Bobby's death had hit them all hard, and Jade wasn't surprised to see that it had also hurt Eudora. As Eudora trailed off, Jade mentally made sure her wall was in place. "Yes?" she said, raising a brow, a poker face set firmly in place. Don't show emotion don't show emotion don't show emotion... She wanted to cry again over Bobby - and Joshua, for he was still on her mind - and so many other emotions toward Eudora were flaring up inside her. Anger, sadness, pity, compassion, hope, happiness.... But none of them were reflected in her normally expressive eyes.

Eudora
Eudora looked up at Jade and, seeing that nothing, she assumed Jade didn't want to be her friend anymore anyways. "Um, I didn't really mean... it," she said as she put her weight on her left leg. "I don't honestly know what happened..."

Jade
"What happened," she said, "is you listened to the Voice." Jade sighed. "And Eudora," she waited for Eudora to meet her eyes before continuing, "I'm glad you didn't mean it." She allowed herself a small smile, though it was hard. Today had been rough. "We've already been through a lot together. I don't want to lose another friend today."

Eudora
Eudora looked down. "It would probably be better if I didn't do the rest of the quest with you guys... I have a feeling a said some pretty stupid things to Kahlen and Ethel, and I killed Bobby."

Jade
She thought a moment. She was pretty sure nobody on the quest would accept Eudora back among them, even if Jade spoke up for her. "I can call your pegasi and you can ride back to Camp Half-Blood," she suggested. "I can explain to the others later tonight that you're sorry and clear your name if you'd like."

Oh of course she doesn't want you around. No, who would ever want someone so strong and dangerous around them? You have the power to destroy their quest and rule the world. Of course she doesn't want you... Eudora shook her head. "No..." she muttered. She focused back on Jade, trying to keep anger down. "Um, ya sure that's fine,"

Jade
She winced at the anger in Eudora's eyes. "I'm trying to help," she said gently, still leaning on the tree, and moved her hand off her sword. "I'm not sure how the others would respond to you. I think this will be safest." She smiled again. "I'll be back for you, I promise." She turned and whistled, and Eudora's pegasus came toward them. "Do you have your stuff? I can run and grab it for you."

"Okay." She rubbed the pegasus' nose gently. Take her back to Camp Half-Blood. You know the way? "Yes, of course." She nodded and turned back to Eudora. "Travel safely," Jade said, and she gave her a quick, friendly hug and then stepped back.

Eudora nodded and gave a small smile. But I was also chosen for this quest... I should be going as well! Oh shut up....

"I'll see you later," Jade said. "Who says that? She's just going to die like the others." Shut up! It just laughed.

"No I'm fine thanks," she said nodding in graditude. She hoped up onto the Pegasus and turned it around. She looked back at Jade. "Sorry again for the jerk I've been."
