Kaylee
Kaylee gave a friendly wave in response, turning back to Mason with her arms cross and eyebrow raised. "Spill?" Although by her tone, she was less asking him and more telling him to explain.

Mason
 Mason sighed, forcing away his reluctance. "You... you deserve to know. And don't take that lightly - I don't usually tell people that. But, onto my incredible and must-hear story... I- I never really told you much about my life before I got stuck in time for the first time. You know that. And there's a reason. You- Well, you would've been pretty young then, so you might not've picked up on it, but... Ah, um, anyway, my best friend- I was best friends with a kid named Johnny. We were, what, fourteen? Yeah, me and him were fourteen at the time... well, around fourteen. It wasn't all in one year. We were...," He faltered, realizing for the first time that his voice was shaking slightly. He pushed his years' worth of bottled up panic away. "-Doesn't matter. I don't even know why I started telling you this," he finished angrily, shifting away from her and standing up.

Ethel
 Ethel reentered the tent, having gone and retrieved her dagger from the beach. Ollie appeared to still be asleep; Beau was nowhere in sight. Shouldn't he be back by now? Surely it's past 3a.m.
 "Hey, Ollie," she murmured, attempting to shake the girl awake. "I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but Beau's not back yet."

Kaylee
Kaylee didn't follow him, but rather stared after him, eyes glazed over. "My brother and sister were put to death, when I was younger." She stated, the memory seeming so old yet so fresh in her mind as she remembered how she had kicked and screamed and fought to get to her siblings until she had been thrown into another room by her mother and the door locked behind her - when she had finally been let out, they were long gone, although that night she could see the bonfire from her window and cried long into the morning. "Alice was called a witch, and someone sold out Jack and Tommy to the church for nothing more than a meal together." Her expression screwed up into something unreadable. "We harbored Tom for a few years, seeing as noone knew who he was anyways."

Columbina
"Hm?" Ollie sat up, rubbing blearily at her eyes. "Did Beau leave to begin with?"

 He stared at the small girl for a short while, eventually settling back onto the ground beside her. "What happened to Jack and Tommy? That's... that's what me and John were afraid of. So we had to keep it a secret. We had to act. Act like we liked the girls who took interest in us. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like girls too, but... it was still hard - for both of us. And even though we knew what we wanted, we also knew we could never have it. So, much like how you thought you were doomed to be a housewife, we thought we were doomed to live out our lives pretending to be just like seemingly every other guy in that time period... I mean, there were exceptions, of course, but you get what I'm saying. And then- then I ended up getting trapped in time, and when I reemerged, a war had broken out, and- and during a battle I caught sight of Johnny - he was grown by then - but before I could get his attention...," A long pause, "-...He died, Kaylee. And for years before he died, after I'd disappeared, he'd probably thought I'd ran away to avoid getting caught. He'd probably thought that I'd intentionally left him to deal with it by himself. But the last thing I've ever wanted to do was leave, and yet look at me - him, Jane, Bruce and Joey." Another pause. "Wow, that was... real eloquent. I used to pride myself on being a songwriter, and now here I am incoherently rambling for however long this took about my tragic life story. And, um, about that... Don't tell anyone, alright, Gremlin?" He wiped his eyes, a bit shocked when he noticed that the action had caused his hand to become slightly wet. I was - am - crying? When did that happen last? 1812? Yeah. Johnny.

Kaylee pat Mason's arm in a more awkward physical gesture than her previous hug, smile part nostalgic, part saddened as she spoke from memory. "My mother never had anything against Thomas, she just... It was so wrong to her, to everything she had been taught. My father, surprisingly, adored him. He treated Thomas like a son. When John got found out... well, neither he nor we were planning on giving Tommy up, no matter how hard we tried to save John. So John refused to tell the guard, and we claimed to not know anything about it. My father said that he had picked Tom up as an orphaned teen on his travels. None of the house staff would have said any different." She sighed, brushing the hair from her face. "I only wish we could have kept John and Thomas alive and together, though."

