Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

The dark lion soared down, bowing to Kacy as he landed. "I was patrolling, and found him at the edge of the Nomad's Land." Tossing the pup to the ground, Assassin placed a paw over his tail. "I was hoping we could get something out of him." He nodded to the two, who together picked Kacy up by her shoulders, as their uncle clutched the pup by his tail. They flew up, and plopped on two low hanging clouds. "Adle, Nebula," He responded through a mouthful for fur, "finish the patrol" They nodded and took off. Assassin turned the pup to look at Kacy, laying on the opposite cloud. He snarled, and yipped, "You'll never get anything out of me!!"

"Don't count on it. Your people started this horrible war and I won't have it!!!!! No one who lives under the Rule of the Savanna Pride will be threatened and will be protected at all costs. However, I refuse to do what my grandfather King Kalumvi did with that hyena pup. Now, TALK!!!!! Or do I have to convince you???" She gently but firmly said, unsheathing her claws, showing how strong, long, and sharp they were, and dribbling them on the cloud as she smiled at the Dole pup. You could tell that she meant business, for she was extremely strong, very muscular, and wasn't afraid to make true of her subtle threats.

The pup snarled and squealed, but the lion holding him dug his teeth into his scruff, breaking the surface of the skin. He squealed and started to speak. "What would you like to know, gosh!" He snorted, and folded his arms.

"First, I want to know all your Pack's plans. Second, what right does your pack think they have to just waltz in, take the Hyena's ancestral home, and kill every living thing they come across? Your friends are chasing and causing mayhem among the herds. Third, where are those groups of Doles that my two eye's in the sky spied leaving the Nomad's Land going? One thing is for sure, I and my cousin won't stop at nothing to protect my subjects, and defeat you." Kacy growled, showing her fangs, and looked straight into the Dole pup's eyes; her blue eyes flashing.

The young Dole narrowed his eyes and defiantly crossed his paws, and almost immediately, the thick lion holding him shot twenty feet higher, dangling the pup by his paw. He squeaked, and finally gave in. Assassin lowered onto the cloud, and held the pup in his unsheathed claws. "Now speak," he tumbled.
"Hmph," the pup snorted. "Fine." He turned his head towards the Queen. "We want all this for ourselves." He began. "We deserve it, not lions. We are going to wipe out their food, then hyenas, an ally. And the you," his eyes coldly meeting hers. "Lions don't know a single thing about tactics, or how to rule, that's why Doles are here." His eyes searched the lioness's face. "The Golden Kingdom will be ours before you..." The angry lion sliced his throat and dropped him from the cloud. He roared, letting all the balled anger inside his chest out. Standing and shaking his mane, he asked, "Is that all?" He glided, and pressed her cloud to the ground, allowing her to hop off. He bowed, and shot to the sky, straight to his patrol.

Malka's blood stained paws could finally rest, he had done his all. The small gazelle laid lifeless at his feet, her coat torn and her horns nicked. Her beautiful eyes stared at him, lifeless and full of pain. He turned his eyes and roared his grief. His first fallen patient.

Kacy stumbled off the cloud, frozen with shock, her blue eyes huge, gasping for breathe, and her mind going a mile a minute. "No......... this cannot be. I won't allow it!!!! FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She roared to the sky, begging for help, and collapsing on the ground sobbing like she would never stop; crying a river of tears.

A dusky lioness sat under a low hanging rock overhang, panting in the sun as her swollen belly heaved. He roared out weakly but surprisingly loudly in a cry for help, hoping someone in the savanna would hear her.
Her short coat, a dusty sand-cream color, clung to her feminine body as she cried out for help, knowing her cubs would be coming any minute now and it would be a difficult birth.



A ginger lioness with dark green eyes prowled the edge between the Desert and Gateway, careful to remain unseen. She slowly made her way to a series of rocks that sheltered in what seemed to be a large pride of lionesses and some lions. Thankfully the wind blew towards her, so they couldn't scent her approaching.
Letting out a quiet, somewhat submissive growl to warn them of her presence, she drew nearer to them, though careful not to get to close.
"I am looking for your King and Queen!" She declared, trying not to seem like the aggressive, loner lioness she was.

Kalikow strutted through his kingdom proudly, his white, tan, and black pelt easily blending in with the white, tan, and black rocks of the Gateway. Karzai walked just behind him, when they heard the groan of a lioness in pain, both looked at each other, Kalikow grunted, and they raced to see what was wrong. Their father had long disappeared, Kalikow had no mate, for his betrothal to the Princess of the Savanna had fallen through, as she had fallen in love with a rogue, and he ruled the Gateway alone; with only his sister and aged mother as his pride. When he saw the dusky colored lioness lying under the rock overhang, he felt compassion towards her, and cautiously walked towards her; roaring quietly to let her know he and his sister meant her no harm.

Cali growled, stalked towards the lone lioness, with Valido close beside her, and stood before her. "I am Queen Cali, one of the rulers, and this is Prince Valido. My cousin and co-ruler is off with three of our friends at the moment. What is your name?" Valido eyed the landscape behind lioness with his green eyes, making sure she hadn't been followed, and also studied the lioness to make sure she didn't mean any harm herself.

