Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

"Well I hope you find her." she smiled, leaning down and taking one last sip of water. Dollu lifted her head back up and turned around, pretending to fixing to walk off. "Oh I almost forgot!" She turned around and quickly gave him a lick on the cheek, walking away from him almost as soon as she did so.

Teferi stared after her with shock at the kiss and when he felt fireworks; he knew that it was to be. "Hey wait!!!" He gave chase and blocked her path. "You are the one. Come, be my mate, and my Queen. Besides, I have the only livable home in this fire burned land." He sighed and gave her a look of absolute respect.

Dollu pondered this idea for a moment, stepping a step closer to him till she could feel his breath beat against her face. "I will...not be your Queen. At least not yet." she purred, using one of her claws to gently make its under his chin. "I only know your name and status, a girl has to know more before she throws herself into a lion's paws." she smirked rubbing her nose cutely against his.

"Very well. Why don't we go hunting? We may have to dodge a few warriors, but I know where the gazelle like to graze this time of day." He winked at her and trotted off. The fire had burned all of grass except into the Savanna, for the river was a natural firebreak, and had stopped it from crossing into the Savanna. He crossed the log bridge and sneaked into the long grass towards the gazelle herd.

Dollu followed him, lurking right beside him, she cast a glance at him and smiled. She spotted a sick gazelle, her eyes widened and her fur stood up. Silently she made her way towards it, licking her chops eagerly.

Teferi charged the sick gazelle, who stumbled when it tried to run, and took it down easily. The rest of the herd bolted deeper into the Savanna, passing by Valido, who had just finished his patrol with Moyo, who both stared at the spooked herd, as the hunting party wouldn't be going hunting for several more hours, when the smell of rogues came to their nostrils. Valido growled, indicated with his head to Moyo, who nodded, and they charged where the smell came from. Teferi snarled, grabbed the gazelle, and raced back into the burnt Nomad's Land. "How many times do we have to tell you this. STAY OUT OF THE SAVANNA YOU SCAVENGING THIEF!!!!" Valido and Moyo roared after Teferi before stalking away.

Dollu followed him back to the pond, stopping beside him when they reached it. "How dare they call you a thief!! You're a kind and handsome lion!" she pouted, sticking out her bottom lip and plopping down on her rump.

"Ah, they have this idea that unless you swear allegiance to the Monarchy of King Herex's and Queen Kalina's descendants, you aren't welcome to hunt in the Savanna, and are an outsider. I have no intention of being submissive to anyone, so they kicked me out, and have warned me 'bout everyday to quit poaching, but how else is a fella supposed to eat? They treat me like trash, like they do to every other rogue in these here parts, but one day, I'll show them. There's this secret valley deep in the Jungle, where the Golden City, home to the Throne for the King of Africa is, and whoever sits in it; is ruler over all. I want to find it, but it's fiercely protected by King Zala, and he doesn't take kindly to outsiders like me. Also, it is said that there's this curse that surrounds the city, if trespassers invade, they are cursed forever. I don't believe in it, but can't go exploring for I need a Queen to take the Throne. It may take awhile, but that Golden City isn't going anywhere anytime soon." Teferi scratched at a pesky flea while he told Dollu this.

Dollu nodded, standing up and walking into the water. "You eat, I'm not that hungry." she spoke while wading in the water. She considered him a potential mate, he wouldn't reject her and he would have her as his queen. But the thought of Sengo always made her doubt in having another mate.

"You are hesitating. Why? Has someone hurt you my fair maiden?" Teferi bowed to her and then dug into the warm carcass; enjoying each morsel and wolfing it down for it was the first meal he had in two weeks. He was happy that he was successful at catching it before he was driven out once more by the angry warriors.

Dollu sighed, stepping out of the water and standing in front of him. "I had a mate once, it didn't go well and we ended up separating. That's why I'm so hesitant. I do not want to say I'll be your mate then later on you will not love me." She turned her head, looking down and letting a single tear fall down her cheek.

"Who was this male? I can't believe someone as lovely as you would be treated this way." Teferi growled, looking up with his mouth covered with blood, and frowned.

(Even when he hears the story, he won't look at it from Sengo's point of view)

(Mkay. Morning by the way! Well, almost afternoon. )

"A lion by the name of Sengo, and his beloved mate, Areli." she spoke with bitterness, standing up and strolling away from him. Dollu's neck slowly turned and she gazed at him for what seemed several minutes before trotting off, away from the pond. She did not want to hurt him, but she didn't want to make a commitment and then he began to hate her.

"Did you say..... SENGO?????" A very angry yet deathly calm voice erupted from Teferi, his face stone-like, where you couldn't tell whether he was furious or being matter-of-fact.

Dollu froze in her steps, not sure if he was about to hurt her or tell her this story about why he hated Sengo. "Yes?" she spoke in a confused tone, not looking back at him again as she was frozen in her path towards the forests. I noticed a dark, gray cloud hovering over the forest, there I would be able to be alone in a cave. Or maybe, not so totally alone..
