths, and pair you accordingly.
When you are paired with a mentee, you will receive one EVC and a message to inform you of the pairing. Once your mentee graduates, you will receive an additional one EVC. Feel free to contact a TKC admin when your mentee reaches level six so that we can do our check-in.

Mentor FAQ
How many mentees does one mentor get? This is completely up to you! Unless otherwise specified, however, we will default to one mentee per mentor at a time.
Do I have to give my mentee EVD/horses/items/etc? No, your role as a mentor is not a material one. You're there to help, advise, and answer questions. We do not expect mentors to give their mentees any items or game goods.
I'm having a problem with my mentee. If issues arise, please contact a TKC admin. We may reassign you if needed.
I signed up to be a mentor, but I'd like to stop. That's perfectly okay! Just reach out to one of us, and we'll take your name off our mentor list.

Hey! This is a great idea! I'd love to sign up as a mentee, but I realized both your sign up forms are for the mentors. Unless it's supposed to be that way ^^

the mentee link does take you to the mentee form! they look similar at first glance but the description under the bigger title and questions are different :)

Ahh yep. I see that now. I must have somehow clicked on the mentor twice o.o

thank you to everyone who has signed up so far! ♥ we're still in need of more mentors, as a reminder you will earn 1 credit per mentee you are paired with and 1 more credit when your mentee finishes the program. so if you'd like to help a player or two out be sure to sign up!

great idea. i used to run tour guides of equiverse and it was pretty successful but unfortunately i stepped away from ev and it fell off. glad something similar is being started, it 1000% is so much better on new players to have something like this.

Way to go guys! This is a fantastic idea.

Since this is a club operation that involves giving away items I won't be pinning it for the time being, that wouldn't really be fair to the other clubs. The only time we really pin is for information based topics such as tutorials or helpful lists. I'd also be concerned about new players thinking this was an official starter bundle type thing if it was pinned. 

Keep it up though, I think this is a great way to keep a buzz going in the community. I love it!
