Gypsy Vanner Club (June)

The way I think we'll do the coat/marking applicators is that the first 10 entries will have a choice to get one, and if they choose not to, then any remainder will be offered to the next people in line. So if your entry is #11 or higher you won't be guaranteed one, but there's a chance it could happen.

For those who are yet to reserve a horse in the foundation contest, the following horses are still available:

Poll Question: I do not think roan should be considered unusual or rare as I have had many roan Gypsy Vanners in the past. I also think you should add smokey cream dun and dunalio.  Thanks!

Thanks to internet issues I haven't been able to get on EV.  I know the Foundation Contest is closed but I wanted to say if there were any unclaimed horses I'd be interested in buying them. Especially if there were a stallion & a mare left. Thanks!

As far as the poll goes, I think the horses whom are recessive with Roan, like all the horses that are RnSb are too common, and thus less desirable. I do think the RnRn should be more desirable though. 

I agree with Notori. 
I think RnRn should be considered unusual, but recessive roan and sabino should not.

Smoky cream dun and dunalino both have a cream gene and a dun gene, and are therefore accepted under the current registration requirements.

I think someone also mentioned adding mealy, but this is already accepted as it occurs due to the pangare gene.

Thanks everyone for all your feedback with the poll. At this stage I am leaning towards accepting homozygous roan, but not heterozygous roan. Please keep that feedback coming. :)

The foundation contest has already started but if anyone really wants to enter and doesn't mind a slight disadvantage due to the late entry you could purchase a 3 year old foundation of your own and just send me a link to it so I can record that as your entry.

My horse never got the PP tweak done to them,  did I miss out or was I truely #9 on the list of 10 horses eligible?

What if we had a breeding contest with prizes for ...

a) Highest Confo foal
b) Highest stat foal
c) Rarest gene code foal (As in search the ENTIRE gene code of the foal and see how many other horses show up with the same thing)


??? 

It would probably be more manageable if everyone only entered one foal each, with the time limit being that the foal MUST be born before the end of the month...

Its just a suggestion, curious to see who likes it or not
