Kahlen
Kahlen grumbled and whacked his arm, although not too hard. Well, not hard enough to push him off a dock, anyway. "Not helping."

Auberon
"I'm sorry, I've just never heard that expression before," he said, covering his mouth to avoid laughing (although it wasn't working).

Kahlen 
"That's because not a lot of people use it," Kahlen muttered, trying in vain not to turn pink.

Auberon
"Oh. My gosh, would you ever-" Auberon sighed dramatically, flinging his hand in the air. "It's, ah, it's just so- I can't even."

Mason
 "Sure, but I'm not paying," he replied, shrugging.

Margot
"I'm paying for everyone," Em said. She hurried over to the shop and stepped inside. A blast of air conditioning greeted her upon entering. While it was relatively warm outside, she was glad she had worn a hoodie. Places like this were just a little too cold for her taste. She had already gone over to peer down at the ice cream under the glass by the time Tim entered. 

Kahlen 
"Be quiet," Kahlen muttered, biting back a smile. He really is a dork sometimes.

Auberon
"Yes ma'am," Auberon said submissevly. He blinked tiredly at the floor, his body resuming it's relaxed position in a rebelious way. You just said you didn't want sleep.... figure it out my gosh.

Mason
 The cold air conditioning that blasted him as soon as he stepped into the parlor should have been jarring, but it really wasn't. Every small ice cream shop along every mundane roadside was the same, he'd learned, so the sudden smell and taste of the manufactured air filling his lungs was nothing new. Mason sighed, stepping up to the glass counter beside Em and peering at the ice cream.

Margot
After staring at the different flavors for a little bit, Em looked up at the prices on the wall. This also revealed a variety of other options they had, such as different cones, milkshake flavors, ice cream cakes, etc. Em decided on what she wanted and looked down at the ice cream to just be sure they had enough of the flavor she wanted. "Are you guys ready to order?" Tim, who hadn't really looked at the ice cream very much, nodded.

Mason
 He shrugged, not really caring either way. "I suppose."

Margot
Em nodded and walked over to where an employee stood behind a cash register. She motioned for Tim and he shrugged, stepping forward. "Medium peanut butter milkshake." He stepped to the side and Em filled the gap. "I'd like chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone, please." The employee plugged it into the machine and Em saw her order pop up above Tim's on the screen, along with the increased price. She joined Tim, moving to the side. 

Mason
 "Vanilla cone. The kind that taste like and probably are cardboard," he told the cashier, not bothering to move from his current position of staring down at the ice cream on display.

Margot
She dug out the money from her pocket and paid the cashier. He and another employee started working on their orders, and it wasn't long before they finished. Em took the waffle cone, went to a table, and sat down. She started eating her ice cream, debating if she should tell Tim now or wait until right before. It'd probably be better to tell him ahead of time, because otherwise she might be late.

Mason
 He took his ice cream with a nod, going over to where Em was and leaning against the wall next to the table. He studied her expression quietly, not saying a word until he was almost certain his hunch was correct. "What's wrong?," he asked objectively, his words lacking any sound of concern.
