"-Ava!" Alex had laughed, swerving a little to keep Kaylee on his shoulders. His sister snickered, kicking at Alex's legs again, Floyd shaking his head at the childish antics of his siblings as they entered the diving pavillion - Kaylee had been hungry, o the group dutifully made the trek from the beach back to the camp. He slowed a little, hen he caught sight of the quest group looking distraught. "Hey!" He grinned. "I thought you guy had left already?"

Kahlen 
Kahlen did a double take. She wanted to scream at the sky "WHY CAN'T ANYTHING MAKE SENSE!" but she didn't, for obvious reasons. "Alex." 

Jade
She shot the questing group a sideways glance. While she wanted to say, "See?" she knew she couldn't just ignore Kahlen's premonitions. She was the daughter of Apollo, after all. But she couldn't help grinning and standing up. "Yeah, well, Chiron thought it's important we play capture-the-flag," she said with a small giggle, then the smile faded and she tilted her head at him. "I looked for you at the lava wall, you weren't there. Who won?"

Alex laughed. "Aren't you guys supposed to be, like, saving the world or something?" Kaylee pet determinedly at Alex's head - she was hungry, and they had come for a reason. "I've gotta go get Kayleesome food, but I'll be right back - it doesn't seem like you guys are going anywhere fast." He grinned. "Oh, I definitely did-" "He fell halfway up." Kaylee cut in cheerfully, with a toothy little grin.

Kahlen 
"I thought we'd have... left already, too. Apparently not." Kahlen raised an eyebrow at him, giving a him a challenging look.

Alex
Alex thought for a second, then groaned. "Ooooh. Of course you didn't see us, we were only there for, what, maybe five minutes after talking to you guys? We've been down on the beach since then."

Jade
She laughed. "I guess someone owes me another night at the beach. And ten bucks." She grinned at him and motioned for them to go and get little Kaylee her food. She sat back down on the bench and glanced at the others. "So, what does this mean?" she mumbled.

Kahlen 
Kahlen really didn't trust Alex. She shook her head as he left. 

Eudora
Eudora walked back in where everyone was. "I swear those straberries aren't ripe!" She said sarcastically.

Kahlen 
"This means we need to leave as soon as possible," Kahlen said. 

Katie
Katie chewed absently at her knuckle, thinking. "Well, Shannon did say that a big group of people were going down to the beach today..... I can ask if she saw Alex down there in case he's lying?" She offered. "Do you think he'll follow us?" Katie whispered quietly to Kahlen beside her, as to not distress Jade even more.

Kahlen 
"At this point, I don't care where he HAS been. I need to know where he's going. Wherever that is, we need to beat him and whoever else to it." She sighed. "Or, we wait and watch the world end. Take your pick."

Eudora
"I swaer whenever I walk in, you guys are talking about things I can never quite figure out." Eudora said cocking her head.

Katie
"I'm with you." Katie shrugged, ever loyal. She froze, struck with sudden horror, thinking of a way to excuse both herself and Kahlen. She made eye contact with someone at the Hephaestus table, and thought of a plan. Hey," She began. "Nyssa said she had some gifts to give me for us all to take on the quest, and I don't think I can carry them all by myself.... walk with me?" She proposed to Kahlen, already getting up, with an "hurry up and come with me" look oh her face.

Kahlen 
Kahlen glanced at Katie. "I'll be right back." She got up and followed Katie.
