Quincy
Quincy grunted his hello to dogs that raced into the store. He continued to focus on his huge bag of food.

Bailey
Bailey approached the store slowly. Had Man not been as wonderful as she thought he was? She tried to shake off the thought - it wasn't a loyal thought. But she couldn't. Levi's owner was a best friend. Even Karma loved the pet store. Bailey knew nothing of it. She sighed and walked in, head low. Smells hit her nose like a wonderful explosion. One scent in particular made her tail wag. She ran to the bags of food and started sniffing. There - that bag! It was the same kind of food Man gave to her!

Karma

Karma slowed her pace once she was inside the building, she sniffed the air. She could smell everything food, treats and the smell of rubber from the toys. She wagged her tail and went down the food aisle, she grabbed hold of one and pulled off. She tour into it, sniffing before shaking her head. She didn't like dry food, but since it was the only kind other then treat she ate it anyways. When she ate her fill she went to the toys wagging her tail, she grabbed squeaky toy and went to find the others.

Bailey
She tore into the bag, excited, and let the food spill out. It looked the same as it did in her bowl, minus the bowl. She rushed to the bowls and looked at them, head cocked. Her eyes widened when she saw one just like hers. She grabbed it and took it to the bag of spilled food. Picking up the bag with her teeth, she poured some sloppily into the bowl, lots spilling out. She didn't care. With a whipping tail and a mind back in a yard by a doghouse, she ate. When the bowl was empty, she filled it again. Finally, she sat back and looked at it all. She was going to take the bowl with her.
Standing up, she grasped the bowl in her jaws and looked around. Karma went around the corner, so she set her bowl down, put a little bit of food in the bowl, and picked it up again. For later. For memories. She followed Karma and saw her take a toy. "What is that?" she asked.

Whip
The long silence that followed Ace's response made Whip uncomfortable. Since the humans seemed like a sensitive topic for both of them, she decided to bring up another topic. Her grumbling stomach gave her an idea. "Do you know where to get food?" Whip asked, glancing around for something to eat. "I haven't looked much, but when I did, it was only a few scraps, not a large stash that would last more than a few meals."

Karma

Karma put the down, "it's a squeaky toy, didn't you ever have one". She tilted her head, what dog wouldn't know what it was. She picked the toy up and bite down, making it squeak loudly, she smiled "haven't you ever played with one before, there lots of fun". She looked to the bowl with food in it, "what's with the bowl" they didn't have to eat out of the bowls anymore, not with the humans gone and all.

Ace

Ace chewed on the bone that he had been carrying, thinking of a place to find food. He was glad that she changed the subject, "well there's the human store or the pet store, we can also look through the trash". That's where he had found the bone, he was happy when he looked in the trash and found it. "There's probably other places as well that I'm not thinking of", he glanced at her to see what she thought. It didn't matter to him which on, he wasn't even that hungry.

Bailey
She tilted her head, but quickly righted it when the food threatened to spill from the bowl. "I never had a toy." She looked at it with lots of interest, especially when Karma made it squeak. "It looked like fun." She looked to her bowl. "Its the same kind of bowl Man gave me, and the same food." She wagged her tail lightly. "I need a few reminders of him now that they're all gone." She set down the bowl gently and took a squeaky toy down. She bit in and it squeaked. It was oddly satisfying. She dropped it in her bowl and turned toward the other toys. Selecting a rope, she looked to Karma. "What's this?"

Karma

Karma dropped the squeaky toy again, and began wagging her tail. She frapped the other side of the rope and began to pull, "it's a tug of war rope, you hold one end and I hold the other and we pull". She let out a playful growl as she pulled on it, twisting her head to the side as she did. She yanked at the rope putting all her weight into it, all the while her tail wagging.

