Torpid Void

Rowan 
"Uh..." Rowan wasn't sure how to respond for a second. "I, uh, can write a poem? Or a 3 page paper in about an hour, but- I'm so confused."

Louis
He shook his head, still smiling, and rummaged around in the kitchen. The food was interesting. He picked up what appeared to be some sort of fruit and turned it in his hands. 

Harper
"Oh, wait-" Harper looked out of the door again. "So you're a demigod?"

Louis
"Yup." He fingered the camp necklace he still had on despite not having been to camp for a few years now. 

Harper
"Hmm... who's your parent?" Harper asked, leaning against the doorway.

Louis
"An American, born and raised in New York. She married a French dude and so I'm half-god, half-freedom." Louis shrugged and took a bite of the mystery fruit. 

Harper
"My dad married a French... lady. No I meant your godly parent," she huffed.

Louis
"Oh, him. Hermes." Louis was surprised that the fruit actually tasted pretty good, though a bit weird. Hopefully he didn't die of food poisoning. 

Mason
 "...That's not- Jesus Christ I ended up with the most useless person here," he muttered irritably, mostly talking to himself. "I'm-... Sorry, that was kind of rude, I guess. I'd just appreciate it if you'd stop talking about essays and poetry, though as an artist, I can't really fault the poetry thing."

Harper
"Oh, pfft, he's cooler than my dad." Harper went back into her room.

Rowan 
Rowan shrugged. "It's all I ever do anymore, I guess."

Louis
"Doubt it." Louis stood and wandered back to his room. He could sleep, but he didn't feel tired anymore. He wondered if it had been an hour yet, because he was getting bored. Why else was he eating a random fruit? 

Harper
"Nah, my dad is pretty boring. He builds houses- he built ours actually. Like who does that?" Harper sat back down on her bed.

Louis
"That's not boring at all. Pretty admirable, actually." Louis flopped onto the bed and stared at the ceiling, nibbling at the fruit every once in a while.

Mason
 He huffed, shifting slightly. "Honestly, me too, buddy." A pause. "We should maybe try to find, like, a drugstore or something, since, you know...," He vaguely gestured to himself, "I'm kinda in pain and all." That's a massive understatement. I feel like my head's about to explode.