Beau
Beau's eyes skipped over the small clock on the table at first, but then returned to it. 4:30 AM. Was something about that important? He felt like it should be, but he didn't know why, and eventually the odd feeling faded and Beau sighed. It was probably just exhaustion, mixed with the confusing mess of not knowing who he was or a single fact about his own life. Beau scooped Rhyme up and swung out of the bed, walking to the door and poking his head out. Mildred was seated in a recliner in the sitting room just down the hall, and she jumped slightly at the sound of the door. "I almost forgot you were here, dear," she exclaimed, looking up from her knitting and gesturing for him to speak. "Where are we?" Mildred smiled sympathetically. "Whitefish Township, Michigan. I don't think you're from here, it's a pretty small and tight-knit population and I would have seen you around. Maybe a nearby area? You don't really have the accent, though, so I'm not sure." Beau shrugged, mumbled a thanks, and retreated back to his room. Rhyme wiggled from his hands and bounded toward the bed in a clumsy manner that made him smile. She couldn't get to the top on her own, so Beau picked her up and set her on the sheets. "You could have just waited," he whispered, ruffling the hair between her ears as he climbed back into bed. He pulled the blankets over his legs, still sitting upright, and chuckled as Rhyme tried to burrow under them. At least there was something good in his life right now.

He shrugged. "Okay. So why aren't we running across camp to tell him?"

 He nodded wordlessly, his eyes fixated on the ground as he spoke once more. "You didn't have a problem with them, though, right?"

She scoffed. "'Course not, and if you think that I have a problem with you, you're absolutely wrong."

Kahlen 
"Because the Olympians may try to ruin everything, but there are three things that are ultimately more important and one of them is chocolate. On that note, we should hurry."

 "Yeah. He left a note for you to read. It's under your pillow. I kind of glanced at it while he was writing it; it said he planned on being back by three, and I'm pretty sure it's past three," she informed the girl.

Mason
 He smiled, though it quickly shifted into a smirk. "You don't have a problem with me? No problem at all? Wow, that's new." Yet another pause, this one rather short. "But... thanks. I've never viewed myself as wrong, really, but... I guess my reluctance to tell people comes from me being a product of my time... Well, times."

Kaylee nodded. "I understand. You know I do."  She glanced after Floyd and James with a small smile. "I'm so glad that everyone is more accepting now, though."

Ollie cursed under her breath, and after grabing the paper she sat up and braced herself as she swung her legs off of the bed with a sharp breath in, standing slowly and only starting to walk once she was sure she wasn't going to be sick or pass out. "Thanks for telling me." She smiled briefly at Ethel. "I'll go look for him - I doubt he has a watch on, and he's probably just hanging out in the forest."

 "Wait. 'Everyone is more accepting now'. Why didn't you say so earlier? That would've saved me from a lot of angst, kid," he responded, though he was a bit more relieved that he let on.

Ethel
 She reached out and grabbed Ollie's arm, stopping her.
 "You just almost died. I might've been the one who caused that, but I'm not gonna let you go walk around in the woods at night with a freshly-stitched stomach by yourself."

Kaylee
Kaylee winced. "To be honest, I'd forgotten. And the last time we spoke, we were yelling at each other, so..."

Columbina
"Come with me then." She half offered, half teased as she used Ethel's grip to her advantage, pretty much dragging the girl out of the medical tent with her.

Mason
 "...Touche."
 Mason turned his head to look in the direction that he'd came from. "Wanna go see what Nikki and co. are doing? Kahlen's there. She's entertaining. I dunno if you know her or not, but if you don't... just trust me." He stood up.

Ethel
 "Uh- alright," she replied, a bit confused as she stumbled after Ollie, though she was unsure as to why.
 "So, um, where do you think he would've gone?"

Nikkol
"You are hurrying quite fast, I see," she commented drily from the shadows, having been listening to the two. The left corner of her mouth lifted just a little bit. The two figures hadn't moved at all, and Nikkol couldn't help herself.
