Columbina
Ollie dozed off as Denver tugged at her stitches, eyes heavy and lulled to sleep by the murmurs floating around in the tent.

Floyd
He scoffed, amused despite the situation as Kaylee's little taut, balled up form relaxed, and she grinned sheepishly at Mason, cutting her expression off with a yawn. "M'sorry for yelling earlier."

Outlaw
She let the shadows slip away and carefully and quietly stood up and turned to enter the cabin. She needed another pop to keep her goin til she collapsed from exhaustion.

Beau
Beau cast a glance at Ollie and then froze. Her still form made his heart skip a couple beats and it took a moment for his brain to finally realize she was asleep and not dead. That's probably good... Sleep is supposed to help with healing, right? Beau took a deep breath to try and calm himself, unsure if his panic had flashed across his face but not exactly having the energy to care.

Mason
He didn't respond, instead taking to mentally berating himself for not lending Kaylee some time sooner. Remember what you told yourself, Mason. Only do this when absolutely necessary. It wasn't 'absolutely necessary' until now. And besides, Kaylee's... special. If someone's already dead, it doesn't count as messing with the inevitability of death, right? Correct. However, despite his attempts to convince himself that he hadn't made a dire mistake, he couldn't shake the guilt of letting her come so close to... No. Stop.

Beau
He glanced around, carefully freeing his fingers from Ollie's, and then stood a tad hastily, his chair almost toppling to the floor. He grabbed it and settled it back before it could crash down and then took a few steps to a table. On the table were some blank papers and some pens, and he pulled a paper from the pile and started scribbling some letters on it in his small, neat handwriting. He signed his name and carefully folded the paper in half, walking back over to the cot Ollie rested on and carefully sliding the paper halfway under the pillow. Beau then turned toward the infirmary opening and made his way out, stopping himself from sprinting out and walking calmly. The closeness of all the people had gotten to him and he needed to get out, along with the constant guilt of not having gotten Gavin there in time. Once outside he made a small detour to stop by his cabin and grab Gavin's music player. Slipping the ear buds on he entered the woods and started toward the beech tree.

The paper he slid under Ollie's pillow read:

Ollie,
I needed to get out of the infirmary. I'll be back by... 3 AM. At the latest. That's only a couple hours (at the time I'm writing this), so no need to come looking for me, okay? I just need you to stay there and get better. I'll come back and won't leave again all night. I promise.
~ Beau

Outlaw
She grabbed a pop then grabbed her black cowboy hat, cloak, and pulled the hat low over her eyes, stuffing the pop into the cloak pocket. She silently slid out of the window, making no sound, then wandered absently towards the woods, staying in the shadows so she was basically non visible.

Beau
He finally arrived at the beach and climbed onto a thick branch, watching the fireflies flicker through darkened tree trunks and dance among the leaves and brush. The song playing in his ears was one Gavin had tried to make their "theme song" way back when they were, what, nine? Beau let himself relax a little, glad to be alone - though he did enjoy spending time with Ollie, he still needed some alone time - and in the woods.

Outlaw
She made her way swiftly to the mansion, her steps sure and silent. If a person wasn’t looking for her she would look for all the world as just a shadow. She reached the mansion and fumbled the key into the lock, opening and closing it carefully. She went into the dog section of the enormous old barn, where she watched in amusement as some puppies played happily about. They where 10 months now, old enough to leave their mother. Outlaw crouched beside them, gently picking the quietest, most thoughtful one up. She had detected the boy and also his sadness, and figured the pup would be good for him. It could cut the most hilarious capers when it wanted to. “You’ll be good, lil one. You’re half wolf, half Newfie, and all heart and loyalty” she murmured fondly too it, carrying it carefully against her chest, although it was to big already to do so comfortably. She exited the gates, locking them behind her, then set off silently towards the beech tree the boy was sitting in.

Beau
The song changed, shifting to one of Gavin's most recent favorites. Funny how the music player is technically mine but most of the songs are Gavin's pick. I can't complain, though. His thoughts swelled mainly on memories as Beau tried his best to focus on all the happy ones. He made an effort not to worry about Ollie, though occassionally she would slip into his mind. He tugged one earbud out as a deer went flying by beneath him, white tail high in the air in warning. Something had startled it. Beau wasn't too concerned, but if it was another creature he didn't want to miss it.

Outlaw
She caught herself as she caught her foot in a vine, and managed to avoid falling over and avoid making any noise. Ok, maybe I do need to get that leg looked at, dammit. She thought, trudging onward. She reached the clearing and waited at the edge for him notice her, gently cradling the pup to her chest with a still slightly bloody hand. Her hands where permanently blood stained it seemed.

Beau
He scanned the ground below without moving his head, not wanting to startle anything. A dark figure stepped to the edge and his eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out who it was. Finally he placed it. That one girl, whatever her name was. He sighed, but it was cut short when he noticed the large pup in her arms. Beau instantly recalled the stray pack and the puppy Gavin had given him. In a moment Beau had swung down from the tree and started making his way toward her.

She watched him make his way towards her from under her hat brim. She waited until he got closer, gently rubbing the pup behind its ears. It panted happily then playfully grabbed her fingers in its jaws and began to chew on them contently. She let it despite its needle sharp lil teeth.

He came to a stop and studied her. "What are you doing in the woods at 1 AM?" Beau asked, but in a tone of apathy mixed with some curiosity, thanks to the dog.

“Staying up til I collapse from exhaustion, you?” She replied matter of factly.

He shrugged. "Mourning my friend." Well, that's the short version. "Your dog?"
