Greek Mythology Roleplay

Alex 
"You can do it, Jade." Alex called. "Just focus on the water. You're in your element, make it listen to you." He knew who the voice was, but she needn't bully Jade like this.

Kahlen 
Eventually, Kahlen fell asleep. That was a big mistake.
Her dream started pleasantly enough. She was standing on the top of Halfblood Hill, looking out above the camp. Everything was normal. But from the center of camp, darkness started spreading in all directions. Campers ran screaming, trying to get away. The darkness was too fast; it quickly enveloped them, cutting off their screams. At the center of the storm stood a shadowy figure. They looked oddly familiar, but Kahlen couldn't see details from this distance. The darkness moved faster, coming up to where she was standing. A chilling voice laughed, the cold sound echoing around the valley. Kahlen started running, trying to outdistance the wave of darkness. Ah, little Kahlen, the voice said. You cannot outrun me.... then the darkness enveloped her, and she was transported to a different dream. 

A blonde, teenage boy appeared as if on camera. "Oh! It finally got through!" He cleared his throat. "Hello, Kahlen. It's your dad." Kahlen couldn't decide whether to throw up or slap him. "Congratulations on discovering your gift. You're welcome. Anyway, while you are on your quest-" he was cut off by a booming voice. "APOLLO! GET OVER HERE NOW!" Apollo glanced behind him. "I don't have much time-" the signal cut in and out. "beware of-" "keep an eye on that one kid-" "Olympus is counting on you." Then the signal went dark.

Jade
She opened her eyes, at first startled by the swirl of water around her. She felt a tug in her gut, like the day the water fountains exploded and blasted those bullies with water. The ocean frothed, splashing and spraying, and Jade opened her hand palm up, thrusting it upward. The ocean obeyed, gathering under her feet and lifting her higher and higher into the air. She couldn't see anything, however, because the salty spray still swirled around her figure. "Thank you. You have shown me your skill, and now I am prepared to defeat you." The Voice chuckled and Jade felt its grip on her mind slip away. The water lowered back to normal, and the pillar around her splashed into place, leaving her kneeling in inch high water. 

Alex 
Alex was by her side in seconds. "I mean, that was super impressive and all, but we really need to stop letting ourselves be antagonized by creepy voices." He laughed, offering her a hand. 

Kahlen 
Kahlen sat up, pulling her knees to her chest. That nightmare..... She shuddered. The whole valley was shrouded in that dark fog.... and the person in the center.... Kahlen shook her head. And the message her....dad had sent her? Just thinking about it made her want to throw up, then find her dad and punch him in the face. She fingered her locket, staring out into the darkness of the Apollo cabin.

Jade
She took his offered hand and got to her feet. She wasn't even wet. "It was a trick," she said quietly, her tone defeated. She walked out of the water and sat hard on the sand, picking up a sea shell and spinning it in her hands. Star nudged her slumped shoulders, but Jade ignored him. 

Alex
Alex looked hopelessly over Jade's shoulder, and the boy amd the horse shrugged together, deciding to tread lightly. "Sweetheart, how could you have known that the voice was gonna exploit you by decieving you?" Alex said, flopping down on the sand beside Jade, while Star lay down behind the two and curled up, serving as something to lean on and moral support as he lay his head in Jade's lap glumly. 

Katie
"Shhh. We're gonna get caught." Katie snickered, creeping around the side of another cabin, either the Apollo one or the Artemis one if she had to take a guess. "Who cares?" Shannon laughed, sauntering out from the shadows. "I care! I was supposed to meet with my friend after dinner, but then you just had to drag me away into trouble." Not that Katie was really complaining; but Kahlen had seemed..... distressed, at dinner.

Kahlen 
Kahlen decided to try out her new weapon. She took the locket off and placed it in the palm of her hand. Kahlen closed her eyes and thought of a weapon. A sword, she told the locket. She opened her eyes and she was holding a long sword that was faintly glowing a bronze light. Okay, bow. The sword morphed into a longbow and quiver. This could be very handy, she thought.

Jade
She didn't respond, her hand resting lightly on the star horse's head. She leaned her head on Alex's shoulder. "You said, 'we really need to stop letting ourselves be antagonized by creepy voices.' You never mentioned any creepy voices before, Alex." She kept her gaze toward the horizon. A swirl of saltwater came from the sea and landed in her hand. She weaved it in and out of her fingers absentmindedly.

Kahlen 
Kahlen heard someone outside and got out of bed. She opened the door and stepped out, quietly shutting it behind her. She put the locket back on. "Katie?" She hissed quietly.

Alex
Alex stayed quiet for a bit. "Okay, you've got me. Guilty as charged." He moved a little closer to Jade. "I didn't say anything before because it just didn't seem..... important? I mean, I was fine apart from having to listen to some voice in my head." He paused, voice quieting. "They told me you were going to get hurt, Jade. And then you fainted." 

Katie
Katie just about jumped 20 feet in the air, turning to Kahlen with a noise halfway between a giggle and a gasp. "Oh my GOD, Kahlen, you scared me!"

Kahlen 
"I do that a lot," Kahlen said. "You wanted to see my necklace?"

Jade
She didn't know how to respond. The water in her hand formed a mini whirlpool, spinning in her palm, unable to go farther than her fingers. "I wish you were coming on the quest," she said softly. "I don't know how I'm going to do it without you." She had been thrust into this world of demigods and monsters with him right there, always seeming to know what to say or do. She had been a wreck since she got here, constantly relying on others. She couldn't deal with her own problems by her self like she normally would. 

Katie 
Katie perked up. "Oh! Yeah!" She turned and whispered a goodbye to Shannon, nodding her head towards the (now empty) dining pavillion. "Do you want to go somewhere more private?"

Alex
Alex chewed on his lip anxiously. "Well... there is a way I could come with you.... but you already have way more people on your quest than you should - something bad is already destined to happen." He admitted. "But I could still come... if you wanted me there, that it."
