Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

Alina chased the Queen once again, not surprised at all by her actions. I hoped Cali's mate would help, and maybe some other males as well. My mind drifted off as I ran, wondering who this Tutankhamun was. Probably another evil lion, I concluded to myself.

Kunar, Brutus, Valido, and Moyo trotted together in a tight formation. They were on the border between the Savanna and the Nomad's Land. All were on high alert and ready for anything.

Tutankhamum, Rip, and Terror all were nearby by, down low in the grass, ready to ambush Kunar, and Tutankhamum got ready to move. He whispered something to Rip and Terror, sneaked away, and then bolted out into the open. "Can't catch me!!!" He dared with a grin, Kunar snarled, and yelled, "Get him Brutus and Valido!!!!! Moyo, you stay with me." Brutus and Valido roared and gave chase to Tutankhamum; to his disgust, for Moyo was not leaving Kunar's side, as he had promised that all three warriors would leave Kunar's side to chase him, leaving Kunar exposed, and he suddenly realized that even if he shook off Brutus and Valido, Rip and Terror would surely kill him if they didn't succeed in killing Kunar. He raced away far out alongside the border of the Savanna, heading towards the Forest and Jungle, determined to shake off his pursuers.

Alina watched for a moment before chasing after Brutus and Valido. "Hey!" she yelled with a loud roar, getting closer to them every second. "Stop!" Alina roared, catching up to them soon. She knew that they shouldn't try to follow Tutankhamum, it would be a lost hope, for now. They needed to try to find and rescue Cali.

"Warriors!!!! We need you to find Princess Cali. She is missing and I believe that male you are chasing is responsible for it." Kali ordered, Brutus and Valido stopped immediately, Brutus gasped, and Valido turned a shade of who-knows-what-color, roared, and the two males quickly joined forces with Kali and Alina. Tutankhamum quickly realized that he was no longer being chased, thought for a moment with pride he had shaken them off, but then realized with horror that they had changed course, and heading towards where he had left Cali trapped. "You are not taking my mate, no sir you stupid rogue." He growled and quickly took the shortcut to the cave. He climbed down, Cali angrily swatted at him, but he got her muzzle, and paws tied together. Once she was hogtied, he climbed back out, grabbed the vine, and pulled her out. She glared at him, who ignored her, put her on his back, and raced out of the cave deep into the Nomad's Land.

(Does Alina have a good sense of smell? Perhaps she can help them track him down).

Kunar and Moyo continued to patrol, on higher alert than ever, but still were caught off guard when Rip and Terror jumped out in front of them. Kunar snarled, "Get out of my way and out of my Kingdom you stupid rogues." They simply laughed, began to circle the King and his remaining warrior, and leered at them. Moyo knew that they would attack, barely had time to get himself ready when Terror launched an assault on him, while Rip barreled into Kunar's side, instead of the front, knocking Kunar off guard, actually knocking the great lion off his feet, and immediately gave Rip the advantage. He used his long sharp claws and super long fangs to sink into Kunar's side; beginning to rip him apart, though Kunar wasn't making it easy for him. Moyo was having troubles of his own, for Terror was slashing, biting, ripping, tearing, and everything else you could think off as he chased him away from Kunar and Rip's fight. However, he uses his intellect to outwit the big lion, and managed to throw a leaping Terror, who was coming in for the kill, with his back legs, and sending him flying into the crocodile infested river behind him. Terror screamed in terror as the crocodiles attacked him, trying to get away, but could not shake off over 40 hungry crocodiles. Moyo got up, snorted, and trotted back to help Kunar; to which when he saw what was happening, he gasped with horror, felt a rage coming up inside of his very being, and charged. He took a flying leap, his front claws digging into Rip's body, and forcing him off Kunar. Rip groaned, for he had hit his head hard on the dry ground, and looked up to see a very angry Moyo pacing in front of him snarling. "This will be a pleasure to finish you off you little pest. Valido isn't here to protect you no more." He grinned as he darted in, knocking Moyo down, and pinning him. "Good bye Moyo." He went for the throat, but Kunar slapped him hard, sending him flying against a huge rock, knocking him out, and snapping his neck in two. Kunar gasped for breath, his massive body ripped to shreds, stood very unsteadily on his feet, and started to fall over. Moyo jumped to his feet and cried out, "Kunar!!!" He quickly steadied the King, helping him to stand upright, and together they limped back to the Great Rock.

