Charity sighed. "Can we talk about that later?" she asked, avoiding eye contact with Ahanu. She looked back over at the girl, examining how she was able to hold the flames like that. "Oh! And what she was talking about was even better! I mean, it was interesting enough that she was talking to herself, but you have to have a good subject if you're gonna do that," the girl rambled.

Ahanu
Why hadn't she told him? It was bad enough that she'd gone out without waking him up and letting him know - and he doubted she took the gun, because she forgot it when they went to the stream earlier. He took a deep breath and tried to move on from that. We can discuss it after we're done here. Ahanu turned back to the girl and listened to her talk. What was her point? Why was she following Charity and what did she want?

Charity
"No! We aren't talking about that..." Charity glanced at the ground, biting her lip and prepparing herself for the worst. She doubted, however, that even prepparing herself for it wouldn't take much damage away from the truth. "Well, someone obviously doesn't want their boyfriend to know they hate them," the girl muttered, rolling her eyes. Charity winced abruptly at her words. "I never said that!"

Ahanu
"Wh-what?" I told you it was too good to be true. 

Charity
"I swear I never said that," Charity promised, although her tone didn't sound convincing. "Oh of course- my bad, you said you were using him," the girl smirked slightly. Charity wanted to protest, but her voice got stuck in her throat. Her eyes stung, giving her a terrible headache, and overall she just felt crappy and sleep deprived. 

Ahanu
He took a moment to just pull himself together. His eyes closed for a moment and he took a couple deep breaths. He became all too aware of the fact he was still holding Charity's hand and he let it go. It felt like someone had shoved a metal ball into his stomach. Ahanu opened his eyes and looked at the girl. "Stop following Charity. What she does or says is none of your business. There's no point in sneaking around like a coward. If you're Auberon's sister you should have made yourself known beforehand. Some of us would not have hesitated to shoot at any suspicious figures." If Outlaw wasn't still asleep, that is. 

Charity
"You can't kill what's already dead," the girl said, throwing the flame back into the fire. "And as for Charity- you're probably right. It's none of my business. But it hasn't stopped me before, so I doubt it would now." She looked at Charity, who was now trembling. "But you won't deny the truth, will you?" Charity wrapped her arms around her stomach and looked down at the ground, her mind still racing but her voice unable to work. The girl smiled and looked down at the fire. "Well then, goodbye." With that, the girl extinguished the fire and was gone. Charity fell down on her knees and started sobbing, though she wasn't sure what reasons brought that on.

Ahanu
Her sudden disappearance surprised him, but his attention was drawn to Charity when she fell. He started to reach for her but stopped short, choosing instead to crouch down next to her. "Hey, it's okay." 

Charity
Charity shook her head, still unable to speak. Her head was still throbbing, and she felt cold again.

Ahanu
Andie jumped off his head and started to explore the area. Bambi was still asleep. Ahanu wasn't sure what to do at this point. Biting his lip, he glanced up at the sky. "Do you want to go back?" 

Charity
Charity nodded, frustration seeping through her body unbidden. 

Ahanu
He called Andie back over and put her on his shoulder. She was mildly irritated at her exploration being interrupted and she huffed at him. Ahanu normally would have found it funny, but his mind was preoccupied. He got to his feet and held his hand out for Charity to help her up. Ahanu wasn't sure if she would even accept his help, but he wanted to offer it anyway.

Charity
Charity wiped her eyes, standing up on her own. She would've taken Ahanu's help, but her guilt advised against it.

Ahanu
He lowered his hand and swallowed, looking at the ground. "Okay, let's go, then," Ahanu muttered. He started back toward the forest where they had exited at, glancing back briefly just to make sure Charity followed.

Charity
Charity followed unsteadily, but managed to keep up with Ahanu. She wanted to explain everything go him, but she had no clue what to say.
