Luna

"Yes, it is," said Luna. The walls were a very light blue, and the curtains were a light pink. Her room was fairly large. On one side of her room, there was a turquiose couch facing a T.V. On the other side, there was her desk, her closet, and her bed. There was a chandelier over her desk, and in the middle of the room, there was a light shaped like a 3d flower. "So... What should we do?" she asked Landon.

Landon

Landon scanned the room, unsure of what they should do. He had to admit, although only to himself, that he felt weird about being in someone else's room. "I don't know," he answered after a while of realizing that he hadn't actually said anything. Thunder cracked loudly nearby making him mentally flinch from the loud sound.

Wes

Wes set the rabbits on the floor after petting them a little more, sure that they would find their way back to Luna somehow. Sure enough, the two bunnies and the hedgehog scurried away, weaving through the hurrying students, careful not to be stepped on. "Good luck," he said to them, and continued his search for Alex.

By now, the hall was nearly empty, and he could hear the heavy sound of the rain on the roof, and feel the rumble of the storm shake the earth. A flash of lightning from outside the glass doors caught his eye, and he sat next to the door (probably the most dangerous place in the school) and watched the sky turn purple and green and black while the rain raced down the glass. Wes put his head back against the lockers and closed his eyes. It was a memorable first day of school, to say the least.

Luna

Luna jumped. That lightning was less than a mile away. Luna remembered her pets, so she teleported them back into their cages. "Well... Do you think we should go into the basement, where it's safer? I have some really cool stuff down there." She looked at Landon.

Landon

Landon gave a small smile and nodded in agreement. It was much safer to be in the basement. "What kind of cool stuff do you have," he asked curiously while moving to let Luna lead the way.

Luna

"Well, I have all my pets, a library, an-" Luna got cut short by the doorbell. "Well, I wonder who would be outside in weather like this," she thought out loud. She opened the door. There was a box of kittens. She quickly took them inside, then saw a car drive away. 

Landon

Landon followed behind Luna, peering over her shoulder to see the box of kittens. "Kittens?," he questioned as he saw the car drive away. "Who comes all this way to drop off kittens at someone's house during a storm like this?" He picked up one of the kittens from the box, a fluffy white one with orange staining its paws and ears. It meowed at him loudly and he immediately put it back in the box. "I don't think it likes me very much," he said to Luna with a small laugh.

Luna

"Beckett would." Luna said. "He works for the shelter. He never has to go out in weather like this, but he does it anyway. I hope he's safe," said Luna, her voice trailing off. "He's really nice. But I think we should get in the basement. You hold one end of the box, and I'll lift the other."

Landon

Landon picked up the other side of the box, peering at the kittens inside. He had to admit that they were kind of cute, even if he wasn't that interested in having pets. "So what other kind of pets do you have," he asked.

Luna

Once she got to the basement, she turned the lights on. It looked like the main floor, but there were no windows. There was even a T.V. "Come here, and I'll show you," she said. She took Landon and the kittens to a fairly large room. Inside was a dog, a cat, her two bunnies, and her hedgehog, plus empty cages. "Most of these guys are from Beckett. He's my cousin. I take the animals when there's no room at the shelter, or in situations like this when everyone's stuck at home."

Landon

Landon nodded in a way of understanding. "So you foster them basically," he said for clarification. He looked at the hedgehog, "And that is a baby porcupine right?" He began to laugh half way through the sentence, knowing very well it was in fact a hedgehog and not a porcupine. "Joking, joking."

(fun fact, if you google search baby porcupine pictures of hedgehogs will pop up. XD)

Luna

Luna smiled, and put the box of kittens into an empty cage. It was already 6:00 P.M. "Well, I'm hungry. Let's see what's in the cupboards," she said while turning on the basement kitchen lights.

(LOL also baby skunks, people these days are so clueless XD)

Landon

Landon looked over the cages with animals in them once more, thinking how cool it would be to have a pet. He had never had on before, and never actually bothered to ask his mom for one as a kid like most others do. 'Maybe I can take one home,' he thought. His thought of having a pet of his own was cut short when his stomach growled at the mention of food. "Me too," he said, agreeing with Luna.

Luna

Luna opened the cupboard. There were a few bags of Chex Mix, Ritz Crackers, and plenty more snacks and dried fruit. "Help yourself," said Luna, taking a bag of dried mangoes. "I guess we'll just have to eat snacks."

Landon

Landon grabbed a bag of Chex Mix from the cupboard and began to munch away. "Totally okay with me," he replied between bites.
