Auberon jumped when Kahlen talked, looking up at her and giving her a confused look.

Ezhno
He shook his head with mild exasperation. "It's not like that. I inherited some... traits... from my mom. When people make direct eye contact with me they get sad. Sometimes they cry. It's for your own good." Ezhno glanced around the room. Most of the other kids were talking, too, and the group he was with seemed to be generally ignored. He couldn't help but wonder what he had caused to happen to the teacher.

Kahlen 
"I've been trying to figure out that kid's parent since he was driving up here," Kahlen explained.

Auberon
Auberon shook his head. "Why?"

Kahlen 
Kahlen shrugged. "It comes in handy, and it helps to identify people better."

Auberon
Auberon groaned, resting his head back on the table. "You should try leaving people to themselves, and you to yourself," he mumbled. "I, on the other hand, have a very bad headache."

Kahlen 
"A bit hard when I know where everyone is at one time." Kahlen studied Auberon. "I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that you aren't fixing that yourself. Why, pray tell?"

Auberon
"It takes too much energy..." Auberon sighed. "You know that list of people I gave you? Did I put a Cora on there or no?"

Kahlen 
"Oh, and insisting to fix all of my headaches doesn't." Kahlen shook her head in slight exasperation. She thought for a second. "I don't think- wait, who's Cora?"

"What? You deal with them more than I do," Auberon claimed. "Uh- well, hmm... a person..."

"I gathered that, but I still have no idea who this 'Cora' is."

Auberon
"Well, she'll either be my death physically, or my death mentally... I guess..." Auberon mumbled, his words so mixed it was hard to make out what he was saying. "No one of importance- I was just curious if I put her on or not."

"Obviously she must be of some significance, or she wouldn't be considered for the list in the first place," Kahlen commented.

Auberon sighed. "If you see her, run. Brown hair blue eyes- and do not talk to her," Auberon said, giving Kahlen a serious look. "I know you probably won't listen to a word I say, but at least try."

Mason
 "Life-ruining traits? I, too, ended up with some of those. Like how I got my mom's eyes. Would've been way cooler to have gold eyes like my dad, no?," he asked, not really expecting an answer. "I'm just kidding. Well, no, not really. Gold eyes would be pretty sweet."
