Torpid Void

Louis
He followed Ace wordlessly, a tad unsteady (okay, that was a bit of an understatement, but he managed). His vision swam but he continued, and thankfully it cleared up.

Ace
Ace led him to the house, opening the door and standing by it for him to enter. "I'll get you some water."

Louis
"Yeah, thanks. Don't poison it," Louis was pretty sure he said as he stumbled by. He found a chair and crashed into it, propping his elbows on his knees and holding his head in his hands to try and lessen the throbbing pain. 

Ace
Ace went into the kitchen, grabbing a glass and filling it with water. He got a towel as well and made it damp with warm water, then brought them both to Louis. "The towel will help the throbbing... I think. At least my mom used to do that."

Louis
He accepted the glass of water but denied the towel by simply not taking it. He sipped at the cool liquid which slipped down his throat with a soothing effect. "Thanks," Louis said, not realizing he had said it not long before.

Ace
"Mhmm." Ace put the towel back into the kitchen, going back and sitting down on the couch. "How'd you manage to get here?"

Louis
"Specify 'here.'" Louis felt better now that he wasn't laying on the street in the sun and had some water in him to stabilize his brain. 

Ace
"I don't even know bro, just give me the whole story of everything," Ace replied, playing with a loose thread on the couch.

Louis
"You're going to ask for my story while I can barely piece two thoughts together? Not cool." Louis paused to take a larger swallow of water. "I was home. I fell asleep. Walked through the black stuff. I got in a bunch of trouble. I'm here. There's the abridged version." 

Ace
Ace sighed and looked down at the ground. "I'll be in my bedroom then if you need anything more." With that, he left to go into his bedroom.

Louis
"Okay." Louis finished the water and set the cup on the ground, then put his head in his hands. He wasn't sure if he was nodding off or slipping in and out of consciousness. What was the difference, anyway? Louis sighed. I can't think right now. 

Ace
Ace closed his door and sat down on his bed, grabbing something from his nightstand and starting to play with that. He had probably opened and put it back together five hundred times, and rearranged all the parts to make it into something different than it was, but he proceeded to do it all again.

Louis
Probably should have had help walking. He was definitely not going to sleep. "Hey, whatsyourname -?" Louis blacked out and slumped into the chair.

Ace
Ace heard muffled talking, and put down what he was doing to go see if Louis was alright. Once he was out, he examined Louis for a minute before going back into his bedroom and resuming what he had been doing.

Louis
He came to, not sure how long he'd been out. His head was pounding even more now, but at least he could think clearly. He stood, grabbing the chair for support, and then walked relatively steadily to what he assumed was Ace's bedroom. Louis knocked on the door.
