Anteros nodded. "It'll rehypnotize you, if you let it. You'll forget what we've been talking about, and who we are." He shot a pointed look at Alex. "Seems you've already forgotten Alex, though."

She swiftly pulled the large, fat trout into the bank.

"But I remember Alex. I heard the hum earlier, before you came, and I didn't forget who Alex was." She shook her head. She wasn't hypnotized, was she? The hum advanced once more, but Jade forced it back.

Alex
"No, sweetheart." Anteros murmured. "You've forgotten about Alex, not Alex himself." Alex was quiet, not really wanting to speak.

Eudora
Eudora's mind raced through a hundred questions all at once. Should she really be doing this? Was she doing the right thing? I mean, she was evil after all. She sighed and thought about Jade. Would this hurt her? She got up and walked around aimlessly.

Denver

"About my old gi- I mean, someone close to me," he corrected himself, not wanting Denver to know he had had a girlfriend before. "She died, and I guess Noah just brought back that memory."

Jade
For a moment, she didn't speak. Then, quietly, and not looking at either of them, she said, "What have I forgotten?"

Alex crossed his arms. "This is hopeless." He muttered, looking away. "You and Alex used to be.... well, more than friends."

Katie
Katie jumped a little when James had grabbed her, but relaxed. "Shannon gave it to me as a.... parting gift, of sorts."

James

Bobby
His face was completely scarlet at this point. "In Japan," he muttered, staring at the grass, "the cherry blossom is a symbol of beauty and life - how life is beautiful but short. In China it's a symbol of love and a female's beauty and strength." His eyes were rooted on the strands of grass under his fingers. "And I think they're really pretty," he said, so quietly that he hoped she didn't hear, "like you."

He was kind of afraid to look up, worried that it would snap him out of the dream and it would all fade. And he definitely wasn't sure how to respond. "Thanks?" Bobby replied, making it more of a question.
