Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

"Oh, Assassin and Julie do." Star sighed, "But we're defiantly not as close as we were when we were younger. " He laid down, his head on his paws. "It's going to be even harder with out my parents." He looked at her. "They were everything to me."

"Just promise me you won't hurt yourself?" she asked in a genuinely concerned tone, taking her paw and gently lifting his chin to look into his eyes. Alina's icy eyes looked deep into his, making sure he would tell the truth. I laid a tender nuzzle on his head, trying to comfort him as best as I knew how.

Solo decided that before he left, that he would ask Koki if any of his lionesses would be willing to come back with them to strengthen his own pride. He talked with Koki, who nodded, and asked his lionesses. They looked at each other, smiling, and two stepped forward. "We will go serve you King Solo. We can tell that you are in need of more lionesses, as you only have your lovely Queen, and two cubs." Koki and Solo both nodded. Then, Tori said, "Come, it is time to go home." She, Koki, and the other 3 lionesses began to leave, but Aussie hesitated. "What's wrong Aussie?" Tori asked, to which she whispered into her ear, Tori smiled, and walked off without her. "What's up?" Koki asked her when they were halfway back to the Snowy Mountains, to which she told him, "She wants to stay around just in case Assasin wants to be mates with her. She loves him with all her heart, but is scared he doesn't love her as much as she does. She said that she'll come back if he doesn't ask. But I think he will."

Kacy sat on the ledge again, thinking about the news that Zuza had just brought her, which was better, but still wasn't good at the same time. Apparently, the herds had all settled down, as it had been a week since Kunar had died, and Kacy had already proven herself by leading a defensive maneuver against a coalition of rogues who figured they could just waltz right in, and take over the Savanna. Not a good idea, for Kacy, the warriors, and several members of the pride had repelled the rogues attacks on the herds with ease, and sent them back limping into the Nomad's Land. None of the herds had experienced any losses, except for a lone calf from the Water Buffalo herd, to which they were furious, and claiming that Kunar never would've allowed such a thing to happen. Kacy was troubled, for Zuza had just told her that the Water Buffalo were still angry, tearing up the land by their grazing grounds, annoying the gazelle for that was one of their favorite places to eat, and chasing the bushbuck's that they normally didn't mind grazing with out of their swamp. Zuza was informed by one of the many birds that lived with the buffalo that they were plotting something heinous, but every time they met, the birds were shooed off, as they were known as being the loudest beaks in the entire Savanna.

"I won't. " Star promised. "Rubbing his cheek against hers. "Why are you being so kind to me?" He asked her. "I haven't done anything for you?"

Assassin watched as Koki and his lionesses left. Had Aussie gone??? He walked into the den she usually stayed in and saw her there. "Aussie." He said, "I have something to ask you."

"Because you needed kindness. And because you are a sweet lion." she purred, enjoying the tingles of warmth spreading onto my cheek. Alina scooted a little closer to him, enjoying his company.

Star glanced at her. "R..r, really?!" He pressed his face into hers. "Alina," he whispered, and then licked above her nose. "I..I love you."

"No, I didn't go with them, in case you are wondering. It is because, I had a question in my mind, something I wanted you to ask me. I won't leave until you ask it." Aussie told him, hoping against hope that he would ask her to be his mate.

Alina suddenly felt a wave of nervousness, not sure how she should answer him. She simply smiled at him and nuzzled his face, licking his cheeks every now and then. I hoped he would not force me to give him an answer, I couldn't bare telling him I wasn't sure if I loved him. I did like him, but I did not yet know if I loved him, Alina had never felt love, besides her mother's love.

Areli was walking by Star's den and heard him say that he loved her. She was concerned, made a sound that she hoped that Alina would hear, and come out so she could give her a few suggestions of how to delicately word her response. She knew that her daughter hadn't known love, until she came home to her, and wanted to let her know that while it was her decision; she needed to be wise in making it and not make a mistake.

Alina heard something outside and decided to investigate it. "I'll be right back." she promised, nuzzling his muzzle one last time before walking out of the den. She went out of his eyesight, looking at her mother. "Mother, what are you doing here?" she whispered curiously.

"Simple. Follow me first." Areli didn't want Star to hear their private conversation. Once they were about 200 ft. away, she turned, and said, "How do you feel about Star? I don't want you feeling like you are being forced into loving him. It might be better for you two to spend some time together, at least a week, not at night though, and learning more about each other. See if you two are right for each other. It is your decision, but you need to choose wisely. I am only suggesting this, though I want you to be happy, I don't want you to feel forced into anything your heart isn't actually into." Areli smiled and hoped Alina wouldn't think that she was being an overprotective mother.

Alina nodded, understanding her mother's logic "I do like him, and I first I just pitied him, but now...he's just so sweet mother. I want to make him happy, but I am not certain I will be happy. I don't even know what love feels like, besides your motherly love." She sighed, looking down at her paws, a little discouraged. She could not bare knowing the kind lion would suffer because of her, she would not let that happen, no matter what.

"Why don't you suggest spending sometime together, just to see if his love is real, and if you actually do like him as a potential mate; not just as a friend. You can't pretend that you love him. Love at first sight only happens once in a VERY long time, which was the case for your father, and I. I am leaving this up to you, but be careful. It can be nasty business when it comes with playing with ones heart. Don't break his heart nor get your own broken. Tell him how you feel but be gentle in how you say it." Areli said, starting to walk off, and hoping that it all turned out for the best. While she walked through the trees, she wondered about herself, and decided to give Sengo a chance; but only when she felt like it was the proper time. "I'll do it after I find out what has happened with my daughter and Star. I don't need two things of drama on my paws at the same time." She decided in her brain and nodded.

Alina watched her walk off, thinking over her advice for a moment before heading back off to Star. She padded into his den, greeting him with a lick on the cheek and whispering "I need to tell you something." I knew what I had to tell him, and I hoped with all my heart he would not become distraught by my request.

Star watched her leave, his large ears sagging. Does she love me?? He gripped his leopard like tail in his mouth, a thing he did when he was nervous. He wanted to knee her more. He couldn't believe he told her that! Star watched her return, and he dropped his tail. "And what is that?"

Assassin walked closer to Aussie, and sat about a foot away from her. He placed a paw on hers and looked into her beautiful eyes. "Aussie," he began. "I love you. May I take you as my mate?" His brown eyes glimmered. He loved her so much.