Alina lifted her nose in the air, smelling for Tutankhamum or perhaps Cali. She let out a roar, catching Tutankhamum's scent. I turned my head, looking at the queen, Brutus, and Valido, gesturing for them to follow me. If we did not hurry he would get away, and it would be almost impossible to catch him. I had a talent for hunting, which is where I learned I had a good sense of smell.

Kali, Brutus, and Valido quickly followed Alina. All determined to catch the elusive male and reclaim their princess and mate.

(I need to go shower and go eat. Be on later tonight. :))

The scent continued to get stronger as they got closer to Tutankhamum, Alina growled in satisfaction, receiving pleasure by how close they were. I lifted my head to see a cave, quickly I raced over to it looking down into the hole in the ground first but did not see Cali. "She was here." I called out to them, looking down the hole and seeing some left vines and claw marks.

Kali growled, sniffed deeply, and roared with anger. "He put her in that hole only to force himself on her. We have to catch them and fast." Valido quickly picked up on Tutankhamum's scent and raced up the scent trail.

Tutankhamum ran ever faster, beginning to climb up steep ridges, and leaving the Nomad's Land for good. He continued to climb up into the mountains, growling, Cali helplessly forced to grab onto her back paws with her front paws around his middle to avoid falling to her death from over 200 ft. above the Nomad's Land. She was scared, scared that she was pregnant by Tutankhamum, scared she would never see her family or her beloved Valido again, and scared that she would be forced to be his mate for the rest of her life. Before nightfall, he had put a good 50 miles between him, and the Savanna before he settled down for the night. However, he had made a foolish error, for he had not checked his surroundings before he had forced himself onto Cali again, and then falling into an exhausted slumber. Another lion and his pride were nearby, also setting down for the night after a long journey, when they heard the muffled cries of a desperate lioness nearby. The lion decided to investigate, leaving his pride, and cubs for a few minutes. What he found startled him and infuriated him. A lioness was tied up completely, helpless, and crying. He saw the male nearby, could tell that the lioness had been forced to accept his unwanted attentions, and a feeling of rage and justice came upon him. He sneaked up on the male, quickly took a leap, landed on him, and swiftly killed the male before he could utter a sound. The mysterious lion then turned his attention to the lioness, who glared at him, growling under her wrappings, but he ignored it, untied her, took off her gag, and walked away. Cali gasped, wondering who the male was, looked at the dead Tutankhamum, and decided to take a chance. She quickly followed the lion, found him with his family, they all looked up with smiles, and she was able to go to sleep surrounded by a protective pride; feeling safe at last.

As they passed a small area, lion foot prints scattered across the ground and some blood sprinkled here and there. "You go on ahead, I'll catch up." she told the others, following the small trail of blood and the scent of Tutankhamum became stronger. I let out a quiet gasp when I came upon his body, he was dead. Alina lowered her head down, putting her muzzle above his mouth to feel if any breath was coming from his mouth. She felt a slight pity for the lion, apparently he had loved Cali, despite his means of making her love him she still felt slightly sorry for the lion.

(Is that okay? I didn't want to do too much involving Tutankhamum without your approval.)

Tarzan had been on a walk with Marrana, with Shawari and Tarnic watching the cubs. The male had scented blood, and then came across Moyo and Kunar. "What happened?!" He glared at Moyo. "Who did this." He turned back to his mate with tears in his eyes. "Go get Malka, and Toki!" He screamed. Soon, Malka came bounding out with his small pouch of bottles, some of it he made/found himself. He gasped at the sight of his older brother. "Moyo, please go find Areli." Malka told him. "I can't do this on my own.

