Torpid Void

Louis
He studied the layout for a moment. He was standing by another fence, but this one appeared to be electric. They really don't want people leaving. The sand was a darker color, so it was probably comprised of different materials. More plants this time around, though he still didn't recognize any nor did he know which would possibly be poisonous or not. Another town. He glanced at the lady. "Uh, what now?" Louis asked, his uncertainty slipping through just a little.

"My advice? Submit. Do what they want and you'll get out faster." She looked at the fence momentarily then made herself disappear, leaving Louis alone.

Harper wasn't sure what was going on. After Louis had left, some dude came and took her to the second division, which was.... different to say the least. They had then proceeded to chain her to some pillar thing in the middle of the city, which was fun. She had no clue what to do, so she walked around the pillar and examined her surroundings.

Louis
"No, I mean - Great. Very helpful." Louis muttered, turning toward the city with a sigh. Probably shouldn't have pushed my limits back there. Too late now, though. I wonder... Louis spun and stared up at the fence. After studying it a moment, he grabbed a leaf off a random plant and tossed it at the fence. There was a small spark and the leaf shriveled. That looks fun. Let's see how bad it is. Louis reached out and tapped the fence with his finger. Electricity immediately ran through him and he yanked his hand back. Okay, well, not great. That hurt. He sighed and returned to gazing at the settlement. After running a hand through his hair he started walking through the sand until he reached the town border. He tentatively stepped in.

Rowan
"What- okay. Um, any ideas?"

Mason
 "No. That's why I asked you. I've been in a box the entire time I've been here, in case you forgot. Some girl just opened it before you showed up."

Rowan 
"Well then we have a problem because I have no idea what I'm doing."

Louis
Nobody approached him so he wandered further into the town, completely at a loss as to what he was supposed to do at this point. The sun had come up, and so the sand was starting to get warm. He still had no shoes, which was starting to bug him a little bit. 

Mason
 He sighed, finally removing his hand from Rowan's shoulder and moving a few paces away, still facing the other male. "Alright, well, looks like I'm on my own. Unless you plan on following me. I could honestly use the company, but I'm not gonna pressure you. Plus you'll probably die within and hour on your own. But it's your choice." He took a moment to dig a box of cigarettes out of his bag and light one (which was way more painful and tedious than it should have been thanks to his numerous injuries), peering up at Rowan with his eyebrows raised slightly. "Well?"

Rowan
"It's not like I can work on my paper in this place," Rowan reasoned. "I'll come with."

Mason
 He nodded, beginning to walk in a random direction, which was no easy task in his current state. Every other step, he'd wince slightly and utter a string of muttered curses, really only ever cutting himself off when he stuck his cigarette in his mouth. After a while, the routine got boring, so Mase looked back over his shoulder at Rowan. "What's your name? I forgot to ask."

Louis
It wasn't long before someone came up to him, yelled at him for being a lazy punk (or something, Louis just kind of stared at him, completely clueless), and then shoved him into a building. Louis glanced around. It was hot, and there were people milling around doing some sort of menial task. The guy pushed him again but Louis managed to stay where he was standing and looked askance at the tall, heavyset man. "I'm capable of walking without being prodded, thank you," he snapped. That didn't go over well. Unfortunately for the authority figure, Louis was accustomed to battle, and so he easily ducked the blow sent his way. He stepped back, shrugged at him, and then bolted for the door. 

Alice
"What?! You can't just throw me in here for doing nothing!" The demand for attention was punctuated by the stomp of a foot, and the girl inside the bare concrete room groaned loudly when she was thrown a few amused looks. "Nothing?" She scowled at the officer, crossing her arms over her chest and staring down the male although she was already beat. "Dimension hopping isn't illegal, it's-" "Just uncommon." The officers who has arrested her droned in sync. "We know. We get it all the time." The lead male sighed, shutting and locking the door behind them. Alice groaned ever louder, slumping into a basic chair and eyeing the room she was in. It was, as mentioned earlier, hellishly bare, with a meager two chairs, a built in table, and a few windows that showed passing peoples feet - the room mush have been below ground level. Alice considered this, and, throwing caution to the wind, clambered onto the top of the built in table and balancing precariously on the edge before leaping for the basement style windows. Her scrambling up onto the ledge whilst muttering a few choice words was interrupted by her officer strolling back in, and the two stilled and made brief eye contact before the room exploded into motion. The man lunged for Alice as she shoved her shoulder into and through the window, shattered glass raining on the both of them as she started dragging herself through the new escape route, and Alice grunted as she felt a hand roughly grab her ankle. She kicked wildly, feeling her bare foot connect with someone's face as she all but threw herself through the open gap, rolling onto the hard pavement with her chest heaving. She pushed herself to her feet and readjusted her denim/leather jacket combo before taking off into an alleyway, sure she was heading towards the more populated parts of this city.

Harper switched her direction of walking when the chain hit it's final round around the pillar. She didn't know how long she had been doing this, but it was starting to get boring. Surprisingly. She finally sat down with a sigh and looked around.

Louis
He squeezed into a thin space between two buildings, his chest heaving after the mad dash through unfamiliar territory. As heavy footsteps approached, Louis held his breath to stifle the sound of his breathing. His heart pounding, he waited to see if his hiding spot was a bit too obvious. The authority walked past, and Louis slowly exhaled. A few seconds of silence slipped by before he slipped out of the passageway and toward the outskirts of the town. He wasn't staying here, no way. It looked excruciatingly boring. Louis stuck to the shadows as best he could, but there weren't as many as he would have liked. He knew he had caused a minor uproar, because now the place was crawling with determined men and women. The closer he got to the edge of town, the less people he saw, which suited him fine. His foot caught on a rock stuck in the pavement, causing him to crash onto the ground. He winced and glanced at his (now pretty dirty) feet, checking for a possible broken toe. He was fine. He clambered back onto his feet and started walking again, but was brought to a halt when someone turned the corner and made eye contact with him. "Oh, hello," Louis said casually, trying to act like he was supposed to be there. The lady's lip curled and she advanced toward him. Louis crossed his arms and waited. :You're in huge trouble, kid." "I'm an adult, but I still appreciate the warning." The lady snarled and lunged to grab him, but Louis stepped out of reach. Unfortunately, a man had just come around the other corner and Louis backed right into him. He resisted, but it was two against one in close quarters, so Louis wasn't surprised when, a few minutes later, he was being led back into the town. 

Ace
Ace had been doing something, which was making him extremely messy, but that wasn't surprising. He had found something worth tinkering on, mostly out of boredom, and had sat down with it to probably make it explode. Nobody paid much attention to him, which he found weird, considering most of the authorities were trying to get him to just sit still. He looked up to see some dude getting dragged around- a dude he hadn't met before. Ace shrugged and looked back down at what he was doing.
