Alex groaned, groggily opening her eyes. It was very early in the morning, and the remnants of the storm were slowly fading out. She had spent the night in the school, which was apparent when she stood up and promptly hit the back of her head on a locker. The blond checked the time on her phone - 4:30.

Luna

Then Luna remembered. She had to tell Landon. "Landon," she said, "I lied to you. What I told you wasn't the way I got my powers. I was born with this ability. I was born in the magical realm. I don't know the whole story, but there was a huge argument between the other creatures, and my parents. My parents are permanently gotten rid of somehow, my grandpa and other relatives went with them, but for some reason my grandma was safe, and took me here." Her voice getting softer, Luna went on. "I didn't trust you at first," she admitted. "But I know I can now. My grandma knew that this would happen someday, and she would be banished as well. But they can't hurt me, they're pretty much only a nusiance when they pick on me. And I'm sure this is the day. Now they're all gone," Luna said.

Landon

Landon was puzzled at the new information, but as Luna went on with her explanation he understood. If he were in that position then he would probably have lied too. "I understand...sort of," Landon said, "I mean that is a pretty interesting story and complicated to an extent, but I do understand why you didn't trust me at first. I wouldn't trust me either." 

Luna

Tears were brimming in Luna's eyes again. "I just don't feel like doing anything right now," she said.

Landon

Landon nodded, seeing faintly that there were tears threatening at Luna's eyes. "That's alright," he mumbled softly, "Do you plan to stay here today?"

Luna

"I guess," Luna said, without interest. Luna had no more words. Everything was gone. Well, except for Landon. At least she could count on him. "Why did this all have to happen?"

Landon

Landon shrugged, having not the slightest clue as to why something like this had happened. He had never heard of such a thing before. "I don't know," he said truthfully. Looking at the time on his phone, it now read 5:01am. "I need to get to the bakery in a little bit to check on things, but I can come back if you would like me to," he said. His mom would be awake in little bit as she usually does, and he knew she would need his help. He knew he was only a couple of houses down, but he had to get his real self back to replace the clones that Luna had left there.

Luna

"Please come back later," Luna said. Luna then teleported them into their clones, and walked out of the basement. She saw the damage, and decided to take a walk. She would walk to school, even though it was canceled for at least a week, just to see if the students were okay.

Landon

Landon nodded and promised that he would see her later. After she left, he turned to notice that his mom was now awake. The expression she gave him was all too familiar. "Who is that girl," she demanded. Landon shook his head before looking at her seriously. "She's just a friend I met at school," he replied casually as if it was nothing. "What have I told you about having friends?" Landon was now getting frustrated, knowing exactly where the conversation was leading to. "I can make my own decisions." He turned around, leaving the basement and going towards his room. He knew his mom was scared of people finding out his abilities and testing on him like some freak, but Landon didn't see any harm about it anymore. No one but Luna knew outside the family.

Luna

When Luna got back, the power was back on, and it was 6:04. She had to take care of her pets. After taking care of most of her animals, she moved on to the box of kittens. Just after she gave them a bath, the doorbell rang. It was Bennett. He had found the owners, and took them back. Luna sank on the couch, exausted. "I wonder when Landon will come back," she wondered out loud.

Landon

Landon stayed in his room reading a random book off his bookshelf to distract himself from the conversation, more like argument, that he and his mom had earlier. It frustrated him that his mom was acting that way, even out of protection. When he finally worked up the courage to face his mom again, he slowly made his way down in to the bakery where she was cleaning up. He began to help her and cleaned the counters off. There were brownies left over and he took a couple from the tray they were on. 'Double fudge with white chocolate chips are my favorite,' he thought. "I know they are," he heard his mom say. He looked up, clearly surprised. "I didn't say anything," he said. This time his mom was surprised, but before she could say anything Landon dashed out the door and down the street towards Luna's house. Not only did he have to ability to read minds, but he had somehow managed to send his thoughts to someone else. He knocked on the door almost impatiently waiting for Luna to answer it for him to tell her about his new ability.

Luna

Luna answered the door. "Oh, hi, Landon. You look like you have something to tell me," she said.

Landon

Landon smiled when Luna finally answered the door. "Big news actually," he said, slightly excited, "You know how I said I've been working on my powers? Well, I've managed to learn telepathy, though, not exactly on purpose. I still can't choose who's thought to hear or send anything to." It wasn't until he finished talking that he realized reading people's thoughts, nor telepathy was exciting. It was actually rather creepy, but that didn't keep his excite away.

Luna

"Wow, that's good, but don't you think that makes things a little dangerous?" Luna said, trying to be enthusiastic, but she was very sleepy. "Like... What if you accidentally reveal your powers? What if you accidentally tell someone something you don't want to tell them?"

Landon

Landon thought for a moment. "I suppose you are right, but that's why I'm learning to control it. I mean we don't have school for a while, and that will give me enough time to learn how to control it." Luna was right about it being dangerous, but he'll have to learn how to control it before someone really does find out.