Marrana went searching for Toki, and found her on her way to where the water buffalo grazed. She quietly padded towards her, "Toki," she whispered. "I need you. It's me, Marrana. Kunar is extremely hurt." She glanced over her shoulder. "You might want to see him."

Tarzan roared for the Guard, whom came immediately, and surrounded the King, Lily on watch. Kane scouted a little ways, while Malka dabbed herbs and liquids onto Kunar's face. Tarzan gazed at his brother, worried if these would be his last moments.

As Kalina kept look out at the Great Rock, something wanted her to go out. Go somewhere. To some one. Some one hurt. She tried to fight it, but her paws made her stand, and she was soon walking do the rock yelling, "Keldeo! I..i, I have to go!" With that she ran, and ran. Until she saw Kunar. She gasped, and tears pricked at her eyes. "Brother?"

Keno had saw her leave. He didn't want to, but he knew he had to follow his sister, for the powers she didn't know she had were dangerous. And they were triggered by fear, or pain. The dark make launched himself after her, already seeing Kunar's image in his head.

Moyo gasped, "Two rogues, they ambushed us, but we managed to defeat them. I'd be dead right now if it wasn't for Kunar. It was Valido's brothers, who refused to respect the monarchy already established here, and wanted to murder me. I threw one into the crocodile infested river, he didn't make it, just managed to knock the other one off Kunar, who had the king pinned, and would've been killed if Kunar hadn't hit him really hard with his paw." He firmly held Kunar steady, grunting from the effort, and hoped someone else would help hold him steady. Toki came racing up, panting from the run, and helped Moyo hold her huge mate. "Don't worry baby, I'm here." She purred, licking his face, and hoping desperately that he'd be okay. Areli raced up as fast as she could, gasped, and got a very determined look on her face. "Malka, keep doing what you are doing, I need to get back to my den to get my herbal medicines, and bandages!!!" She took off faster than she had ever run before, her heart racing, and worried sick that even she couldn't save the mighty king.

Kali, Valido, and Brutus caught up to Alina staring at Tutankhamum's body. "Oh my, he's dead!" Kali said with surprise, while Valido sniffed around for Cali's scent. "She went this way! Another male came along and obviously killed him. Then, untied Cali, and walked away. Cali followed him, though I wonder why." Brutus pondered this himself, but Kali growled, and stalked up the trail. "C'mon!!!! Let's see why she's following this male." The search party followed Cali's fairly fresh trail and wondered what they would find up ahead.

Meanwhile, Cali was still fast asleep, surrounded by three protective lionesses, two cubs, and a watchful male who was laying on a rock ledge overlooking the trail below them. He spied the search party, growled, jumped down, and quietly woke Cali. She woke up instantly, followed him to the ledge, and gasped with delight. "Mom!!! Valido!!!! Brutus! Utamu!!!! I'm over here!!!" She jumped down and raced towards her family. Valido met her first and they happily nuzzled so hard both nearly knocked each other down. Kali ran up, nuzzled her daughter and son-in-law happily, while Brutus stood back respectfully. The mysterious male stood on the ledge, with his three lionesses beside him, and their cubs wide awake and staring at the new lions. Kali turned to the male to thank him, then gasped, and stared at him; for he reminded her of someone she once knew from when she was VERY young.

Alina followed them to Cali, standing a few feet away from Brutus and the hugging family. I looked up the male standing on the ledge, noticing the mysterious aroma that seemed to exist on the lion. Alina turned her gaze towards the cub, smiling at them, finding them very adorable. "I'm glad Cali is back with her family." I thought to myself thankfully.

