Greek Mythology Roleplay

Alex
Alex saw Jade waving and waved back, and Ava squeezed his hand a little to get his attention and tugged him over to the Hecate table, pulling him to sit down beside her siblings. He was quickly introduced to Valloma, Floyd, Kaylee and Ace, and they all turned to Chiron when he walked in.

Katie
Katie glanced over at the table beside her, catching Kahlen's eye. 'Cool necklace.' She mouthed. 'Can I have a look later?' She could tell it was mechanical from here, probably from the forges. She had suspicions that she was a child of Hephaestus, but she'd have to be claimed to be sure.

Kahlen 
Kahlen waved and nodded at Katie. Thanks, she mouthed back. 

Chiron
He trotted into the dining pavilion and took his place at the head table. Dionysus lounged there as well, wearing a bright Hawaiian shirt and flip flops. A few satyrs and nymphs were also seated there. Chiron faced the kids, all seated at their tables. He cleared his throat. "We welcome several new campers tonight. Kahlen and Denver Winter," he nodded toward the Apollo cabin, "children of Apollo." There was scattered applause. "Jade Harper, daughter of Poseidon." Some more scattered applause. "Katherine Aldebrandi, unclaimed. Ethel Carden, unclaimed. James, unclaimed. Lena Grey, unclaimed. Theo Jones, unclaimed. And Alexander Ivanov, unclaimed." He looked around the room. "Alex," he said gently, "you are to sit at the Hermes table until you have been claimed." There was more of the scattered applause and some snickers. 

Jade
She cringed when her name was called, but luckily there weren't too many whispers. She clapped with the rest as her friends were called, smiling at them. Chiron finished, and as everyone thought dinner was to be start, a girl at the front table stood. Jade tilted her head slightly. Who was this? "There is a new prophecy," she said. There were several murmurs around the room. Green mist poured from the girl's mouth, and Jade watched in alarm. A different voice came from her mouth. 

"Olympus in chaos, mortals at peace.

A god who turns and safety cease. 

Water and fire, day and night,

revenge wrought by mortal's plight."

The mist disappeared, and the girl sat down. Jade shivered. That was super creepy.

Kahlen 
Kahlen watched carefully as the prophecy was announced. "A god who turns," she murmured. She glanced discreetly at Jade, and watched Alex carefully. Something told her what he did next could be important.

Alex
Alex turns confusedly to Floyd sitting beside him. "A god who turns? Turning as in restless, or turning as in becoming?" He asked, and Floyd's brow furrowed. "Switching, maybe?" Alex nodded, recognizing that Floyd had spoken, but that he was still confused.

Kahlen 
A chill went down her spine as she studied Alex. She heard a haunting laugh echoed in her head. Do not interfere, Kahlen Winter, said the she'd heard earlier. You don't want anyone to get hurt, do you?  "Get out of my head," Kahlen growled.

Jade
She was thinking about what the prophecy meant when the Voice spoke to her. "Careful where you step, Jade Harper. Or you will lose everything." "Shut up," she mumbled. The plate in front of her magically filled with BBQ ribs. The cup filled with a dark, bubbling liquid. She took a sip. "Coca-cola!" she exclaimed happily. She glanced up at the head table. Chiron and the girl were discussing earnestly. She shrugged. Probably about the prophecy. Jade didn't understand what it meant, and she didn't have any desire to try and figure it out at the moment. She was hungry. She bit into a rib and rolled her eyes with pleasure. This was good. 

Kahlen 
Her plate magically appeared full of food. She picked at it, not really hungry after the events of the day. 

Alex
Alex stood up with a sigh. "Y'know what, whatever. We can figure this out later, I don't want you to get in trouble because I'm sitting here. I'll talk to you guys la-" He was cut off by two torches blazing over his head, the "flames" flickering like real torches would, and a thick, pitch black fog spreading through the pavilion. "Oh." Alex said, in a little voice. "Sit back down," Valloma grinned. "Brother."

Kahlen 
Kahlen's head snapped up from her musing and saw that Alex had been claimed. The fog was an interesting occurrence. She glanced at her brother.

Jade
She looked up sharply when Alex stood. Torches blazed above his head, but she was focused more on the black fog. It seemed to crawl over the floor. As it reached her table, she squeaked and pulled her feet up onto the bench. It continued to roll over the floor in waves. Jade tore her eyes from it and stared up at Alex, eyes wide. 

Kahlen 
Kahlen watched the black fog ripple across the room and looked at Alex suspiciously. What ARE you hiding, Alex? She wondered.

Alex
Chiron dipped his head in recognition. "Hail, Alexander Ivanov, song of Hecate." "Woah!" Alex murmured in amazement at the fog, reaching out to touch it, smiling softly as the fog twisted it's way around his fingers like it had a mind of it's own. 
"Kaylee, if you would be so happy as to do the honours?" Ava asked, Kaylee's little blond curls bouncing as she nodded, the others watching as she stood on her chair and sucked in a breath, exhaling hard like she was blowing out a candle, and all the fog blew away, twirling up into the sky in plumes, like smoke from a fire.

Jade
She let out a deep breath when the fog disappeared. She slowly put her feet back on the floor, her cheeks red with embarrassment. Had she really just freaked out because of some fog? She took a sip of her coke and looked to Chiron, who had started speaking once more.
"Offer your sacrifices to your parents, and then I have an important announcement." 
Jade watched as kids took plates to the fire in the middle, scraping off some food. She walked to the fire and pushed a couple ribs into it. "Uh, hi, Dad," she murmured under her breath. She went back to her seat.

Chiron
"Olympus is in disarray," he stated when everyone had finished. "Before the prophecy, I was unable to speak to you about this. One of the gods is trying to take over the throne." An Ares kid stood. "Hades!" He pointed accusingly at the Hades table. "We all know he is jealous of Zeus!" Chiron held his hand up for silence. "Nobody knows who has turned. The gods are not speaking to one another, for they doubt each of their intentions." He paused and then continued once he knew he had everyone's attention. "The gods demand a quest. The demigods who go on said quest will get further details. However, this quest is different." Murmurs swept the room once more. "The gods are choosing who goes." 

Kahlen 
Kahlen scraped the majority of her plate into fire. She wasn't hungry.
She perked up when Chiron told them about the prophecy and quest.
