Greek Mythology Roleplay

Jade
She giggled. "Deal." Bobby came onto the porch and gestured for them to come inside. "See ya later, doofus," she said, giving Alex a quick hug before turning and heading up the stairs. 

Kahlen 
Kahlen followed Jade inside. She didn't know what to think about her. She was obviously nice, but couldn't she sense that something was wrong about Alex.

Alex
Alex waved goodbye, turning when Ava called his name. "Kissed your girlfriend goodbye yet? Okay cool, I have a way you can leave the camp without being spotted." She grinned, looping her arm through the bend of his and dragging him towards the forest on the hill.

Katie
Katie had ended up choosing a weapon, but she hidden it from the others. It's not that she wouldn't show it to them.... eventually.... but Katie felt like it was something that needed to be kept a secret. Mistlematch, wickedly sharp, ivory handled dagger that was almost the same length as from her elbow to her fingertips hung tucked under her jacket - althought the sheath had originally been fitten for around the thigh, that would be uncoverable for Katie. "Ah." Shannon had said, when Katie picked it up. "It likes you." "It likes me?" Katie asked confusedly, and Shannon nodded. "It's name is Mistlematch. It was made from a dragon, long ago - It's had many owners, but will always remain faithful to it's current. The blade glows when danger is present." She paused, concern filling her face. "Katie, that blade is dangerous. It's done things before... bad things, that I hope you never use it for." Katie nodded, slipping the scaled leather sheath onto her leg. "This is.... surprisingly comfortable." Katie admitted, turning to Shannon. The blade felt good, not too heavy or too light, like an deadly extension of her arm. "Please don't tell anybody I let you have it." Shannon said, when Katie had slipped it under her jacket. "I won't." Katie had grinned, and Shannon returned the gesture as they both turned and went to the big house.

Bobby
He led the group to the rec room, where Chiron was sitting in his wheelchair. Bobby looked around. Katie wasn't here yet. He walked to the porch, where Katie was just arriving. "Hi," he said. "We're in here." He led her to the rec room.

Jade
She followed Bobby into the room, noting the ping pong table and walking over to it. She picked up the paddle and bounced the ball on it a couple times before sitting in a chair, looking to Chiron after Katie had arrived. "Demigods," Chiron said, "you have been chosen by the gods for this quest. I hope you realize the importance of that gesture. Never before have the gods hand-picked heroes specifically for a quest in such a way." He looked at each of them. "The situation must be more serious than we thought. I trust you all will do your best to carry out your mission." He glanced at Bobby. "Bobby will be your satry 'chaperone,' so to speak, though he isn't much more than a teenager himself in satyr years." Bobby looked at his cloven hooves. "This is a large group of demigods, usually only three go on a quest. You will need to take careful precautions." Chiron paused once more, looking at each of them once more. "The rebel god has arranged a day in which they will face you. They sent an anonymous message to Zeus, saying that if you fail to defeat them on that day, they will continue on to overthrow Zeus." "No pressure," Jade mumbled. "The rebel god appears confident that they will defeat you. I hope you will disappoint them." Chiron took a folded piece of paper from his pocket. "You will need to go to a small town in Florida on the Atlantic coast." He handed the paper to Katie to pass around. "There is the name of the town, and a vague description of the house the god wants to meet you at. They will not give specifics, saying it will add to the challenge." 

Katie 
"A challenge, huh?" Katie mused, passing the note to Jade beside her. "So all we have to do is defeat this one rogue god.... and that's it? All over?" She frowned. "That seems too easy."

Kahlen 
Kahlen chose not to sit, but stood, leaning  on the wall with her arms folded. When the piece of paper came to her, she studied it, committing it to memory.
She looked up at Katie's comment. "It is too easy..." she said. "I um... had a few dreams last night..." Kahlen knew this was the right time to tell.

Jade
She glanced at the paper. It literally just described the house as "white, gray roof," and gave the town and state. She passed it on to Kahlen.

Chiron turned to Katie. "No doubt the god will have surprises for you once you get there, in addition to monsters you encounter on your way." He turned to the corner, and a girl stepped from the shadows there. She had been there the whole time, Jade had guessed. It was the prophet girl from the night before. "I foresee that the god is watching you, maybe at this moment." Chiron and the girl turned to Kahlen, and Chiron motioned for her to continue.

Kahlen 
"You and me both," she muttered, perhaps too loudly. 

"What were the dreams about?" Katie asked gently, glancing over at Kahlen. Apparently bad dreams as a demigod weren't uncommon, as Katie had been told. 

Bobby
Chiron nodded at Bobby. "Bobby will take you to the armory now to pick out some weapons. You will then have five minutes to get your things and decide on a method of transportation." Bobby stood and headed to the door, leaning on the doorframe to wait for the kids.

Jade
She glanced at Kahlen, wondering what she had meant. She gave her an odd look, and then Katie spoke. She wasn't sure what dreams Katie was referring to, but if it was important to the success of the quest, Jade thought that they all should probably hear it.

Kahlen 
"I had... a nightmare first. It might be a vision. I was standing on top of the hill by the pine tree, looking out over the valley. All of the sudden, a creepy voice laughed and it seemed to echo around the valley." She took a deep breath.
"From the center of camp, a wave of darkness spread in all directions- and in the center, there was someone standing there, untouched by the darkness. People were running away, but as the darkness enveloped them, they just... disappeared. The darkness came after me and the voice told me to run, and then said I could never outrun them. The darkness just swallowed me up." She sighed. 
"And then there was another. My dad sent me a message. Something about our quest, and keeping an eye on someone, and the world would end if we failed, and that Olympus was depending on me. I don't know exactly what he said because the dream kept cutting in and out. Just thought you should know."

Jade
Jade almost choked. Darkness enveloping the camp? Yeah, shed like to sit out on that one, please. "Who do you think it was in the middle? Someone already here, or maybe the rebel god?" If they could prevent that from happening, Jade would like to do so.

Kahlen 
Kahlen winced. Should she tell her? "I... I definitely know them, or at least have seen them before. I couldn't make out details in the dream though."

Jade
"Okay," she said. "We'll probably find out, anyways." She stood and headed to the door.

Bobby
He led the group of demigods to the armory. "Pick out a weapon or two. We'll need them on the quest. I wish you guys could get a chance to practice, but..." He trailed off.

Kahlen 
"I'm good," she said when they reached the armory. She touched her locket absentmindedly. "I think I've got it covered."
Kahlen felt bad about not telling the others about Alex, but she had a feeling some of them- at least Jade- wouldn't believe her. So, she kept quiet.