Kali couldn't take not knowing who the mysterious lion was any longer. She walked forward and asked, "Thank you for rescuing my daughter, but please pray tell us who you are stranger, so we can thank you for you and your family's kindness." The mysterious lion jumped down, to stand on the same level as Kali, and bowed respectfully to her. "I am the Throne-less King of Africa. Kopa, son of King Taka and Queen Tamu of the Okavango, your majesty, Queen Kali of the Savanna." Kali gasped, for he was her cousin on her grandfather's side, by his first mate, Queen Isa. "You are the only living grandson by the Great King Herex and out of Queen Isa. You are welcome among us, your family out Queen Kalina and the Great King Herex. Please, come with your family, and stay with us for awhile. It is no wonder that you helped my daughter, for you have been raised to be a King, to be kind, fair, just, and protective of those who are being mistreated." Kopa nodded his black maned head, "It is true. When I saw that cursed male molesting the lioness, I felt a feeling of rage, and could not ignore it even if I tried. He did not die slowly, I killed him swiftly, released the Princess, and walked away; figuring the lioness would follow, which she did, and she went to sleep protected by my Queens and mates. That one is Ruby, her sister is Garnet, and that is sweet Balbi. The two cubs are Ruby's, Rupa and Kuby."

Alina backed up slowly, wanting to leave the family for togetherness. Once she passed Brutus she ran back to Tutankhamum's body. She dug for several minutes before finally making a big enough hole for the lion's body. "May the kings forgive you." she spoke aloud, even though Tutankhamum's carcass was the only thing with her. I lifted the heavy lion onto my back, walking slowly to the hole.

Kopa smiled, nodded, the lionesses picked up the cubs, and they got ready to travel. "The Savanna is not far from here, if you go straight down that trail." He pointed out, for he had scouted ahead right after they had arrived where they were standing. Cali was eager to get home and wouldn't leave Valido's side; to which he didn't mind and nuzzled her with affection. Brutus brought up the rear and Kali called for Alina. "We are heading home, c'mon Alina!!!" The Queen was impatient to get home and didn't want to held up. She led the group forward, figuring Alina could easily catch up, and they headed down the trail towards the Savanna.

Meanwhile..........

"Oh...... I think this old lion may have fought his last fight." Kunar gasped out, for his wounds were many, and most were quite severe. Areli had come back, had built a fire, and was sterilizing his wounds with her herbal water. "NO!!! You are not leaving me you big lug. You are going to live and that is an order!!!" Toki growled, struggling to hold him up, as she had told Moyo to go get treated by Areli, and he was resting nearby. He too was rather torn up, but his wounds would heal with minimal scarring, as he was still young. He wanted to help Toki, but she had told him to rest, and she could handle Kunar herself; though it was clear that she was having a hard time with it. Kacy raced up, nuzzled Moyo with a relieved look on her face, but when she turned to see her father's wounds, it swiftly left, and a look of utter terror came across her face. "Oh Daddy......" Then, she turned to Areli, and looked at her sternly. "You must examine me at once Areli." Everyone stopped what they were doing to look at her, Areli looking at Kacy with a puzzled look on her face. "But your highness!!! I must treat your father's wounds right now!!! If they are not cleaned, infection will be sure to set in, and he might die!" However, Kacy's mouth set, and she practically snarled out the words, "YOU. MUST. EXAMINE. ME. AT. ONCE." Areli gulped, quickly had Kacy lay down in the grass, and looked her over while Kunar, Toki, Moyo, and the rest of the pride looked on with worry. Areli suddenly straightened up with alarm, stared at a now smiling Kacy, looked at the worried parents and mate, and grinned at them. She went back to cleaning Kunar's wounds with that huge grin on her face and Kunar stared at her with bewilderment. "Okay, what's the secret Areli?" She looked at her King and cousin with a wink and nodded to Kacy. "Simple Daddy. I am pregnant." She said to him with a giggle, he jerked his head upright, eyes huge, Toki began to smile with glee, and Moyo stared at her with a wide-open mouth. "You are pregnant?! Oh my word........." Kunar began to tremble and smiling. The entire pride began to whisper in glee and smiling broadly in delight for their future queen's little ones to come.

(Wow!!! Kacy and Moyo are going to have cubs!!! How exciting!!! :D)
