Kahlen
Kahlen shut the door, a hand over her mouth. "I just- oh gods of Olympus, I just hit you. Are you serious?" She asked the sky, turning in a frustrated circle. "Get in the car, Baker Boy," she muttered. "If possible."

Auberon
"I'm- I'm not really sure I want to," he managed, healing his head slowly due to the amount of laughing he was doing. He sat up stiffly, trying to stop his laughter, but without success. "I swear you probably did that on purpose."

Auberon
Auberon stood up, practically falling onto the car, but managing to make it into the passenger side. "Just don't hit any other poor souls, please?"

Kahlen
Kahlen got back in the driver's seat. "Demigod first aid kit in the glovebox," she said, making a u turn.

Auberon
"I'm fine," he mumbled, strapping on his seat belt when the turn made him almost fall over. "Just don't try that again. I feel like I'm going to pass out."

Kahlen
"Trust me, I won't be," Kahlen muttered, still kicking herself for, however accidentally, hitting Auberon with a silver Altima.

Auberon
Auberon hummed something in response, leaning his head against the window and watching the world go by. His head felt fuzzy for hitting the ground so hard, but there wasn't any damage apart from some possible memory loss. His eyes fluttered closed as he finally passed out from both exhaustion and shock.

~skipping ahead to the next day~
Ezhno
He shrugged into a t-shirt and untied his hair. It was still a bit damp, but did he care enough to pour extra effort into fixing that? Not particularly. It would dry in time, anyway. A few minutes later he tramped down the stairs with a bag over his shoulder. He was early, though he had no intention of arriving at school before the bell. He’d actually be on time today, though. He’d woken up early just so he could duck out of the house before his father was done preparing for the day. Besides, caffeine and scones were calling his name and the cash register longed to possess the money in his pocket. Ezhno pushed the door open and walked to the end of the block, waving down a taxi and climbing inside. He rattled off the address of the coffeeshop he was going to that day. He always made sure to switch it up. The lengths he went to avoid his father were possibly extreme, but better careful then not. After a bit of a dragging trip, he paid, exited the vehicle, and entered the coffee-scented air of the small shop.
Margot
Em was not forgetting her earbuds again. Today, instead of her favorite yellow hoodie, she put on a thin sky blue one. It was forecast to be a bit warmer. With her phone in her pocket and music streaming through the cords of her earbuds, she entered the kitchen. There was Louis, already picking at his toast. “Did you finish that drawing yesterday?” Em asked him, pausing her music for a moment. Louis looked up and nodded. He pulled out a piece of printer paper with a Crayola picture across it. “This is you, and this is the big tower,” Louis said, pointing to what Em guessed was supposed to be the Eiffel Tower. “And this is me, Mom, and Dad. It’s what my first trip will be like.” He grinned up at her. “That’s perfect.” She ruffled his hair, which made him grumble under his breath, and took the paper from him, carefully putting it in her bag. She’d asked him to draw her a picture for in her locker, and this was the result. “I’ll see you after school.” Louis nodded and went back to contemplating whether or not to eat his toast as Em left the house and made her way down the street toward the subway. Her music was going again, and she hummed quietly to herself as she walked.

Kahlen
Kahlen had gotten her homework done somewhere around three a.m. and had since then finished three books and conjugated no less than one thousand regular and irregular verbs. It was now seven fifteen, and she was contemplating eating breakfast. No one was around to pester her about it, since Denver had left two hours ago, and Aunt Claire was still asleep. She finally decided to take an orange and left to school.

Mason
He sighed, blinking blankly at the dirty mirror in front of him, the crack running through it obstructing his image. He traced the aged glass with his eyes, his gaze drifting from one cobwebbed corner to another before finally coming to rest at its point of origin. Mason stared into his own eyes - or, rather, their reflection - for a moment, his mind both blank and simultaneously buzzing with a million questions for the guy staring back at him in the mirror, before finally turning away from the mirror and exiting the bathroom. It took mere seconds for him to reach his bed, where he picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder, and then only a couple more moments for him to reach the door leading out onto the balcony - you could say his motel room was a little small. He flipped off the lights and unlocked the door in one practiced motion, then slipped outside and locked it back as soon as he was out; it was an act of caution, not neuroticism, as he had reason to be so adamant about locking the door. After gazing out across the bleak cityscape for a moment, he jogged down the stairwell, scanning his surroundings out of instinct as he lit a cigarette before starting on his trek to the school.

Ezhno
He walked up to the barista manning the store that morning, eyes casually scanning the menu behind her despite already knowing what he wanted. "A small hazelnut mocha cappuccino, please, and a blueberry scone." The lady told him the price and he paid, shuffling to the side and waiting for his order as others entered and gave their own orders. He was handed his coffee and pastry and moved to a table.

Em's feet followed the familiar route to the subway without her having to think too much about it. It had been traveled enough that she had it memorized and rarely got mixed up on the way to school. The sounds of passing vehicles and others traversing the sidewalks was pushed into the background by her music. Before long she entered the labyrinth of subways and waited about two songs' length before the underground train pulled up. She found a seat and then the train was off. It stopped three times before reaching her stop, where she exited and came back to the world above the dirt. Now she was just a short walk away from the school.

Mason
He'd gotten an early start, so he'd just been wandering around for the last fifty minutes or so, leisurely meandering in the general direction of the school. At one point, he'd purchased a small cup of coffee; the thin paper cup had since been crumpled up and tossed on the ground just like the butt of his cigarette from earlier. Aside from the occasional passerby exchanging greetings with him, Mason's trip had been pretty monotonous. That is, of course, until he caught sight of a familiar face a couple blocks from the school. "Well, look who it is!," he called, smiling widely at Em from across the street. She must've come from the subway.

Em almost didn’t notice Mason. With her music playing, she was pretty effectively tuning out most of the sounds of the world around her. The reason she did notice was because she was watching the street, waiting for a lull in traffic so she could cross, and saw him on the other side. She smiled and waved at him. Once there was an opening, she crossed the road and paused her music, pulling her earbuds out and tucking them into her pocket. “Hi. Are you headed for school?"

"No, I'm on my way to catch a flight to Guatemala," he replied without missing a beat, voice and expression completely serious. "Did I forget to tell you? Oh, right, I found out after you left. I'm going to Guatemala, got an old family friend there, you know the deal. I leave in two hours."
