Torpid Void

Harper
"Huh." Harper stared at the floor, then unbandaged her feet.

Louis
He wished he had been able to take his fantasy novel with him, at least. But no. Instead he was stuck with shabby clothing and literally nothing else. Louis finished the fruit and trekked back to the kitchen to discard the pit.

Harper
Harper noticed something shimmer out of the corner of her eye, which instictively made her jump, causing her to tumbled of the bed. She groaned and muttered another series of French-spoken curse words, then looked up. A girl was standing on the other side of the bed, staring at Harper with mock curiosity, her eyes black except for the small amount of ice-blue in her iris. Harper found it slightly hard to speak suddenly, so she shut her mouth and just stared at the figure.

Louis
"Don't swear in my house!" Louis called, having just exited the kitchen. He poked his head into Harper's room then froze. "Who are you?" 

Aerow
Aerow drew her eyes from Harper and rested them on Louis. "I'm Aerow, and I'm assuming you're Louis?"

Louis
"So you're Aerow, huh? Yeah, I'm Louis. Did you just - poof - into this room?" He closed his fingers into his palms and then flicked them out when he said the onomatopoeia. Wouldn't be the weirdest thing I've seen today. 

Aerow
"No, I've always been in here, you just haven't seen me," she replied softly, her voice mezmorizingly quiet, but edged with evil.

Louis
"Omnipresent, then? Still not impressed," Louis said with a shrug. "Anyway, did you make this world/place/thing? What's its purpose and why are we here?" 

Aerow
Aerow closed her eyes momentarily, taking a deep breath and opening them again. "You ask too many questions and think too little."

Louis 
"No, I think plenty. Having trouble reading my mind or something?" Louis half-jokingly retorted. "I can cut the questions if you'd like, Princess, but I'm not one to blindly follow without explanations."

Harper
Harper stood up, fianlly getting over the shock of quite a few things, but she froze again when Aerow looked back over at her. They were probably only an armslength away, which Harper would've widened, but her instincts told her to stay still for some reason. Aerow proceeded to watch Harper, but directed her words at Louis. "You don't catch on to rules well, do you?" she asked. "It won't get you very far."

Louis 
"I could care less about how far I get here, sorry." Louis crossed over to Harper in a couple strides and positioned himself slightly in front of her. "I've probably broken twenty rules during this conversation. I wouldn't know, though. Haven't seen them yet."

Aerow
Aerow looked back at Louis, though that wasn't hard now that he was right there. "Well, we could arrange for you to go to the second division, though it wouldn't do much. You have too much of both sides to you- wherever you go you'll never make it out alive."

Louis
Louis flashed a grin at Aerow, though it held no humor. "A challenge, eh? I assure you, I won't die here. And I know I said I'd stop the questions, but now my curiosity is piqued. I have both sides of what?" 

Aerow
"Well, there's always two sides to everything, is there not?" Aerow answered.
