LOL It's just so quiet :\ Usually there's chatter on the forums and what not.

Could be we're all doing the same thing and just excessively checking the forums while not posting anything. Never know.

That's a definite possibility lol. I go look at my horses. Look at other random crap. Look at the forum.. rinse and repeat.

I find it really funny because I used to post on the forums quite a bit but now I mostly stay silent..... though my forum stalking hasn't let up any lol

Seems like these days the forums consist of mostly RPG related posts which is kinda.. idunno.
The art posts have definitely slowed down since when I used to play.
It's odd.

I'm not really too active here anymore except for lurking. It is quite a bit quieter than in previous days and it's sad. I hope it comes back to life. I need more stuff to stalk. :o

The rpg threads were pretty active on old ev though art is definitely slowing down.
Most the more experienced artists are dealing with life at the moment or having technical difficulties. Some are also taking their business elsewhere since there's only so much you can do with EV currency -shrugs- There's ebbs and flows to life-only makes sense it happens to sim games as well.

It would be really nice if the horse designs died down a bit and more tag and sig sales came around though. I'll be honest when I say I'm getting rather sick of design sales lol

I feel the exact opposite, Eliza. xD There have been tooons of tag sales and almost none of them particularly interest me. I wouldn't mind having more of them if they were of higher quality, though, and I will say I'm not really interested in buying designs at the moment, either. I'd prefer more large art, though (and I don't mean just colored in free line art). I love stuff where you can see the detail. I do wish there were more sig sales. Just nooo mooore half-assed taaaags. Dx

I would LOVE to see more sig sales. They've always been less frequent than tag sales but it seems there's even fewer around ._.
I don't really see the current tags as being half assed but more of that's the skill level of the artists who are actively producing at the moment. Not to say there aren't half assed works out there, because I have definitely seen some. lol
What I've noticed when it comes to buying art is that artists are asking more and more for their art to the point where I don't want to buy it (and refuse to buy) because I think the price does not accurately reflect the quality. More experienced artists see this and take advantage of it, selling for even more, or just sticking to auctions(though as someone who has done 1000+ recolors, auctions are fab). Ordinarily this would be a smart move, but from what I've seen, since most people can't pay those higher prices, those sales don't do too well and those artists tend to get discouraged. Some start to wonder if it's worth all the recolors in the first place, find other places where it's worth their while and drift off....

That's how I've been seeing it lately anyway xP obviously it doesn't happen that way for everyone, but going off of comments from artists this is what I'm seeing.

I'd have to agree there with the pricing. Stuff that I wouldn't even pay for goes for 50k at a minimum and the better artists are just insanely priced. Generally for people like Maple and Kite or other really good ones - I don't even look anymore because I know I can't afford it. I don't make art so I don't have a crap ton of disposable EVD and my EVC is pretty low these days as well too. SO I just keep playing the game. I hope the forums pick up again. Too quiet.

I like the quiet :). Quiet usually means viewer problems... usually... sometimes... not really.
