Forbidden Love ~1x1 with RegimeBird

Kasimir gave a chuckle. "Nothing," he replied casually. He gave an infectious yawn and returned the nuzzle to Persy's shoulder. He let himself lower to the ground, easing the weight off of his tired legs. He blinked his eyes a few times, the tiredness overcoming him. He realized he hadn't walked so much back at Lagosta, not that it bothered him too much.

Persephone rolled her eyes, trotting a few feet away from his spot. She laid down on the ground, resting her head beside her shoulder. A glimpse of Kasimir caught her eye before she drifted off to sleep. The moonlight struck the sleeping princess, outlining her every feature. She would make a beautiful mate to a stallion some day.

Kasimir watched as Persephone trotted away from him and laid down. "Did I hurt her feelings," he thought to himself. He thought on it a moment longer before shaking it off and laying his head on the grass. Closing his eyes, he soon drifted off to sleep.

Kasimir awoke early the next morning, despite being rather tired still. He stood to his feet and wandered to a patch of grass for an early meal. Persephone seemed to still be sleeping and he didn't want to wake her. The sun was barely up anyways.

Persephone's eyes fluttered open to the brightness of the rising sun and the gentle sound of hoof steps. She took a long yawn, standing up and stretching. I wonder where Kasimir is? It didn't take much to spark her curiosity, as she was already following Kas' scent.

A smile played upon her lips as she caught sight of him. She trotted up to him, giving him a sweet nuzzle on the cheek once she came to him. "Good morning Kasimir!" she happily greeted him.

Kasimir lifted his head to the sight of Persephone standing next to him. "Good morning Persephone, did you sleep well?" He gave her a nuzzle in return before lowering his head for another nibble of grass. The sun was beginning to peek above the horizon and he knew they would need to continue on soon.

"I did, how did you sleep?" she asked, leaning down to take a few bites of grass before they headed off. Persephone trotted over to a small creek, taking a long sip of water. It was only a few feet away from Kasimir. I hope father hasn't sent armies after us. That would be terrible.

Kasimir followed behind her to the creek, "I slept well." He took a quick drink from the cool water. He perked his ears, hearing the sound of hooves growing louder. He looked to Persephone as his eyes widened with realization. Guards He heard them yelling at them and before he had the thought to run, one of the guards had hold of him.

Two another guards snatched Persephone, pulling her away from Kasimir and towards Moonae kingdom. "Kasimir!!" she screamed, trying to get away from the guards. Their grasp only strengthened as they carried their princess back to the kingdom. Tears streamed down her cheeks as they grew farther away from Kasimir.

(sorry for the week long absence, didn't expect to be home on such short notice.)

Kasimir tried to fight off the guards as he stared at Persephone being dragged away from his sight. The guards held on with such force that even he could not fight. "Let me go," he ordered them. They all looked at him and he knew they wouldn't obey his orders. They dragged him away back towards Lagosta beyond his will.

"Kasimir, have you any idea as to how much trouble your in. Do you have any idea what your kingdom thinks of you now," the king was yelling rather angrily. Kasimir held his head down, not wanting to look at his father. He was not ashamed of what he had done and he hadn't a care in the world what his kingdom thought of him.

Persephone kicked and bit the guards as they dragged her to Moonae. "Let go of me!" she commanded strongly, to the guards weird sense of delight in her failed attempts of escaping.

"You are a disappointment to the royal line!!", her father yelled continuously to his daughter. "I should disown you, or even better, throw you into the dungeon!" he rasped, pacing angrily back and forth.

"You don't understand!! He's not what you think he is!" she protested, stomping her hoof so hard on the floor, that it cracked off a small piece of marble. "He is a much better stallion, than you could ever be!" Persephone snapped. A sigh broke from her lips and she spoke a little quieter, "If you keep me from him any longer, I will surely kill myself. At one time I would never say that, but Kasimir has shown me what love feels like."

She lifted her eyes to meet her furious father's, "I will NOT be separated from him, unless he asks of it." Her tone was solemn and forthright.
