Only The Strong Survive

Outlaw 
She looked at him in bewilderment. “What’s that?” She questioned. 

Auberon
"Something that would kill me," Auberon said.

Outlaw 
“Well then it’s a good thing I don’t have any.” She replied, pulling out a pack of starbursts.

Auberon
"Those don't kill me though, and uh... heh," he eyed the srarbursts.

Outlaw 
She chuckled, a rare sound from her these days, and pulled out another pack, tossing it to Auberon. 

Auberon
Auberon caught it, making a small squeaking sound. "Thanks."

Outlaw 
She leaned against the counter, opening her pack and unwrapping one, which she then ate happily whilst having a staring competition with her panther. 

Auberon
"So I've been thinking," Auberon started, opening his pack and unwrapping one. "About... well, Sly, specifically."

Ahanu
He adjusted himself so that he was comfortable on the stool, being careful to try and remain quiet. He returned to just staring at the floor, thinking over lots of different things.

Outlaw 
“What bout him?” She questioned, not breaking off her competition with the cat. 

Auberon
"I dunno... I guess just- everything really." Auberon stared bankly at the ground.

Outlaw 
“That doesn’t really help me much” she replied. The cat finally looked away first, and she grinned at her victory. 

Auberon
Auberon sighed. "I dunno... I'm probably overthinking."

Outlaw 
She looked at him in confusion. “Okay?” 

Auberon
"Nevermind," he mumbled.
