Greek Mythology Roleplay

Ethel
 "Oh, no, it's fine! It's fine," she hurriedly responded, silently cursing herself for being so vague at first. The least she could've done was be polite, and yet she had worried him. Way to go, Ethel, her mind hissed sarcastically.
 "It's just... why? I mean, thank you and all, but..." she didn't know how to finish the statement, so she left it at that. Ethel wasn't exactly the best at social interaction, and to top it off, she'd never had a crush before. Being so clueless both frustrated and kind of scared her, but she forced herself to act completely oblivious to what he was getting at so that he'd have to explain before she did.

Eudora
Eudora sighed and went to sit down in a corner. She thought it was about time she had her introverted company. She messed around with the ends of her hair and listened to everyone talking.

Jade
Her brain snapped back out of her thoughts at Kahlen's question. I need to stop going into my thoughts so much, she thought. "Yeah, actually, he did, on the beach last night." She blushed a little when she mentioned it, realizing nobody else knew they had been on the beach. "He said they told him I was going to get hurt right before I had my vision, where the Voice knocked me out." 

Bobby
His heart pounded and he could both hear and feel it thumping in his temples. He nervously ran a hand through his curly hair, not bumping his little horns from years of them being there. He was glad the stone was okay (it was one of his favorites), but the rest of her words sent his brain scrabbling for an explanation. The truth, really, was that he had no idea why he had done it. He bent his neck and looked at the strawberries around their feet. "I don't really know," he murmured, his face heating with that annoying, tell-tale blush. "I thought maybe you'd like it." He shrugged slightly, trying not to seem as nervous as he was.

Katie
"....and neither of you thought to tell us somehing that was clearly so important?" Katie asked, but not unkindly. Her brain was whirring, working, gears turning rapidly. Alex had just left safety? For no reason? "He's left the safety of the camp.... so maybe he doesn't feel unsafe outside?" She murmured, thinking.

Ethel
 Her face reddened substantially.
 "Well, I did. It's really nice," she responded, her voice breaking under the pressure and ending up higher-pitched than she'd intended. Why is he so cute and nervous... why am I such an idiot... gods help me.
 Ethel finally managed to break the awkward moment - for her at least - with a question.
 "How rare is it? Like, how easy are they to find?"

Jade
She grimaced. "I completely forgot about it. So much happened last night..." She glanced out toward the water in the distance. "For one, I controlled the ocean and gave the Voice an idea of my skill," she said bitterly. She was still mad at herself for being so easily tricked into doing such a thing. She didn't hear what Katie had mumbled.

Bobby
He shifted on his feet again and, after a moment, pulled one side of his jacket open, reaching in and pulling out a decent amount of opal stones, trickling them from one hand to another. "Opals aren't as common as, say, the rocks in the woods, but as far as gemstones go they are decently common." He paused, a bit surprised at having said a full, intelligent sentence in his nervousness. He'd always loved precious stones. He showed her the handful of opals. They were all milky-white, with the same rainbow of confetti inside as the dark blue one he had given her. Yet each myriad of colors was unique. "All the ones I've collected have a base of a creamy white," he said, and let the stones fall back into his pocket, the jacket settling back against his camp T-shirt. "That was the only indigo one I've ever come across," he finished in an almost-whisper, looking at a strawberry instead of her.

Eudora got up and walked over to Jade and Kahlen. "Not to pry... but what are you guys talking about?" She tapped her toes on the ground nervously.

Jade
She looked up at Eudora. "It's fine. Since I found out I was a demigod, I've been having this creepy voice speaking in my head. They've been threatening me, taunting me... The first time they spoke, I completely blacked out and had a vision in which they spoke to me. We think - Alex and I, at least - it might be the god or goddess who has turned on Olympus and is trying to dethrone Zeus." She paused and then decided to tell everyone what she had only told Alex yesterday. "They tried to get me to black out again, later that day, but I was able to resist. So, the Voice kind of gave me an extreme fear of complete darkness."

"Ya, voices can be... creepy. And weird." Eudora replied looking sideways with a look of dread in her eyes.

Kahlen 
"It wasn't the right time. I knew he'd try something like this. There HAS to be a correlation between the voice you hear and the one he hears. If only I could...." She trailed off. "There's something missing. It's like a puzzle with missing pieces, but none seemed to fit!" Kahlen said in frustration.

Jade
She tilted her head in confusion. "He might be hearing the same voice. But what wasn't the right time? Try something like what?" 

Katie
Katie nodded, agreeing with Kahlen. She then grimaced a bit. "I hate to say it but.... someone should talk to the other Hecate kids. See if they know anything." 

Eudora 
Eudora stood there silently. Hecate kids? She thought. Who's that?

"If I'd told anyone earlier, I wouldn't have enough evidence. I still feel like pieces are missing." Kahlen sighed. "Can't anyone else sense that something is off about him?"

Katie shrugged helplessly. "He seemed cool when I met him. Nothing off to me."
