Only The Strong Survive

Ahanu
"What's wrong?" he asked, coming to a stop. He glanced around but nothing seemed awry yet. 

Charity
After a moment of both listening and glancing about, Charity's eyes finally rested on one particular place. An old building had started to collapse, leaving stones and wood scattered around the ground. She couldn't see what was behind it; she could only assume, and after much debating, she let go of Ahanu's hand and jogged over to where the building had collapsed. She knew she shouldn't have been surprised by what she found behind the rubble, but it did indeed make her very uncomfortable. Around the corner was a girl, her face covered by a dark gray hood. A fire danced playfully at her feet, eating away at some dead sticks that were placed neatly in a pile to obviously contain the flames. Charity couldn't see the girl's face, but she guess she was probably about sixteen or seventeen. The figure didn't move, except for the ever so slight movements of her breathing.

Ahanu
"Charity -" and she took off. He sighed and followed. He hadn't expected to see another person. Was it a zombie? It didn't look like it. In general, Ahanu felt a bit uneasy about it.

Charity
The girl tilted her head slightly at the sound of the two, but other than that one would have thought she was a statue. Charity kicked a pebble uncomfortably and glanced at Ahanu, then looked back at the girl.

Ahanu
He took Charity's hand again. "Hello?" Some people weren't very nice during the apocalypse. They fought for resources or hurt others just to get ahead. Ahanu didn't understand it, but he was aware of it. It was this that made him cautious of the stranger.

Charity
Charity leaned a bit closer to Ahanu, watching the girl as she took of her hood. Much to Charity's surprise and annoyance, the girl was very beautiful, or at least Charity thought she was. She had beautiful buttercup blonde hair that was almost a towheaded shade, and stunning blue-gray eyes, all of which made Charity feel a bit jealous inside. What bothered her most was the resemblance between this girl and Auberon, although Auberon seemed less likely to kill someone. "Hello," the girl replied quietly, looking back down at the fire. "You're Ahanu, I pressume?"

Ahanu
He blinked. "Uh... Yeah. How did you know that?" I really don't like this. 

Charity
"Oh, I learn things quickly," she explained, shrugging as if the matter was common. "And that's your little girlfriend, Charity. How cute and annoying- now why may I ask have you two come to drive me insane?" the girl placed her elbow on her knee, the her chin on her hand, looking between the two as if she were bored. Charity would have liked to shoot her, but she doubted it would do much good.

Ahanu
He looked at Charity, not sure why they had come here. He hadn't been expecting such a rude response. And Ahanu didn't really like how she knew about them when he, for one, had never seen her before.

Charity
"Uh..." Charity looked down at the ground. "You've been stalking me... haven't you?" Charity asked, although it sounded more like a statement than a question. The girl smiled coldly, eyeing Charity as if going through all the possible ways of killing her. "Of course I have. That should have been obvious to like... everyone."

Ahanu
She's the person that was in the woods? Ahanu subtly shifted closer to Charity, simultaneously positioning himself slightly ahead. The movement wasn't very noticeable, but he didn't like Charity being so close to this... person. "Why have you been doing that?" 

That person/Charity
"Well you guys were doing a terrible job of making sure she didn't get into too much trouble," the girl replied, rolling her eyes. "And then when I somehow found out that Auberon had a ligitament sister, I kinda freaked y'know? I mean, there's so much potential there!" the girl smiled at the fire, which popped from the cracking of wood. 

Ahanu
"And who are you?" 

Charity/that person
"Hmmm, that is a complicated question to answer," the girl replied, putting her hand in the fire and taking it back out as if it was completely natural. The fire danced across her hands easily, which the girl didn't seem to mind. "Some would say I'm Auberon's sister, so we'll go with that! I hate it, but oh well. But as for her safety," she pointed at Charity with a stick that she had picked up, "she gets into so much trouble. Like last night. Off walking in the dark without anyone knowing? Well, pfft. At least she's not dead."
Charity inhaled and closed her eyes, too many thoughts trying to process themselves at once. He wasn't supposed to know that...

Ahanu
"What?" The fact that the girl was holding fire wasn't high on his priority list. He turned to Charity. "Why did you do that? You at least took the gun, right?"
