Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

"I will only be your friend if you want me to, nothing...nothing more, nothing less." he promised quietly, part of him disappointed that they couldn't be more than friends or acquaintances. Sengo reluctantly took back his paw, setting it back down on the ground.

"Perhaps later, depending on what I feel. But for now, even though I don't live with the pride, you need to get accepted into the pride, as one of the warriors, when you are stronger, you can serve the rulers. However, do you respect the monarchy of Queen Kacy and Queen Kali? The descendants of King Herex of Africa." Areli asked him, with all seriousness, and looked deep into his green eyes.

"I respect anyone who does good." he replied while looking into the lovely eyes. Sengo was not sure of the monarchy but he would not lie to Areli. He felt like nuzzling her cheek but she would not like his affections. He would wait till she was ready, and he would always be there for her, no matter their relationship.

"Okay. Come. If you do not come forward, sooner or later, they will find you, and you could be exiled. Or worse, killed. I too would be exiled." She straightened herself up and trotted off.

Star dangled his head, his short mane soaked with tears. Both his parents were buried. Who was he to talk to? He sobbed as he gazed at the meat that lovely lioness had left at his den. His brother was going to be busy trying to woo his crush, and Julie was pregnant, he would be so alone. Another reason he wanted to leave. And worst of all, Malka stole his opportunity to be useful to the pride! How come his father felt to comfortable with that family?? He pressed his wings against his back as he laid down, trying not to choke on the bite of food in his mouth.

Alina heard the sobs of a lion, something she had been hearing more of recently than she had ever heard in her whole lifetime. She followed the sound of the sobbing to a den, only to see a lion having a difficult time trying to eat. "Are you alright?" she called out softly while carefully walking into his den.

Sengo followed her once again, putting a little space in between them so she could recover. He would try to join the pride, but only for Areli. Though he would never tell her such.

(Yummy, ice cream........ *drools*)

Kacy sat on the ledge, thinking, and listening. "What's wrong baby?" Moyo coming up behind her asked. "Simple. It's too quiet. Zuza has informed me that the herds are up to something, especially the water buffalo. They are not happy and for us to be alert." She growled, walking down, and looking at the pride were ready to go hunting. "We shall eat leftovers tonight. No hunting tonight. I don't like the feeling in the air." The pride was a little disappointed, but understood her concern, and listened to their Queen.

Star jumped up, his feathers fluffed up, his wings spread. He hit his head on the ledge, possibly getting a bruise. "Owe," he squeaked. He gazed at the pretty lioness. "Um, not really, but with you here..." Star blushed madly, his chest feathers showing his perplexed emotion. "Sorry," he said, rubbing the bump on his head, "The thing is, I kinda like you..."

Tarzan gazed up at Kacy. "Would you like the Guard to patrol??" He asked, concerned about the buffalo's intentions.

(I can only RP for about a half hour. )

Alina felt her face fluster, this is the first a lion has ever shown any attraction towards her, except for the rouges. "Do you need help with your food? I thought I noticed you were having trouble." she questioned gently, quickly changing the subject after he told her he liked her.

"Yes, be careful. And, two more things. I want you to keep going. Serve me as you served my father. You and the Lion Guard are a key part to our defense. The warriors are a very important asset, to directly protect the Royals, but you protect us ALL. Also, did you not hear Princess Jarkia earlier? She clearly said that Kane must rule as the King of Africa until he dies." Kacy said firmly.

Star pawed at his piece of meat. "I think I'm alright," he replied, gazing at her. "Well, now I am." He blushed. "I've just been crying since my parents died, so it's been hard to eat." He gazed at the stone floor. "I was also thinking of leaving." He murmured. "I have no place in the pride. Other than royalty." Star huffed. "And no one loves me like they do my siblings. I'm the awkward middle child. " He scrunched his face up, realizing how much he told. "Sorry."

Kane's ear perked, for he had been staying in the main den since his parents kicked him out to make room for the new cubs. He stood, "Sorry your Highness," he began. "But me? King?" He shook his head. "But, what about the Queen?" Tarzan was waiting for him outside, as was the rest of the Lion Guard. But no one noticed that the cheetah had been sleeping with...

KALINA!?

"No, it's alright. Well, I've just met you but you can consider me as your friend." she smiled at him, walking a little closer to him. Alina sat down in front of him, just so he could be a little more comfortable. "Couldn't you stay a little longer?" Alina asked him sweetly while looking into his eyes softly.

"It is true Kane. The Prophecy says so. It says, "When the Royal comes, the city will rebuild. Be as it once was before, when the power was roared, all throughout Africa. It is said, that a Princess, descendant of the King of the Earth, when she steps foot into the valley, the city shall rise, awaiting its ruler with anticipation. The cheetah with a mark on his shoulder, a mark of power, shall rule first. The cheetah is the key to unlocking the gate to the throne, for the throne-less King of Africa must wait till the cheetah dies, and becomes the grass to take his place of power. But woe to the throne, for if the cheetah dares to refuse its fate, a hundred years must pass before the city receives its rightful ruler." Always keep that in mind. It obviously says that nothing about you not still being part of the Guard, but you may need to find someone else to take your place." Kacy seriously told him.

Star smiled and pulled back his wings. "I guess I could," he blushed as he began to eat.

"I..i, I have to go." Kane replied and ran out to patrol, his fur spiked from anxiety. I'm King? I'm a cheetah! No one will listen to me! And until I die? He raced a little bit ahead of the rest of the Guard, tears trickling down his face.

Alina tore off some small pieces of the meat, shoving them to him with her nose. "You have very...unique wings." she complemented him, smiling softly at him. Star was starting to grow on Alina, which wasn't normal for her. He had a sweetness to him, in her eyes.
