*More Heavy Horse Breeds

#78644 Posted on 2016-12-08 13:51:59

Hello again! So me and a friend have been discussing the breeds of EV lately and today i had noticed many people mentioning the Percheron breed. Now i remember when we had this breed before the recode, and i even owned a few, so id really like to see this breed and or any other heavy horse come back besides just the traditional Clydesdale.

Ive had my experience with the Clydes and they were lovely but if you are like some people and have a soft spot for gentle giants like i do i think you would really love this. ALSO i know many people have been wanting new breeds so i am also here to support not only the heavy horses but also the beloved Appendix horses (there is probably a suggestion somewhere mentioning them).

Let me know what you think and why

i just suggested horses like Appendix Horses. I absolutely LOVED the Percheron Horses that were here on EV before the recode. I would love to see them back in the game again.

Knowing me, I'd start a line of Percheron's too. I'm a sucker for the fluffy footed giants. :)

Oh great.......... I might even look into Clydesdales..... >.> But, they're only 3 colors.... :/

:( We had more heavy breeds and they were pulled for not getting very much use. My third is locked up with my Shires, Percheron and Belgian Drafts who are now "no breeds" until I decide what to do with them.

I know that Abbey doesn't have the funds for getting lots upon lots of new breeds and art, but we only have one draft breed... so I support!

Yeah, Gypsy and Friesian Horses are different. Friesian horses are called light draught horses.

I'd love another draft. Even if it's just one more, and honestly I loved the old breed artwork by LoD so I'd be happy with just keeping it instead of getting another, or waiting to get the funds to do so.

Yes, I completely agree with Pistol. The Percheron horses where the best in my opinion.

I'm a bit ambivalent. A lot of breeds got culled for a reason. There weren't enough players to keep them all going. I like how EV is now, no matter what breed you pick, there are several breeders to interact with. That wasn't the case with many breeds before the recode. Fewer breeds makes the community more tight-knit.

Recently there been an increased interest in adding new ones, but I'm not sure whether EV is ready yet.
Adding a new breed for every year could maybe work, that way there's time to establish it properly before adding new ones. However, in time, we would probably end up in the same situation we were in before the recode.

I would agree if new draft breeds are not a very common breeds from the West (which every sim-horse game has in its breed list) but a rare and unknown breeds such as Belorussian Harness horse.

I think it would be fun to see one more colorful big breed draft horse. This would be nice for those who love draft horses, but want something with a little more color than Clydesdales.
