Alex could already tell this was a bad time to be turning up before he even arrived, but he did so anyways. "Jade?" Alex asked carefully, although he already knew what had happened. He wanted to badly to just pull her into a hug and brush away her tears, but he didn't know whether that would be appreciated. He took a couple steps towards her, but kept his hands to himself.

Jade
At first she wasn't sure if it was just another voice in her head, but it was too close, too real. Her head would have snapped up in surprise, but she was well aware of the tears streaking down her face, so she wiped them away before she glanced up at him. "Yeah?" she said, trying to keep her voice from breaking. She was decently successful.

Alex forced himself not to pull a sympathetic face. "How are you holding up, love?" He asked, quietly, like he was afraid to break the silence.

Jade
She shrugged. "Okay," she lied, though she was sure she was better off than those who had known Bobby better.

Auberon helped her up which caused an unbearable amount of pain in his side for some reason. "What does that mean?"

Kahlen

"What?" Bobby. Dead? Auberon felt sadness and confusion suddenly. He shook his head to stay level, if not for him at least for Kahlen. He could tell Kahlen wasn't doing well at all. "Was it an accident?" he asked quietly.

Jade
Jade paused. What could she say? "It's - it's my fault," she murmured, staring at the tent's canvas floor. "If I had helped Eudora more, she wouldn't have done it. And if I had been quicker, Bobby wouldn't have died." She wiped at a tear that had slipped from the corner of her eye. "And - and it was my fault Joshua died too. I could have saved him." Her voice was a mere whisper. "I'm just a..." There was a few seconds of silence as she debated saying it aloud to someone else, for it would make it true. But then again, she thought bitterly, it already was true. She finished in the smallest of whispers. "Failure."

Kahlen

Outlaw
They continued to parry. She was bleeding from her hand and leg but had also gotten in some good blows. They both stopped for a break, breathing heavily. They stood a ways off from each other.

Auberon
Auberon was trying to figure out why Eudora would've tried to hit Ethel with fire. Actually he was more confused by how she could even do that. He looked back at Kahlen and noticed she was crying. That absolutely broke his heart. "Hey, Kahlen..." he said looking into her dark brown glossy eyes. "It's gonna be okay."

"You aren't a failure, little fish." Alex whispered, scooting a little closer and shoulder bumping Jade to get her attention. "I can't say that this isn't your fault, because everybody plays a part in situations, but I know that you didn't cause this." He glanced up at her. "All those 'what if's are just that, Jade. What if's. You've gotta let them go." He breathed out a little. "I know Bobby wouldn't want you to be so unhappy."
