compiling color + image errors

#61600 Posted on 2016-08-16 11:19:14

What are all of the current glitches going on with image display and colors? Or genetic sequences.

I thought it might be nice to have them all in one places.

LIST:

Leg markings not passing {or only rarely passing from dam, never from sire.}
ATA/AT missing display picture in TWH?
ROAN, TOBIANO, LP getting a flip flopped and causing horses to have incorrect images or genotypes.

What else?

**EDITED** Brown (At) gene is showing up in the genotype for Trakehners, when it is a color that is not available. Hence, ghost horses appear.
Example with coat marking
Example with no coat markings

Brown (At) is not in Tennessee Walkers nor Trakehners in the game. The problem is in the genotype, not the images.

I'm not sure if this counts but for me some images have the little "image not working" square in the upper left of the horse image. Whenever I click on one and open it in a new tab it ends up being one of the horses layers, but the horse seems to be displaying properly. The little squares are annoying though...

(I can post a screen shot if that would help...)

@Raptorfang - it shows up on a fair number of the horses on my second account, but I noticed it first on a horse in my main.

I've seen 3 white DWBs; not a possible color, so no image. None had their genotype revealed so I can't speak to whether the glitch originated there or not.

EDIT: Grabbed one out of the RC (here). The white gene does show up in his genotype, but aside from the fact that white isn't allowed in DWBs, shouldn't it be a marking--not a color--phenotypically anyway?

Sonoma;

I think white works like grey does on equiverse (in game, not in real life). Abbey seems to have it coded as a complete cover up instead of a giant white marking. So it over writes the horses base color like grey does, so you have to reveal the genetic sequence to see what is underneath.

Okay. I thought I'd seen other horses where white was a marking rather than a color.

Huh it looks like it is displayed both ways:

LpLp shows correctly on Appaloosas, however sometimes the game will eat the PATN 1 genes, and therefor the horses look like solid colored horses, instead of showing their P1P1 pattern correctly.
