"Busy." Kahlen said automatically, turning slowly in a circle. Suddenly, her blade cut through the air right next to Mason, and the odd presence disappeared. "There we go."

Ethel
 She glanced back at Ollie, raising an eyebrow. "'The last school incident'. Care to elaborate?"

Mason
 Mason jumped to the side out of instinct, her sword narrowly missing him. "Woah, hey, chill out," he told her, raising his hands in mock surrender.

She grinned sheepishly. "So, uh.... turns out that school buildings are a lot more flammable than I thought?"

Kahlen 
"I wasn't going to cut you in half," Kahlen said, trying not to laugh, "yet. Your dear dad was right there. Gone now." Her sword now in necklace form, she put it back around her neck.

 "You burned down a school? Nobody got hurt, did they?," Ethel pressed, eyeing Ollie suspiciously.

Mason
 "...Kronos? I knew it," he muttered, glancing around pointlessly. "Leave it to him to try to ruin my life again. Oh well. He can't. Already ruined it in, oh, 1800?"

"Don't give him any ideas. Trust me, it always gets worse. For instance, I could have cut you in half just now. You're welcome."

Mason
 "I love how you feel the need to lecture me about how 'it always gets worse'. Trust me, honey, I know."

Kahlen 
Kahlen gave him a poisonous look. "Great. Conversation over. I've got things to do." With that, Kahlen (trailed by Auberon because why not) headed off to find Chiron.

Columbina
"I mean, I scorched myself, but no. Not this time, anyways." 

Kaylee
Kaylee crossed her arms distastefully. "16th century. One of Kronos' kids possesed a man in my town. Slayed six people with a stolen monarch sword before someone shot him down." She grumbled.

 "At least you weren't close with them," he responded under his breath, casting Kaylee a glance.

Ethel
 "So what you're saying is that, while no one got hurt that time, people got hurt during previous times?" She sighed. "Honestly, Ollie, why?"

Kahlen 
This is why I don't get close to people. Makes things unnecessarily complicated. Never mind that. There were more pressing problems than Kahlen's social reservations. Like Kronos running around and talking in people's heads.

Kaylee
Kaylee gaped in disbelief. "One of those was our lady's maid!"

Columbina
She frowned. "I didn't mean to the first few times - honestly, I didn't."

Mason
 "Did my old man call you away from the best people in your life on multiple occasions? I don't think so," he snapped, eyeing the small girl with grimly smug contempt.

Ethel
 "...But you meant to do it the latter times?," She waited a moment before adding, "I mean, accidents happen and all, but... don't play with fire."

Columbina 
Ollie remained quiet, tucking stray hair behind her air as they walked.

Kaylee
"Are we really gonna argue this here?" She groaned, rolling her eyes.

Kahlen 
"Yes, I'm sure it was Kronos, and no, I haven't had any visions or dreams or anything because I haven't slept more than four hours in the last day!" Kahlen's patience, already stretched thin, was at the breaking point. "I'll let you know if anything happens," Kahlen snapped over her shoulder as she stalked away. Emergency chocolate or not, tonight was bad and getting worse by the minute.
