He shrugged. "It was simple enough."

She silently listened to them, watching them from under her low slung hat brim. 

Shane
Shane nodded. "Yeah, you got to do it alone. How fun," he mumbled, stuffing the notepad back in his backpack and looking for something else.

Quinn
"More of a bore, really. But I guess I'm just used to the adrenaline rush of real danger."

"Really?" Shane said sarcastically. "How exciting."

Quincy
He lifted a brow toward the other guy. "If you dislike me so much, why start a conversation?"

Shane
"Whoever said I disliked you?" Shane asked, confused. He sat down against the wall and looked at Quinn.

Quincy
He smirked. "It practically radiates off you. And you've called me a show-off and judged my lifestyle." Quinn's composure was relaxed, and it was obvious from his expression he was in no way upset by this.

"I never judged your lifestyle..." Shane said quietly. 

Quincy
"Oh? Interesting, I could have sworn earlier you got very upset and told me to stop being a thief." Quinn shrugged. "But of course I could be mistaken. I'm good with things, not people." It was hard to keep his signature crooked [Rosie liked to call it his "evil"] grin off his face, but he did. Many people thought he was serious when he joked around. Which he found quite amusing, so he usually didn't say anything.

Shane
"Oh- well, I don't remember honestly. I have terrible memory," Shane said dismissively. "But I'm apparently annoying without even trying to be, so..." 

Quincy
"If you have that short term of memory loss you should probably see a doctor." He chuckled as Shane finished. "Don't give yourself too much credit."

Shane
Shane tilted his head. "I think if it were a problem my dad would've said something about it..." he mumbled thoughtfully, almost missing the last part of what Quinn said. "Wha- oh. Well, I try."

Quincy
Quinn looked at the clock. When was this thing over? He sighed and slumped against the wall a bit more, fidgeting with his knife handle absently.

She listened to the exchange, going over her reply to someone in her head.
