Greek Mythology Roleplay

Kahlen 
Kahlen nodded in agreement to the statement, but her mind wasn't on the conversation at hand. Similar to Chiron... Zeus is his brother... that voice was like... but how are they all connected?! I hate missing pieces.

Nikkol
She listened to the conversation, hoping to overhear some answers, but not really getting any thanks to her lack of understanding. She opened her mouth to ask about Kronos but immediately shut it when something bright shined above her. Nikkol glanced up, hand snagging her spear that she had set down, to find a floating, glowing laurel wreath above her head.

Kahlen 
Kahlen turned to face the glow emanating from Nikkol. The girl's aura had gotten stronger. "Took long enough," she muttered. "Y'all are getting slow." Loud enough that the girl could hear, she called, "That's Nike, goddess of victory and all that fun stuff."

Nikkol
She looked away from the glowing leaves and over to Kahlen. "So she's my mother." The statement was a question spoken in a matter-of-fact way. 

Kahlen 
"You're right on target. Let's just hope and pray they don't announce a quest in the next twelve hours." Kahlen could hear a rumble of thunder in the distance. "Oh, stop whining," she told it. "I insulted you- nothing new. But by all means, take it personally."

Nikkol
She sighed quietly. I didn't ask for this. "So what does that mean? Being a demigod."

Kahlen 
"You really want me to go into detail." Kahlen said, raising an eyebrow. 

Nikkol
She shrugged, standing up but not moving from the shadows. "I'm guessing monsters? I fought some back in my village, they would come occassionally. Michael," don't show emotion Nikkol, "and I discovered they don't die with normal metal, he helped me find someone who fashioned my spear with something that would kill them." 

Kahlen 
"Celestial bronze. Monsters aren't the end of it- we're constantly being sent on quests-" keep it together- "and more often than not someone dies. The quests are usually due to the gods' own stupidity and lack of good judgement, of which they are seriously lacking. Because you've been claimed, you're now more obvious to monsters and your aura is stronger. The aura really only matters to me, but fair warning, I guess. The gods don't like you because suddenly you exist and you can do what they can't and they hate needing help and all that jazz. Basically, death risk increases by a long shot."

Nikkol
"I think the man said it was some kind of gold, but I could be mistaken..." Nikkol murmured. "They sound like excellent parents," Nikkol commented at the end, a sarcastic edge to her voice.

Kahlen 
"Imperial gold, then. That guy was Roman. We're Greek here. Interesting." Kahlen shook her head. "No kidding. My dad... he's an, well, interesting person. All the rest hate me, too. Life's great. Nightmares, visions, confusing messages, and on top of that I can sense people's auras and presences that shouldn't be there."

Floyd
Floyd grabbed James' hand dragging him to stand as he whipped his head around, staring out the entrance of the dining pavilion. "Kaylee?" He breathed aloud, turning back to James. "Sorry for pulling you, but we have to find Kaylee. Something's wrong, I can feel it."

Ethel
 Ethel sighed, slowly making her way over to Ollie's cot.
 "Look, I'm sorry, alright? About stabbing you, and... Yeah."

Mason
 Mason snickered under his breath. "I dunno, princess. I'm pretty sure my dad is more interesting than yours."

James
 "Um- okay," he huffed, instinctively tightening his grip on Floyd's hand.
 "'Something's wrong', as in..?" BAD BAD BAD BADBADBADBADBAD-

Columbina
Ollie laughed, dismissing the apology with a wave of her hand and a wince. "No hard feelings. I'm not even mad, anyways, so no apology needed."

Floyd
"Something bad-" He cut himself off, and as the couple hurried out through the pavillion entrance he spotted Kaylee, caved in on herself on the ground a little way past the door, tiny form shuddering and flickering, shifting from how she was today to how James had seen from the casino to a variety of other times, some that even Floyd himself didn't recognise. "Kaylee?" He called, more so she knew they were there.

Ethel
 "Um... alright. I don't really know how to respond to that, but okay," she replied, shrugging slightly.

James
 "That's bad...," James murmured, stating the obvious.
 "I didn't- The casino- That didn't cause this, did it?" he asked, knowing the answer but not wanting to accept it.

Mason
 Mason wheeled around before she could respond, staring up at the dining pavilion.
 "Something... No. Something's off. That's-," He had been going to say 'that's bad', but before he could finish, the realization hit him like a brick. "-Kaylee. I gotta go," he finished hastily, pushing past Kahlen and sprinting towards the pavilion.
