Bring back confo shows!

Confo breeding seems hard. You can't gain or change it, like stats and color. So, I think confo shows should be brought back.
Thoughts?

I'm not sure I understand the point of conformation shows. Because conformation is fixed, wouldn't the same horses always win?

I would like this if you could enter the conformation shows AND still a performance division.

I support this if winning confo shows gives confo points, like how performance shows give stats. Some breeds have few horses with confo >90 so being able to earn confo points would be really helpful for breeding.

I don't support gaining conformation points. I feel it is different from gaining stat points - a horse will improve in proficiency of a skill as it uses it more and more, becoming a more seasoned show horse that knows what to do in an arena the more it shows. A horse will never gain a better conformation, though, no matter how much practice it gets or how many times it stands in front of a judge.

Plus, I like that we have stat gain as an easy thing that we can accomplish over a horse's lifetime, but that we also have conformation as something you can purely only breed for. Even color can be bought. Conformation is the only thing in the game that can only be gained through careful breeding. Yes, it's hard, but I think that it's good for the game to have something that difficult to achieve. I also like that it isn't vitally important in a horse - you can have a great show horse with amazing stats, and a low conformation isn't going to keep it from being successful - but it is something to work for that takes strategy and perseverance to obtain. When I get bored of stat gain and rare colors, I will still have that to work towards. I think having conformation gains from shows will ruin that.

But you can tell if you have the best-conformed horse by searching all breeds, all-time in the Hall of Fame. I supposed I just don't understand.

Yes, you can tell, but that's not what we're getting at.
As of now, having good conformation only benefits a player by getting them an expensive stud or sale horse to gain money off of. Any many players don't do that. This would be for money gain and more bragging rights, like Confessor said. Not really to tell if your horse is in the hall of fame :)

I like the idea Of conformation Helping out in shows by maybe adding a "boost" or something to that extent... perhaps. {being a conformation breeder myself} This Could encourage Higher Confo breeding for show horses, but not make it to where only 90 confs and above would always win...

Yes, we can tell who has the highest conformations now, but it doesn't benefit the owners much, except maybe for stud fees, and that only if someone wants to put their stallions up for stud. Conformation shows would be a great way to add incentive and reward to breed for conformation.

I do think it should be a separate thing from regular shows, though. In real life, if a horse can win a race or otherwise perform well in competition, it doesn't matter if its conformation isn't textbook perfect. It only matters in shows that are judged for conformation.

To be perfectly realistic, perhaps a better conformation might give a slight stat boost at birth, since a poor conformation can sometimes decrease the ability of a horse to physically perform something. For example, a really poorly conformed Thoroughbred is not going to have the same potential for speed as a perfectly conformed horse, but if the poorly conformed horse is carefully trained vs. a perfectly conformed horse that is neglected and left to loaf around, the training will overcome the initial handicap. I think shows should still be judged solely on stat levels - if you can train that poorly conformed horse up to a high speed stat, it should definitely outrun a "perfect horse" with a lower speed stat, and match a horse with the exact same stat.
