Ezhno
"Sure," Ezhno muttered, hand searching the interior of his desk. Inside he found a stray piece of paper, and discovering writing on it, flipped it open. His eyes scanned it curiously before crumpling it and tossing it at the trash can nearby. Just scribbled math equations from last year. Nothing all too interesting. Ezhno's gaze was drawn toward the front of the room as a kid showed off his juggling skills to his friends. The obviously well-practiced routine fell into disarray within the very first tosses and an embarrassed boy stammered how it always worked, and he wasn't sure why it hadn't - Ezhno smirked and turned away. Sorry, kid. 

Kahlen 
"Is there a specific reason...?" Kahlen asked, raising an eyebrow.

Auberon
Auberon looked down at the desk uncertainly for a moment, then looked up at the blank whiteboard without speaking.

Kahlen 
Kahlen studied him for a moment. "... alright then."

Auberon
Auberon bit his lip and leaned back in his chair, avoiding eye contact with Kahlen. He didn't like keeping things from her, but he didn't exactly like explaining anything from his past either.

Kahlen 
Kahlen cleared her throat. "Anyway. You busy tonight?"

Auberon
"Of course," Auberon said, rolling his eyes like it was obvious. "I have a girlfriend- my time is always taken up."

Kahlen 
Kahlen smothered another giggling fit. "Great, because you're coming to dinner tonight." 

Auberon
"Oh wonderful, food," Auberon mumbled, looking over at Kahlen and examining her for a moment. He smiled and shook his head.

Kahlen 
"... You might want to clear your schedule a few nights a week, if possible. Aunt Claire is, ah, very ecstatic about this whole..." Kahlen waved her hand and shrugged. 

Auberon
"She can pester me whenever," Auberon mumbled. "The only thing I have to do in my life is homework and get life from a tree."

Kahlen 
"I still don't understand the whole tree thing." I don't think he gets exactly how ecstatic she is about this.

Auberon
"Yeah, neither do I," he admitted.

Kahlen 
Kahlen shrugged and checked the time with a sigh. "Twenty minutes in."

Auberon
Auberon looked at the opened door and saw the principal walk by. "Best math class ever!" Auberon yelled. The principal poked his head in door and glared at Auberon. "Simmons, my office after class," he said before walking away with a few choice words.