Seeing a lion and lioness approaching, the male a very odd color she noticed, she tensed up, but soon realized they meant not harm. She called out softer this time, feeling a shiver down her spine as a cub sent a strong kick through her stomach. "Oh thank Mufasa someone came!" She said as thankfully and cheerfully as possible when in as much pain as she was.


The lioness sat down as the apparent Queen and Prince approached her. Hearing her, she nodded respectfully before speaking. "My name is Nafsi. I come from very far away, from a long uncontrolled land with no King or Queen, that many consider to be the birthplace of evil. But I only seek a pride and happiness." She said curtly, bowing her head in an obvious attempt to win over the Queen and Prince of this pride.

"Hmmmmmm...... Are you a good huntress? Are you a good fighter? How old are you? Do you desire to have a mate? Do you respect the Circle of Life? And lastly, do you solemnly swear to respect the monarchy of King Herex's linage?" Cali kindly but firmly asked Nafsi.

Kalikow quickly shook his head, for the first sight of the lioness made him hold his breath, and then he smiled at her. "I'm King Kalikow of the Gateway. This is my sister Karzai. She knows how to helps lionesses giving birth. I shall scout around to make sure no threat is near." He walked off fast, leaving Karzai smiling at the laboring lioness, and gently helping her get comfortable as possible on the sandy floor under the overhang.

The series of words which formed slowly in her mind into questions came at Nafsi quickly, almost to quick for her sharp mind. "I am one of the best fighters from my...homeland. Hunting I never truly excelled, but I am not a poor huntress. I am roughly three years I believe. I do desire cubs eventually, but lions, they aren't really what I desire to spend my life looking after." Taking a breath before continuing, she nodded. "And of course I respect the Circle Of Life, you aren't a true lion or lioness if you don't. And I do, of course, respect the King Herex's offspring and their leadership and will until I die." Nafsi answered, a glint of respect showing in her eyes, but it held only briefly. Nafsi, though she knew her place and respected what was to be respected, had been raised on the fact that if you show to much respect, you seem week and dependent, which her "home" had found undesirable in a lioness.


Nodding to the lion, she turned her gaze to the lioness before squeezing her eyes shut as she felt another wave of pain wash over her lower body. "Oh, Karzai that's a nice name." She nodded, her voice airy and obviously in pain. "If you can't tell, this is my first time...and it feels like a thousand huge cubs are clawing and scratching my belly from the inside." She muttered with a forced chuckled as she collapsed her head onto the ground, crying out in pain once more.

"Very well. I and my cousin want strong, fierce, and loyal lionesses to be in our pride. We don't expect you to be like robots, whatever those things are, to follow without a complaint, but want lionesses who are unique, have their own personalities, and loves cubs. If you want, whenever the lionesses go hunting, you can cub-sit the little ones, if you desire too. As long as you show respect for the Royal Family, you can bet your tail that we will respect you. Our pride is built upon respect, for each other as lions, to the animals, for the food they provide us, and in turn; we protect them from threats of other predators that kill them just for fun. And the fighting question is important, for WE ARE AT WAR. With a dangerous foe, the Doles. They are bent upon destroying the hyena's, the animals, and us to take the land as far as your eyes can see for themselves. We won't stand for it and won't back down from their tyranny. Not now, not ever!!!!!" Cali stomped her front left paw on the ground hard, growling, and her eyes flashing. Valido smiled and nodded, "Welcome to the Savanna Pride Nafsi. You are welcome to be here for as long as you desire."

Karzai growled, as she gently rubbed her right paw on the laboring lioness's belly, coaxing the cubs to come out, and to help ease her pain with rubs. Kalikow could be seen in the distance time to time, when he was in the open, while the rest of the time he completely blended into the landscape, continuously looking for any possible dangers, and also trying to keep his mind off the lioness; for he desired her, not only to join his pride, but to be his Queen, and Mate. However, he didn't even know her name, nor what she was like, so he knew he had to force himself to wait before asking such a sensitive question with those five dreaded yet most wonderful words.

Nafsi nodded in respect to Queen Cali. "Thank you, my new Queen, for accepting me. You cannot possibly understand how grateful I am to be in your pride and to give this a chance." She said, offering as much of a smile as she could muster. "Pardon that I do not show my emotions very clearly. In my former home that was looked down upon and not something my mother approved of." She said with an extremely fake laugh, which sparked a bit of guilt inside her, as if her mother and home was a laughing matter.


Huffing, she began to push as she felt another wave of pain. Repeating this painful process three more times with the help of the princess, four tiny wet bundles lay nursing at her belly. She was breathless from both being exhausted and in awe. Laying her head on her paws, positioned so they could feed while she looked at them, she smiled. "Aren't they the most beautiful thing in the world? So tiny and precious..." She sighed in happiness. Looking up at the princess she nodded. "Thank you so much for helping me. You and your brother both."

"We're glad to help. And, I believe my brother has the hots for you." Karzai winked at her and smiled at the little ones.

Valido nodded and trotted off. Cali smiled and invited Nafsi to come with her. "You must be tired. Come, bathe in the spring fed pool, and refresh yourself with the herbal soaps our healer makes for us."
