Charity sighed. "Whatever you want to talk about is fine. I'm out of ideas."

Ahanu 
"I'm out of ideas too. I don't mind just sitting here." 

Charity
"That works too." Charity closed her eyes and relaxed into Ahanu.

Bryan
 "I'm wondering if my brain will be of any use in this kind of world, or if I should just forget everything I know and resort to shooting my way out of trouble," he wondered aloud, casting Jade a glance. "Don't think I really fit the 'ruthless killer' image, but, considering the zombie apocalypse shouldn't be able to happen, I'm not sure logic and reasoning is worth much out here."

Jade
"It has its place. And there could very well be a logical explanation for this. Maybe a science experiment gone wrong." Or one of the gods is up to something. That's a possibility. 

Ahanu
He smiled and closed his eyes once more. "I might take your advice and get some sleep. Maybe."

Bryan
 "Maybe," he murmured, once again watching the fire dance in front of them. "We're gonna need a quicker mode of transportation. Like maybe a four-wheeler? Some kind of ATV. That'd be helpful. Or horses, though I don't know how to ride a horse very well. I did take lessons for like a week though at the stable at the end of this strip of town. But then I joined a math club that took up most of my time, so I quit." Bryan pulled his knees up to his chest. "I miss math club," he mumbled. "Everything made sense there. Numbers, equations... That all makes sense to me. This doesn't. And frankly? I'm terrified. I guess you are too though. That was a dumb statement. Sorry."

Jade
"Horses would be great," she murmured. Or better, pegasi. Though I'm not sure if that'd be good for his mental health. "I bet we could find a vehicle somewhere." She hesitated, then dug in her bag and handed him a water bottle. "I'm sorry about all this. And that wasn't a dumb statement - you don't need to apologize."

Bryan
 "You don't have to be sorry. It's not like you caused it," Bry responded, shrugging as he took the bottle. He held it in his hands, tracing patterns in the condensation rather than opening it; he'd be lying if he said that many of them weren't mathematical equations.

Charity
"That's a good idea," Charity murmured, almost falling asleep herself.

Jade
"I've always been terrible at math. Do you have a favorite equation or whatever? I obviously don't know math," she added with a small laugh. 

Ahanu
His breathing steadied out as he drew closer and closer to sleep. "Does the door lock?" he asked quietly.

Charity didn't hear him, as she had already dozed off into a dreamless, peaceful sleep.

Bryan
 "A squared plus B squared equals C squared," Bry murmured under his breath, drawing a right triangle (identifiable by the square in one of its vertices, which he made sure to include) on the bottom of the bottle. He blinked, having just registered that Jade had spoken, and looked back up at her as he processed what she'd said. "Uh- That one."

Jade
"Cool! Do you want some paper to write on? I picked up a small notebook in one of the houses we stopped in."

Ahanu
He opened his eyes, confused why she hadn't answered. Oh, she's asleep. Ahanu glanced at the door and saw that it did, in fact, lock. He carefully shifted Charity just slightly so he could stand. He crossed over, locked the door, then returned to Charity. He sat down and leaned against the wall again.

Bryan
 His expression brightened a little. "Yes please."

Jade
"Okay, one second." She dug into her bag and came up with the small notebook and a pen and pencil. She held all three out to him. "Wasn't sure if you were a pen or pencil person."
