GIMP QUESTIONS!!!

Click Ctrl + L to make sure you're on the right layer, and to get the right color go to Image -> Mode -> RGB, not greyscale c:

Try undoing what you did before:

""colors" at the top and select "levels". Then I change it from "value" to "alpha" and click "ok"."

Change it back to value and see if that fixes it.

I'm a dolt XD I was on grayscale...
But I don't understand how to actually tell which layer I'm on. I did Control + L, but nothing really happened. And it still colors over the lines. I'm probably being blind and not seeing the obvious XD
And even on Value, it colors over the lines.


EDIT: I was missing the obvious! I finally am able to color! Until I screw up again...