Bailey
Bailey let out a muffled woof, a happy one. She had never played before! It was fun, doing something with a dog other than fighting. She pulled back on the rope. But, because of her inexperience, she fell backward and let go. "Cool!" She took one off the rack and placed it in her bowl. She also grabbed a ball. She knew what this was. She had seen other dogs play with them with their humans, and without. "I actually have my own toys," she said quietly, but excitedly. She looked to Karma, her tail whipping the air. "I'm going to look around a bit more. You can come, too... I might have questions." She walked around a little, stopping in front of a huge tower of soft things. They looked like mini-beds. And pillows. A bit of both. "What are THOSE?" Bailey stared at them in awe, getting an idea of what they were.

Karma

Karma laughed shaking her head, she thought it odd yet funny that she didn't know what any of these things where. "Those are beds for us, that way we wouldn't be sleeping on the floor". She grabbed one pulling it down "there really comfortable", she put a paw on it pushing down to show how soft it was. "If your taking all that stuff where are you going to put it", the thought of her going back to that house made her a little sad but she didn't show it.

Crow

The cat's eyes widened once more. "Welcome." He stated, stretching slowly. The pet store was unusually popular today, it seemed.
"Take what you need." He leapt down from the cat tower to investigate the newcomers.

Whip
Whip had never been to the pet store or a human store before, so she wasn't sure what it would be like. She had, however, dug through the trash for scraps before, and it was never promising. The best food Whip had found on the streets was live prey, but since Ace had lived with humans before they left, he probably wouldn't enjoy it. "Should we head over to a store to look for food?" Whip asked. "Even if we aren't hungry now, it would be good to at least know where there is food when we are." Whip thought it was a solid argument, but she wasn't sure if Ace did too. I don't know him very well, Whip thought to herself. I'm not sure if he prefers reason or instinct. What Ace relied on could have made the difference between survival and death. But which one was which, Whip didn't know just yet.

Bailey
Bailey stared at the bed with wonder. "Wow." She placed her own paw on it and pressed down. It was soft. "I'm taking it back to Man's house. I'll sleep on the porch. If I take a bed, it'll be nice and comfy." She pulled a purple bed down and laid on it. It was insanely soft and comfortable. She wagged her tail. She was definitely taking this.

Karma

Karma gave her a small smile, "why would you go back there". She just didn't understand as to why Bailey would stay at that house, she looked to the sound of the voice. She tilted her when she saw that it came from a cat. She was fine with cats, just seems that cats don't usually like her.

Ace

"Well I'm positive there's food at the stores but most of it's probably already been picked off by now" he shrugged his shoulders, "if you hungry we can stop by a place, I don't usually go looking for food until I'm hungry". He didn't like the idea of keeping a whole lot of food with him, he saw that he would be made a target with other dogs. Not that he couldn't fight back, he just saw no point in it.

Bailey
Bailey, too, turned to look at the big cat. She wagged her tail slowly, thankful for the distraction but still curious. "I see your not scared of dogs," she commented to the cat. Most cats were, and Bailey had never understood it. She liked cats - they were different, but not bad. She had noticed many dogs chasing them, and had an assumption that those were the dogs that created a cat's hatred of dogs. She smiled at the cat, then turned back Karma. "Because that's one of my only connections to Man. Besides, where else will I sleep?" She tilted her head. "I have nowhere better to go. The porch provides shelter from the elements. This new bed will provide comfort. And now I have friends who can come back and help scavenge for food and play." She smiled at Karma and wagged her tail, referring to Karma herself, and possibly Levi. Thinking of him, she lifted her head. "Where's Levi?"

Levi

Levi perked his ears, hearing Bailey say his name. He lifted his head from the dog food bag and looked around. That's when he noticed a cat. He was friendly, not that Levi saught out to be friends with him. He padded over to Bailey and Karma, "I'm right here." He looked down the isle next to him and saw toys hanging everywhere. One in particular caught his eye, a black and white cow plushie. It's just like the back at home. He reached for the toy squeezing it in his mouth to make the mooing sound.
