Greek Mythology Roleplay

Jade
She shook her head, which was a bit odd with it leaning against his shoulder. "The gods chose who they did for a reason." She picked up the shell off the sand, turning it and letting the water trickle in. The cream shell turned green like her eyes, but the change was not obvious in the dark. "Here's some magic for you." She set the shell in his lap, the corners of her mouth tugged upward in a slight smile.

Katie 
When they were inside the pavillion, Katie slowed, turning to lounge at one of the tables. "So - it's mechanical, I can tell that much. Probably one of the artifacts recovered from bunker 9." She leaned forward in interest. "But what does it do?"

Alex
"Beautiful." Alex grinned, adjusting how he was sitting lightly so that (most of) the water would stay in the shell. "Well, good luck on your quest. I don't want to say that you'll need it but.... good luck." He turned a little more towards Jade. "When do you guys leave?"

Kahlen 
Kahlen took a deep breath. "Promise not to tell anyone?" she said, taking off the locket.

Katie
Katie rolled her eyes with a huff. "Obviously" She grumbled, but her excitement won over her sulking, and she perked right back up again.

Kahlen 
"Thanks. Sorry, there's just... certain people that I'd prefer not know about it.
Kahlen closed her eyes and concentrated. The locket morphed into a bow and quiver, then back to locket form, and into a bronze sword. 

Jade
She rolled her eyes at him, picking the shell up again. She tipped it upside down, but no water came out. "That's not the magic, doofus," she teased. Her grin softened into a smile. "If you need to talk to me in an emergency, you can use this." She wasn't sure how she knew all this. She gave it back to him. "All you need to do is say my name into the shell. But you can only use it once." She gave Star a pat and then answered his question. "I'm not sure when we leave. We're meeting with Chiron tomorrow morning, I believe."

Katie 
"Woah!" Katie's eyes lit up, and she went to reach out for it, but remembered last minute that she would break it she touched it, goshdammit Katie she hasn't even had it for a full day don't break it already, she retracted her hand and pulled it to her chest. "So can it only change to weapons you can wield? Or weapons that we have here?"

Alex
"Ah." Alex grinned, but he still thought the shell was pretty regardless, so he just left it. Star snuffled at Jade's hand, looking for treats. "I can't believe you haven't even been here a day and you already have to leave again.

Kahlen 
"I'm not sure yet. The boy said it'll change into whatever I want it to. I wonder..." Kahlen closed her eyes again. The locket morphed into a spear, then a shield. Maybe something that isn't a weapon? The locket turned into a pencil and back to a locket.

Katie
Katie was almost jumping up and down in her seat in excitement. "Okay, that has to be from bunker 9. That's so cool!"

Jade
She sighed. "Yeah. I think the god who is turning against Olympus is the Voice. Which means they're physical, and you can beat them up now." She grinned, remembering his statement earlier that day. She didn't want to leave the beach. She was happy, warm where she leaned on Alex and where Star had his head on her lap, the backdrop of waves soothing to her nerves.

Kahlen 
"Thanks." She said. She looked outside the pavilion. "I'll- uh, be back. I need to go check on something."

Alex
"Aw yeah." Alex murmered, smiling at the thought of beating up a god. "Who do you think the god is? And why would they have a reason for turning against Olympus and the others?" He wondered out loud.

Katie
Katie nodded in response, watching the dying embers in the bonfire.

"I have no idea who or why. I just know..." She paused, and her voice turned to steel. "I just know that I'm going to prove to them that nobody controls me." The ocean surged forward, the sizzle of the foam receding sounding like a hiss of defiance. 

Kahlen 
Kahlen left the dining pavilion. She didn't know where she was going, but trusted her instincts. She ended up in the forest  (big surprise) and saw something moving through the forest. It saw her and nodded its head. Kahlen didn't know if it would attack her or not, but it wanted her to follow, so she did. 
The creature led her to the lake and stopped on the edge of the dock. She followed hesitantly. There was a faint glow emanating from the water. She peered over and was sucked into another vision. 
Kahlen was standing in a grand palace. Her father- still looking like a teenager- paced back and forth in front of a throne. "If it doesn't work, if she didn't get my message, we're ruined," he muttered. "I gave her the gift for a reason. If she doesn't use it in time..." He trailed off. "The world as we know it ends. That's a great motivation, don't you think?" He asked no one in particular. Then the vision faded. 
The creature was gone. Kahlen headed back to the dining pavilion.

Alex
Alex smirked. "That's my girl." Alex thought proudly, the horse behind them snorting in agreement. "Well, I have a gift for you as well..... but it seems you've already met him." Alex laughed, patting Star and watching the stars weave around his fingers.
