Louis
He shot a confused look to Harper, then studied the lady before replying. "Good, I guess? Why do you ask?"

Harper
"I, uh, got trapped here when I was six. Never made it back," the lady mumbled, glancing around again and checking something off.

Louis
"Speaking of getting stuck here, what happens to our bodies? Are they here or still back in reality?" 

Harper
"I'm assuming still in reality... but I really don't know. I haven't had contact with reality in years, so how should I know?" The lady sighed. "But the inspection is done, so I'll be going."

Louis
He nodded. So at least I didn't just disappear. That's a mild relief. "Thanks." 

Harper
"Mhmm." She went to the door an exited, leaving the two in peace(?). Harper stared at the door, then, looking over at Louis said, "I've broken more rules than you, by the way."

Louis
"Oh? How so?" Louis picked his cup of water back up and finished it. 

Harper
"I mean in reality." Harper rolled her eyes and went back to her bedroom.

Louis
He tried not to laugh but failed. "I'm sure I've broken way more rules than you have in real life," Louis called to her once he had stopped laughing. Louis, still smiling, returned his cup to the kitchen. She had said the work was much different than in reality, which made him wonder what he would be doing. He glanced at the door to Harper's room and tried to think of ways to get out of this mess.

Harper
"Are you laughing?!!!!!" Harper called back, her voice pretty irritated. "I'll have you know my mother has fought a goddess before!!"

Mason
 Mason cursed under his breath as his new comrade pulled him to his feet, staggering for a moment once he was up before grabbing onto the guy's shoulder to steady himself. He opted to not let go, even once he was somewhat stable. "No, idiot. I was just about to die in an overturned phone booth. Pretty sure that wouldn't have happened if I ha- Ow," He cut himself off, free hand instinctively clutching his ribs once again. "I'm guessing you don't have any medical supplies on you? That's cool. Looks like I'm gonna die here. Tell my mom I love her," he told the dude, his voice a mix of bitter humor and badly-hidden pain.

That just made Louis start laughing again. "I'll have you know," he returned between laughs, "I've fought a god. And a plethora of monsters." 

Harper
Harper peeked out of the doorway. "Umm... my dad was in the zombie apocalypse?"

Louis
He grinned. "My dad's a mailman. You win this time." 

Harper
"Yes!" Harper threw her hands in the air and went back into the room.
