"Then why did you keep doing it?"

Charity didn't answer that. She suddenly realized how Auberon felt all those years- trying desperately to get someone to just understand, and yet nobody did. 

Ahanu
"I'm just... Listen. Your past doesn't define you. You might not be the same person as you were then, maybe you are. I'm not sure. But anyway, my point is, what you do today and tomorrow is more important than what you did in the past. If you keep striving to improve, you most likely will. A lot of times guilt stems from not being able to forgive yourself, from staying in the past when we should be living in the present, and from not seeking out the forgiveness of those we wronged when we had the chance." 

Outlaw 
“I heard that you know.” She remarked calmly, looking at him with understanding. “All you have to do is say the word and I’m gone. You should know that by now” she told him gently. 

Charity
Charity just shook her head miserably. "I've tried to let it go, but your faults and wrong doings will always come back to haunt you."

Auberon
"Yeah, well there's a reason I haven't shoved you away yet," Auberon replied.

Ahanu
"I never said that there won't be consequences." Ahanu shook his head. "We can discuss this later." Maybe. "Do you want to stay here, try to sleep, or go back?"

Charity
"I'll try to get some more sleep... you can do whatever," she mumbled.

Ahanu
"I'm staying with you." 

Charity
"Okay." Charity untangled herself from his grasp and sprawled out on the bed, burying her face in the pillow.

Ahanu
"Try thinking of something happy, okay? If you think of a happy memory, story, song, or something it might make a nightmare less likely." He shifted back to the stool. 

Charity
You're literally right there... how much closer to happiness can I get than that? Charity nodded slightly.

Outlaw 
“Aww how sweet” she mumbled, drinking down the whole cup of coffee without regards to the heat. 

Auberon
"I know," Auberon said dramatically.

Outlaw 
She gave him her signature crooked grin (thanks to her jaw) then opened one of the cupboards that was full of candy. “What do I want..”
