Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

(No, the one Dollu is in, is on the opposite side of the forest and the other den. )

Star carefully picked his way through the forest, his wings folded up over his body. He found the den he had been in earlier with Alina, half-expecting her to be there. "Babe?" He called out when he reached it, shaking out his wings before entering. "Are you in here?"

Cobar and Maua giggled, rolling on the floor. "Marzipan!" Maua squealed. "Stop it!!" Cobar used his pale paws to grab at his tail and tugged on it.

The sound of Alina weeping could be heard from inside of the cave, though she was hidden in the shadows. She stayed quiet when she heard Star, staying in the corner of the cave. "Is that you Star?" she asked, raising her head slightly up.

"Yes," Star replied, as he finally found where she was. He padded up to her and lay beside her, wrapping a wing around her. "What's wrong baby?" He looked into her eyes. "Why are you crying?"

"You don't know.." she cried, putting her head against his chest. "Utala...she's, she's dead!" I whimpered, leaning more against him and crying uncontrollably. Alina didn't want to cry in front of him, but she had begun to feel she could show her emotions to him.

Teferi woke up when he felt Dollu cuddle into his mane, smiled genuinely, and purred deeply as he gently nuzzled her.

Marzipan growled, pulled his tail away from the younger cubs, and ran away. He decided to really play keep-away as he was tired of being tackled and wanted to go hunting; but they were still too young for it.

Star gazed at her, confused. "Who's Utala?" He licked her head, trying to comfort her. "Baby?"

Dollu watched the lightning hit a tree, splitting it in a two, she gasped burying her face back into his mane. Her tail fell on top of his, slowly she pried her head from his mane, looking up at his smiling face. Sweetly she kissed his snout, rubbing her face lovingly against his.

"I have never felt this way about a lioness before. I truly love you Dollu. Together, we shall rule Africa, and live forever!!!!" He purred, nuzzled her sweetly, and watched the storm crashing around them.

Cobar and Maua watched him run off, and began to wrestle with each other. "Be careful," Shawari warned them.

Dollu smiled, wrapping her paws around his neck nuzzling his ears sweetly. "So I make you happy? That is my mission, to make you bubbling with joy and so in love with me." she whispered, licking his cheek and muzzle. It wasn't too often that a lion got her attention, but Teferi had definitely caught her eye!

"You don't even know your own daughter..." she cried standing up and hitting her herself against the wall. Alina didn't expect him know who she was, he hadn't even known of her going into labor nor of the death of Utala.

Star stood and grabbed her face in his paws. "Stop!" He pleaded. "Don't hurt yourself!" Star looked into her eyes. "Babe, what happened??"

Marzipan wandered away from the Great Rock, though he hadn't been told by his parents that he could just yet, smiled cunningly, and got off the beaten trail to head towards the river. He walked alongside the river, fascinated by how the land looked after the fire, and the rain that stopped it from spreading any further. "Wow....... this is cool......" He decided to go explore the Nomad's Land itself, walked across the log, eyes shining, and just before he reached the end of the log to jump down; the log broke, he fell down into it, and landed on a soft bundle of fur. "Ah!!!!" Marzipan cried out, groaning from hitting each other on the heads, and then the other cub snarled; startling Marzipan and forcing him to back out of the log. "Who are you, Savanner????" Marzipan managed to get his cool back and growled back; both cubs growling, circling, and eyeing each other when Marzipan dodged to the left. "What are you doing?" The new cub looked at him with a puzzled expression on its face. "My father told me to always fake left or right to avoid any strike from your enemy." Marzipan snapped, to which the other cub laughed, and mocked him. "You always do what daddy says?" "No!!!" "Betcha you do!!! Betcha your daddy's little boy." The cub laughed and walked off. "An outsider doesn't need anybody. I take care of myself." "Oh yeah??? Then why did you just walk onto the head of a crocodile?!" Marzipan gasped, to which the other cub froze, and looked down to see a leering crocodile. "AH!!!!!!!!!" The cub screamed, leaping, and barely missing becoming a crocodile's dinner. Marzipan ran onto the log, crying out encouragement, while the new cub ran over 20 crocodile's head that were all trying to grab it, jumped up, grabbed Marzipan's outstretched paw, and was pulled to safety. But not quite, for the crocodile kept leaping from the water to snap at the log, trying to dislodge it, and have at the two delicious cubs. However, both cubs jumped to safety, panting, pricked their ears at the hissing, looked over the steep river bank to see the crocodiles slipping in the mud as they tried but failed to climb the muddy bank. "I did it.... I did it!!!!" Marzipan cried out with delight, blew raspberries at the crocodiles, the other cub grinned and said, "Ha!!!", and both cubs trotted off laughing. "That was crazy!!!! I mean, did you see the size of their teeth?!?!?!?!" Marzipan commented, to which the other cub nodded, eyes shining, "Yeah, that was wicked man!!! You were pretty brave. My name is Vitani." "Hey, I'm Marzipan." Marzipan winked at her, to which she blushed, and then gave him a quick kiss; surprising Marzipan, who blushed bright red, and hid his face with a shy smile. "Where.... where's your mother?" Vitani lost her smile and sighed, "I lost her to the fire, she told me to take shelter somewhere when she couldn't make it up the steep mountainside." "Oh, I'm sorry... I think one of the other lionesses could take you in. There are several young cubs in the pride besides me!" Marzipan smiled and invited her to come with him; to which she smiled shyly and followed him to his home.

Dollu smiled, wrapping her paws around his neck nuzzling his ears sweetly. "So I make you happy? Alina looked at him with teary eyes and began to explain "One of the cubs died in my womb, which caused me to go into labor. Her name was Utala..." I fell to my knees again, burying my face in my paws and crying.

(ooooo! I'm going to say Ava and Tarnic had their cubs about 5 months ago, and would eb happy to take care of her. c:)
