Columbina
"If not the forest, then the beach." Ollie said, any trace of uncertainty banished. 

Kaylee
"I've met Kahlen before." Kaylee laughed, following in Mason's steps and hauling herself to her feet, swaying a little unsteadily.

Ethel
 "Alright. Forest first?" she asked, letting go of Ollie's arm upon realizing that she'd held it for quite a bit longer than necessary.

Mason
 "She's great, no?" he asked, glancing down at Kaylee. His expression changed from sardonic and relatively lighthearted to concerned in a matter of seconds. "You're swaying," he pointed out unnecessarily. "You alright?"

Columbina
Ollie nodded, peering out into the darkness shyly, less confident than before - she had always hidden her childish fear of the dark out of embarassment, especially when she had gone to Camp Jupiter.

Kaylee
"I'm fine." She dismissed, although grabbed onto Mason's arm with a vice grip, visibly paled. 

Kahlen 
"Oh, really. I didn't notice," Kahlen said with a slightly sarcastic edge to her voice. There it is again. "Wait- no one move." 

Ethel
 "Come on, then," Ethel concluded, beginning to march into the shadows. She glanced back. "You coming or not?"

Mason
 "Kaylee...," he started with uncertainty, trailing off. "Do you wanna sit back down?," he eventually asked, his face almost as pale as hers, partly because she was draining his energy and partly because he was starting to panic.

Kaylee
"No, no, no-" She winced as she realized what she was doing, dropping her arm and scrambing back a few paces. "Sorry."

Columbina
Ollie nodded, following after Ethel. Going for a walk isn't unlike Beau, but if anything he's more precise with timing then Kai is.... He should have been back by now.

Mason
 "No, Kaylee-," He put his hand back on her shoulder. "I'm not gonna let you die," he muttered under his breath, mostly to himself.

Ethel
 After a while, the silence became uncomfortable, so Ethel decided that small talk would be a good way to break the ice.
 "So, uh, Ollie, tell me about yourself. If you want. I'm terrible at this."

James
 "We just, like, think of the kind of food we want and it shows up, right?," he asked Floyd, ungracefully flopping down into a seat at the Hecate table.

Kaylee
"I'm alright, okay?" She ducked out from under his hand, spinning on her heel to remain facing him. "Really, I'm fine, I was just sitting down for a while."

Floyd
"Yeah." Floyd snickered, joining the table only a little more mature than how his boyfriend had. "We found that lining up all the plates side by side along the table can summon a six foot sandwich, which is something I never thought could be entertaining."

Columbina
She laughed. "Me too, honestly. Well, I'm originally from Australia, and I moved here almost... hm, maybe 4 months ago? I was at Camp Jupiter most of that time, though. When my parents found out that I was a demigod, they agreed that it would be safer for me to find a camp for kids like me, but they wanted to be here for me as well." 

Mason
 "Oh, yeah, I assume Johnny just wanted to take a nap? Joey was just playing a prank on us? Ashley really just moved away? No, you were not 'just sitting down for a while'. You were dying, Kaylee, and I'm not going to let that happen," he snapped, quickly taking a step towards her and grabbing her hand in case she was planning to run away from him.

Ethel
 "It's cool that your parents wanted to be here for you. I'm pretty sure mine just wanted to get rid of me," she replied, her voice emotionless for the most part, thought a hint of bitterness was evident.

James
 "We have to do that someday," he insisted, grinning up at Floyd. He grabbed a plate, peering down at it for a few seconds before he made up his mind. "Corn. Lots of corn. The entire plate just filled with corn." The plate, or whoever was responsible for magically filling it, obliged. "Nice."

Ollie winced. "I'm lucky my parents decided to stick with their problem child - most don't."

Kaylee
"Well I'm not now!" She snapped, tugging uselessly and unsuccessfully to get away from Mason.

Ethel
 "It's just funny, because my dad was a problem child. Why he couldn't put up with his, I don't know," she continued crossly. "...Sorry. Overkill?"

Mason
 He stood his ground for a little while longer, watching her as she aimlessly tried to tug her hand away. Eventually, he let her go, his hand falling back to his side. "Fine. Go. Go somewhere and fade away all by yourself. See if I honestly care," he growled, stalking past her and continuing his trek back to where Kahlen and the others had been.

Kahlen
There. Kronos. Kahlen unclasped her necklace, holding it in her palm until it became a sword. It moved. Where...? Oh, great. Mason's coming. Focus.

Denver 
Denver had looked away for 10 minutes and Ollie was already gone, along with Ethel. He sighed. At least she wasn't alone. He came back over to sit by Lilly. "You can go to bed, if you want," he said quietly, so that he didn't wake the others up.

Columbina
She shook her head. "No, I don't mind listening to you talk. Let it out." 

Kaylee
She fumed silently but trailed after him - fine, she was fine, she had just taken energy from Floyd and Mason and she was fine. She wrung her hands together in an almost painful way as she calmed her panicked breathing. She knew that both herself and Mason cared for each other, but they were also the two most stubborn, relentless people in existence and sometimes that didn't work out well for them.

Mason
 "Salutations, losers," he greeted, coming to a stop not far behind Kahlen.

Ethel
 She nodded, beginning her rant. "It's not my fault I have ADHD and dyslexia and maybe a touch of anger issues, you know? So I was never a perfect kid, but I couldn't do anything about that. But because of that, all the adults always seemed to look at me with a mix of pity and distaste... That's really the only expression I can remember any of my adult relatives besides my dad giving me. My dad's is just constant distaste. And this got even worse when Miranda died and I was the only witness. They all just assumed I either did it or was involved with the people who did, which is why I wasn't allowed to see my cousins or the rest of my family anymore - besides my dad - after that. My cousins, Alexa and Nick, they were the only two people who didn't always look at me like I was a psychopathic maniac ever since I was born. They lived - still do live - in Virginia, and I live... or, lived, I guess, in Florida, so I hardly ever got to visit them as it was, but after that... I haven't been able to see them since. I was eleven when... when Anda died. So it's been about four years since I've seen my cousins. All because I got blamed for my best friend's death, as if, you know, I wasn't scarred enough."

Kaylee
"Don't be rude." Kaylee grrumbled under her breath, resigning herself to the other side of Kahlen, away from Mason. She raised an eyebrow towards the newest addition to the group. "You're new. Like, within the hour new."

Columbina
"Ouch." She winced, rubbing the back of her neck ad they trekked further into the darkness. "I mean, I'm surprised my dads stuck with me after the last school incident, but yeah. I get it about hating pity."
